Uh, what? Men should be able to do what they want, not be shoved into outdated gender roles in order to be considered ‘masculine’, if he wants to decorate, good for him, if he wants to go out hunting, good for him. What is more masculine, conforming to what others think he should do or doing whatever it is that makes him happy and not giving two shits about what others think? Not to mention I have no idea how anything you said is relevant to my post.

I think the point of the article is to make men less like doormats and show them that they are acting like doormats and they shouldn't think they have to deal with that kind of crap, I have seen a disconcerting amount of men have these cruelties afflicted upon them and they just accept it.

I think the point of this list is to point out to men (and women who have inflicted these cruelties) the more common things women do that they themselves may not see as particularly cruel and a disconcerting amount of men (in my experience) just accept, false rape claims and the like are obviously much more horrendously cruel but it isn’t as commonplace as the behaviour outlined in the article and not as many men have to deal with in their everyday lives.

This is a difficult one for me to come to a conclusion on, I agree it is unfair that the woman can opt out and the male pretty much has to go with whatever she wants, but once that child is born it is another human being and I think its right trump both the mothers and the fathers, both parents knew the potential results of sex and that child is the result and deserves the support of both parents, it’s not its fault that one parent did not want to have it. I’m confused why you guys aren’t liking this, sure being “knocked over the head’ isn’t the most considerate language to use but he was talking about when both parents are working, I thought you supported men becoming more involved in the family unit? I mean how can you expect equal custody consideration when it has been the female taking care of the kids the whole time? I just want to know more about what the general thoughts are in this area.

Yes and men are all sweet and caring until they don’t get what they want, then they turn into rapists... I mean are you fucking serious? The MRA movement seems to be rapidly becoming like the misandrist feminists, look I want to support you guys, I really do but comments like this with up votes make me wonder why I should, I like the movement, I just don’t like the movers.
