I wouldn’t say precisely that people do good deeds because they want stuff, but yes people participate in a structure and encourage others to do the same with the expectation that they too will be able to benefit from that structure. Its called reciprocity. Yes there are no altruists out there. But the idea i see pushed around by some people against the whole “nice guy” conversation. Is that a REAL good person does good and doesn’t expect anything in return. I call bullshit, NO one behaves that …

The problem is... Most of what is actually abuse, is considered "normal" by society. I would largely agree with this statement. Which is why most of women’s abusive behavior is ignored, normalized, and invisible which leads to men’s abuse being magnified. IPV is a prime example, where 50-70% of aggression is bi-directional. Considering that studies show that in cases of uni directional violence, women are often more likely than men to be the aggressor. This would imply that it’s ACTUALLY men who…

Considering that virtually ALL abusive behaviors have their progenitors, why is it that the term “reactive abuse” is always deployed as if to explain away women’s abusive behaviors, but rarely if ever deployed to explain away male abusive behaviors. It’s as if you believe that men are fully accountable for all of their behaviors no matter what, but women are not…

How are you defining hierarchy?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/26 01:06 PM

Well the ways in which Capitalism is bad is that it is NOT a fair hierarchy, there seem to be a difference between the ways in which western capitalism is described and how it’s used by elites. There are ways to have a more fair human centered capitalism, notice I DID specify that a hierarchy needs to be both coherent and relatively fair.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/26 12:52 PM

I agree capitalism ain’t doing so hot at the moment, but how does that relate to what we’re talking about right now?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/26 12:44 PM

Its the feminist framing that “patriarchy harms men too”. I disagree, on the contrary having a coherent “fair” hierarchy is the ONLY way most societies are able to keep the peace. Because it ensures that every man has a chance at surviving and thriving (not that every man will, because historically not every man survived and or thrived and or reproduced), but it maintains order and participation of the most possible men (which typically is needed for a society to meep moving).
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/26 12:34 PM

Excuse my bluntness: There are several problems with the possibility of a men’s body positivity movement. There’s actually a very broad spectrum for men, of what an “attractive” or dateable or fuckable woman is. But there appears to be a much more narrow spectrum of what an attractive or dateable or fuckable man is for women. Also men dont control access to sex, so we have no real power to impose what attractive means to women. So if we want to extract attention, sex, relationships, self-esteem,…
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/26 11:38 AM

I really don’t understand what you’re saying…too many generalities. But i see guys disagreeing in here all the time, just by the nature of all the factions in this space. But guys are also not inclined to agree with and trust the female perspective because of so much bad faith and shaming thrown at us A woman having a conversation and trying to get empathy in this space can be difficult, and even be perceived as a bit selfish as most of the men in this space are NOT given empathy and often seen …
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/26 11:56 AM

This is not “men are wonderful” syndrome. This is a triggered trauma reflex from decades of being bombarded by ubiquitous “men are terrible” “men are stupid” “men are violent” content. I’d also put money on it that the comment wasn’t carefully framed as “this specific instance” but was aimed more generally at men, or even some men. Men are people too Men need positive reinforcement Men need to feel respected and loved Can’t keep beating us up and expect us not to have a reaction

We’re not. We are surprised that average women are not attracted to average men, and annoyed that average women tend to rate themselves higher than their appropriate attractiveness level, and that average men tend to be either invisible, or treated as much less dateable than seems appropriate.

This is a really bad argument, this is more a cautionary tale of falling into the pits of debauchery, in Hollywood or amongst elite circles of wealth and power. Im not saying that everyone who called, visited, and/or partied with Epstein knew beforehand that he was running a child sex trafficking ring on his private island (all though I’m sure many did) But i can guarantee you they weren’t expecting a few rounds of pinochle.

Getting your foot in the door is NOT 95% of the work. Getting your foot in the door is simply the opportunity to take a shot, you still need to take the shot and land it and close the deal, and keep in mind at ANY point you can say or do something weird that turns her off. Or you can be so awkward and anxious that you say nothing, hit her with the deer in the headlights look…that one use to be my favorite.

As an attractive person who has also struggled with crippling anxiety, and has fumbled MANY opportunities, social skills are critical. Being attractive gets your foot in the door…thats it, you still need to be able to bring it home.

It absolutely boggles my mind that you think thats a “weird expectation” So if a child is playing in the street and a car is coming, do you need the child to listen to you immediately because their life is in imminent danger, or do you want to have an extended back and forth and convince the child to listen, explain to them about automobiles, and velocity, and car crashes, etc. And before you try to deflect with something like “are you saying a woman is a child” no I’m using a child as an exampl…

What from what i said leads you to that assumption? Leadership is not necessarily about absolute authority. But if women want to complain about protection they need to be willing to accept leadership. So then you’re going to have to find a woman that agrees with your value system or at least won’t have to come in contact with your value system. I believe that’s the type of value conflict that would prevent a relationship progressing to the phase of marriage and beyond. In the same way a man that values loyalty and respect, but the woman he’s dating believes that he’s not entitled to loyalty and respect as a boyfriend, but only as a husband and father, that relationship SHOULD not progress to …

Yes and I would criticize women who don’t show the requisite empathy and responsibility towards their men. But would you leave your mom or your sister to die if she did something stupid like panic? Could you honestly live with yourself knowing that someone you claim to care about got stabbed beat to death murdered because you were too worried about your own personal safety? Is your own personal safety and comfort your top priority?

Well ignoring the fact that i said even a good non romantic same gender friend shouldn’t leave a friend behind… Its my belief that a man’s job is to protect a woman physically, and a woman’s job to protect a man emotionally. Not that a woman CAN’T defend a man physically, but in most cases she will be at a disadvantage considering most attackers will be men, and because biology. So it is at minimum impractical to expect that a woman should be equally responsible as first line defense.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/26 01:52 AM

He absolutely SHOULD be shamed. If other men had to defend your women FOR YOU, because you high-tailed it out? You have failed… If you want to run because you’re scared don’t leave her GRAB HER! If my platonic MALE friend did that to me we wouldn’t be friends anymore…

That’s always the response, but you pretend as if communities are full of altruists. Women regularly claim that they are abandoning dating and marriage because it no longer benefits them. It seems like women are allowed to have conditional participation, but men are not?

Walking a woman to her car, and picking her up from her house are completely different things. Not wanting a stranger to know where you live is understandable… This is one of the discussions I’m always a little dumbfounded by. I don’t understand how women can simultaneously have such low empathy for men, see majority of men as threats, but also bemoan the lack of protection from men. Yeah I don’t buy this argument and i really think this just helps perpetuate a culture where women can routinely get free stuff while men can have no expectations. I think there is a strong counter-intelligence narrative out there keeping men’s (in particular white men’s) ire trained on black and brown immigrants and liberal institutions, rather than corporate forces who are suppressing wages hoarding wealth and making EVERYONES lives difficult. That’s what i think is behind this global rightward political shift and this rise in religiosity. And the rise in white Christian nationalism here in the US.

You can argue that the extent to which anyone cares about anyone male or female is based on an understanding of their needs and what they are able to extract from the relationship(s). People aren’t a bunch of altruists walking around. They participate because it’s practical:

Not doing shit for free is a significant point of contention. Capitalism ingraines transactionalism and erodes selflessness. I don’t think men or women have ever acted out of selflessness. Thats actually in part my point. I think the breakdown in gender relations is a result of the deterioration of the social contract. Men are not able to extract what they feel they are entitled to from society, in some ways society has become quite hostile to men. Effectively incentive structure for men has bee…

Who told you this? Who told you that being and man and attracting women and successfully attracting a partner was “effortless”. I would agree that if men experienced life as series of effortless victories then yes it WOULD be silly to ask for sympathy. But successful men are respected NOT because success is effortless, but BECAUSE it is difficult and rare. And men ask for sympathy because their experiences are difficult. People just don’t get it. I think what we need is a male:female translator. After hearing the same arguments and responses over and over for so long, it cant just be that everyone is lying or everyone is a bot…🤨 I honestly think that many people mean what they say, but men and women are just operating on different definitions of words like “confidence” “nice” “entitlement” etc. That and people’s feelings keep them from being able to engage in certain topics reasonably.

If we all (including all the women) know men lie so much WHY does it work?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/25 02:20 AM

People lie. Some lie to themselves, some lie to others, some do both at the same time. Its a game, in the same way a guy buys a fake gold chain and everyone knows its fake but his friends don’t call him out. They are all engaging in the lie, they are all engaging in the fantasy. Especially when you have a woman who seems to consistently date the same types of guys who tell the same types of lies. THOSE are the lies she WANTS to believe. The guys are giving her the RIGHT fantasy to indulge in.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/25 02:07 AM

It’s not that men don’t want to hear from women, it’s that there is a disconnect between what most women say is true and what appears to be true based on their choices. And that signals either a lack of awareness or intent to deceive.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/25 01:24 AM

No thats not strange at all, my contention is that that guy was bad from the start. He didn’t TURN bad. Women want to pretend they were tricked. Guy friends know when their guy friends ain’t shit (to women).
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/25 01:08 AM

Don’t you think it’s strange that almost no women claim to like bad guys but practically every woman that ends up with a bad guy seems to feel like he changed into a bad guy behind her back just out of the blue. I mean are women just terrible judges of character? Are men just mega geniuses and super manipulators capable of continually pulling the wool over women’s eyes?

Beauty is also a performance of a type, you can tell if you juxtapose a tomboy vs a really feminine girl. A lot of these are learned behaviors, ya know how someone sits, how they carry themself, how they talk even, how they dress. I once saw a video of a trans woman describe how she had to train herself to speak in a feminine way, then she spoke in her natural masculine voice and it was fairly jarring to hear. I think this is what a lot of guys in this space miss. They see what a woman is as “in…

Saying men and women have the same needs is not true the way you’re implying. For instance men and women both desire security from their partner, but providing “security” for a man and for a woman are different things. It is true that we don’t rely as much on individuals to provide some of our needs, because we live in an industrialized, technology filled world, that does a lot of the heavy lifting, but you’re not going to sterilize relationships by removing all the “nature” from them.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 12:45 PM
4

The assumption being that men’s needs are provided by inherent traits. I wouldn’t use those words but yes women tend to have MORE external needs than men, thats a fact of nature. But what a “good man” is and what a “good woman” is tends to be defined by their ability to understand and provide the needs of the counterpart.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 11:35 AM
6

No its not, men risk their lives for women because (as they understand it) it is their JOB to do so. It is the CONDITION under which they can receive what they want, respect and love. Men who don’t show a willingness to risk their lives for their women are NOT respected and generally are not loved.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 09:53 AM

Worse, what many of these men believe is this principled respectable state of unconditional love is actually a sort of feckless desperation. Clinging to an ideal that doesn’t actually exist. “I love you even though you do nothing for me and treat me like shit” Well sir thats not love, thats you desperately needing to feel in love.

I’m sorry to inform you of this but sexual attraction doesn’t work like that. Despite the romance novels men don’t just have eyes for one woman. Now “addiction” is a specific thing but a man’s gaze will wonder that is just a fact.

Some women OPENLY admit that nice guys/good guys/squares are boring. And that they PREFER thugs, scammers, drug dealers, and criminals…and their dating history proves that. Now the women that admit this are extreme cases but I believe most women exist closer to the middle. The idea that women start out dating good men and all of a sudden “incompatibilities just pop up” doesn’t make sense considering a lot of these women end up dating the same types of guys again and again and again. Yes I would say the majority of men are motivated to suffer through pain, boredom, and mindless soul sucking existences to be able to one day make a life for a woman and their kids. That’s most likely why divorce hits men so hard and suicide is highest amongst divorced men. Because they quite literally have nothing to live for once their family has been taken. They certainly aren’t motivated to keep going for some shitty corporate asshole company that couldn’t give 2 shits about them.

Ok have I stated or endorsed any of those extremes? And if men were serious about actually violently uprising against women and not just blowing off steam on the internet, that would have happened by now. See there in lies the problem and hence the reason why spaces like these exist. The conflicting messaging men are receiving. Men have been told by women that what they want is a man who’s better at communicating, who is more emotionally intelligent and expressive. They want a man who doesn’t bottle his feelings up and can ask for help if he needs it. Then what happens when men show their emotions (except not how women imagine them to be) they get the ick and go fuck a chad, and then complain abo…

You’re only considering the extreme on the option with the lack of passion…Now granted this is a completely unrealistic hypothetical and I don’t believe a woman can love you without respecting you, or have deep respect and appreciation for you without feeling a deep emotional connection…but which do you think is more Likely? A woman in a relationship with you for years who watches you endure her disrespect and abuse for years, eventually loves you MORE passionately for putting up with her abuse,…
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/25 05:50 PM
1

Fair enough, I just tend to think from experience that a relationship where there is respect and appreciation, is much better and healthier longterm than one with passion. Emotions can be fleeting, strong bonds aren’t built on tumultuous temperamental emotions. Strong bonds are built on intention and deliberate action over time.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/25 05:32 PM
1

Right so you would prefer an abusive relationship where your partner disrespects you often and you assume she loves you?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/25 05:28 PM
1

Well the example was “loves you deeply with passion and strong emotional connection” which implies much more than a bitchy date. This is an intimate relationship. And disrespect in the context of an intimate relationship is often much more biting and hurtful than some cute edgy new girl with an attitude you’ve got the hots for and really don’t care that much about yet.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/25 05:26 PM
1

Yeah well that interpretation of the example is not the polar extreme of the other. “A few insensitive comments” is fairly mild in comparison. I think to properly answer the question you need to consider the extreme of BOTH examples.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/25 05:23 PM
3

If someone loves you deeply but can’t figure out how to stop disrespecting and hurting you why would you stay? Either they DON’T care enough about you to figure out how to stop hurting you, or they’re too damaged to fix themselves. Also the longterm effects of staying in a relationship where you are constantly being disrespected, is that your partner may come to see you as a spineless doormat, and no one can sustain passion long term for someone they see as weak and spineless.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/25 05:16 PM
2

How do you know she loves you then? If she’s always hurting you? And how is that NOT an abusive relationship?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/25 05:06 PM
1

Terrible choice really, but I would rather have respect than love. There’s no point in knowing (or believing) that someone loves you if they’re always disrespecting you and making you feel disrespected. If someone is incapable of treating you how you deserve to be treated, how they FEEL inside is irrelevant.

This post reads as a sort of refutation of Red Pill talking points, when in fact you are recapitulating Red Pill talking points. are you telling me you didn’t notice the women in your life constantly choosing the athletic guys or the bad boys All you’re doing here is paraphrasing the “look at what they DO, not what they say” concept which is straight out of the Red Pill handbook.

That’s the thing…there isn’t always a socially acceptable way for men to stand up for themselves (especially physically) against women, or often times even anything tangentially involving women or anything feminine.

This list is extra-ordinarily cherry picked. Men absolutely do NOT across the board support men. Men generally are committed to things like the group, the clan, the community, land, the kingdom, etc. There is far more class solidarity than solidarity generally amongst men. On top of that men will turn on the next man on a DIME if a woman is involved. There’s tons of videos from across the globe (different cultures different countries) where a woman slaps a man, and no one reacts, then the man sl…

Risking your life for some trouble that someone quite possibly has gotten themSELF into goes waaaay beyond “being a good person”. People that can so easily devalue the amount of risk and …

I already did expand. Rights are granted in writing by constitution, bill of rights and legal systems and enforced by various types of officers. I don’t care how you feel about me but you will respect my rights. The protection that women expect from men is part of a social contract. It is NOT a free gift that women receive just because. Part of what men expect in return is respect and appreciation. Are modern men treated with respect or are they treated as inadequate, potential predators, creeps…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/25 10:10 PM

Bullshit comparison…and you probably don’t even notice how entitled it sounds. You’re comparing me NOT wanting to risk my life to defend a random woman with a stank attitude, to people trying to actually REMOVE rights that everyone should be entitled to. Rights that people JUST recently received… A man risking his life to defend you on the street is NOT a right it’s a privilege maybe you seem to have forgotten that.

I disagree with the classification of all women’s experiences as “oppressed”. Oppression implies the juxtaposition against the male experience. And at any given time in history men and women were simultaneously all enduring suffering. During the white feather campaign in WWI when women gave white feathers to men to shame them into joining the military, were women participating in the “oppression” of men? A lot of men endured a lot of trauma and suffering fighting against the central powers? No..…

I agree, it’s anti ALL people who are perceived as rebelling against patriarchy. IMO some of the more homophobic/anti-queer/anti non-confirming male sentiments in patriarchy (which are normally interpreted as misogynistic in nature by women/feminists) are actually attempts to police non-conforming MALE behavior. In short is not that femininity and by extension women are not valued. It’s that femininity in MEN renders MEN useless. So again it’s a way that feminism reframes the experiences of men …
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/25 08:01 PM

I think the “men built civilization” argument is mainly used as a reply to the often used claim of men’s historical role as “oppressor of women”. I also see women use the historical oppression of women to justify any number of toxic beliefs directed at men as well as all forms of Misandry.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/25 07:43 PM

That’s STILL an unfair comparison. While most if not all men HAVE been necessary for the building and maintaining of civilization, most certainly all men have NOT oppressed and or raped women. The problem as I see it is not even than women are holding men accountable for what men did in the past. The problem is that women are misinterpreting the intentions behind the actions of men of the past, and holding men to account for their misinterpretation of men’s actions, rather than a more charitable…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/25 07:40 PM

I think a big part of the problem also is that white feminists are loathe to admit any benefits they extract from patriarchy. And I’m specifically citing white feminists, because even though in my case black women/feminists have adopted a similar posture against black men (even though we have had no structural power or authority in modern western societies) they got those ideas from white feminism. But anyway, by framing themselves purely as victims of patriarchy (and NOT its co-beneficiaries), …

So why not be more focused on whether or not the parents are a good quality instead of quantity? I think the assumption that, if someone is planning on single parenting because THEY prefer it, not considering what the child wants/needs, then they are planning a less than optimal quality of life for their child, is a safe default assumption to make. The larger your village the better the outcome for the child. And both male and female parents are essential to raising healthy children.

I think your interpretation is incredibly off, inaccurate, misandrist, and lacking in context. For instance saying men are “pushy with sex and often violate boundaries” is simply a consequence of WOMEN’S preference for men to initiate. And a “boundary” is a highly subject thing. That’s not true, not every compliment is the beginning of a courtship ritual. But every compliment is potentially a demonstration of a woman’s “social value”. I think most people just want the connection to another person Agreed, now the only reason why The Red Pill Exists is because men have been running up against a brick wall with standard Blue Pill thinking. I personally am of the mind that it’s always better to walk down a treacherous path with both eyes open than with a blindfold on. So telling men “the Red Pill won’t help you” is basically telling men “Nothing will help you”, which might be true.

…People don’t switch teams because the sex is bad. If my wife leaves me for a woman, then obviously she’s been wrestling with her entire identity and it isn’t really me that’s the problem but it her own internal struggle with her sexuality that she’s battling with. Thats not nearly as humiliating as her leaving for another man. Yeah I disagree with almost everything in your post. I would disagree with this, for several reasons. As difficult as it is for women to have orgasms apparently, it’s even WORSE for random hookups, so the “basic physical need” is NOT a guarantee. Also from what In hear from women, sex is not as important for women as it is for most men outside of an intimate relationship. It’s equivalent to what the friend-zone feels like for men. A woman getting used for sex but not getting the intimacy she so desires, feels comparable to a guy getting used for a…

Not even these caricaturized RPers really care about girls “having fun” unless that fun includes promiscuity. Of course that WAS your intended assumption otherwise you wouldn’t have mentioned the RP preference for “young chaste women”.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 09:53 AM
1

I think most of the problem is that the modern RP appeals to mostly younger men. And younger men are hopped up on testosterone and in the throes of puberty and mostly care about sex and female validation. The majority of the “true RP” message is going to be lost on them and will become basically PUA strategies, not because THATS what the Red Pill is, but because THAT’s where those men are in life.

You keep saying “women do not need” and “do not require”. I’m not talking about a need, I’m talking about a feeling. And I have a hard time believing that here in America most women simply don’t mind paying on dates. I will agree that women tend to want someone who is comparable in terms of success to them. Comparable but preferably ahead of them, typically not less than them. Which is still distinct from men who generally don’t care if a woman is less than them in terms of success
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/25 01:47 AM

I disagree, most women who become successful don’t simply abandon their hypergamy because they don’t “need” it. That’s why there is still such a visceral reaction to women paying on dates and or going Dutch.

Laying charges or talking about them are completely different things, with completely different consequences. Talking about someone serves NO protective value to the woman, and generally only serves to damage the reputation of the guy, and comes across as vindictive And let’s not pretend that every-time a woman gets out of a toxic relationship with an “abusive narcissist” that it is completely his fault and that women don’t also have mal-adapted relationship behaviors, and do things to be puniti…

Two things can be true at the same time. Abusers are assholes and monsters, women (and people in general) should choose better. Or instead act as if the WORLD should change so that they can be safe. Yeah in your little thesis you didn’t specify if the women are ACTUALLY having orgasms or if they’re faking it. Her being in an abusive relationship is one thing, her breaking into tears whenever she suspects I might be mad is different. I think this is largely true and it’s a fact that NOT just men will deny, but women too because sometimes women like to deny their own agency. Anyone who’s ever been to a club or bar and stepped through the door only to IMMEDIATELY notice several women strategically placed throughout, lock eyes with you as soon as you step in view, can attest to the intensity of the female hunt. Even then, in my experience when the thing you REALLY WANT is a relationship, it’s least likely to come. The energy you put out is desperation which turns women off. Its in your best interests to come to peace with NOT having a relationship (even though you want one). Once you get to a place where you don’t REALLY care, or at least you have things that occupy your mind, and/or things that bring you contentment (if not happiness) then women will see you as more attractive.

Not really, your mindset coming into a relationship often will decide what you take from it. Your take is also less accurate and more dispossessing. A woman isn’t just a thing that you “take your turn on”. A woman is an individual that makes choices. Understanding this places agency in your own hands. If you can find the right woman and get her to choose you, you have a better chance of securing her loyalty. On the other hand your frame of reference, will block you from certain types of experiences which will only serve to confirm your own biases.

This is why “she’s not yours, it’s just your turn” is something that men really need to internalize. That’s actually not the same sentiment. Love being transactional or conditional does not necessarily imply a lack of loyalty. It simply implies that a bond is built on reciprocal acts of service and or support.

People will say that they believe god exists, but they have no, or terrible reasons for that belief. Also evidence against that belief will actually make them believe more, not less. So the b…

/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/24 10:31 AM

This is a logic brain idea. Sure logically a woman should be able to submit to a paternity test if she has not been cheating. But relationships are founded on trust. And asking a woman for a paternity test is basically like saying “hey you know that thing that’s the most important thing in BOTH of our lives, the baby? Yeah I don’t trust you and thing you’re lying to me about him. Can you please prove to me that you are NOT a liar and a horrible person?” That kinda does some pretty severe damage …
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/24 10:19 AM

…yeah that doesn’t work. You can’t be a “real friend” when you are concealing unrequited affections. And you don’t act like a “real friend”. The nature of your feelings is such that you act more like a “super-friend”.

In my experience (and let me tell you I’ve spent plenty of time in the “friendzone” 🤣, and also having various amounts of dating success) it’s important to establish romantic intentions early on. Do I think a woman should marry a man that she is uncomfortable being touched by? No… People don’t do things (like touching) in a relationship because they feel “entitled” to do so, they do it because they EXPECT that that is what the other person either wants or is ok with.

/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/24 01:17 AM

This is a prime example imo of the misuse of the concept of “entitlement”. Often times women speak in terms of “entitlement” when men are thinking in terms of expectation. If a woman CONSENTS to marriage with a man, CONSENTS to co-habitation with a man, CONSENTS to sex with a man, CONSENTS to a long term commitment with a man, the minimum he EXPECTS is that she is fine with him touching her, unless some thing is going on which is a break from the NORM.

RUIN?! 🙄 is the proposal “RUINED” because it wasn’t in the right place? Is the point of the relationship the “perfect proposal”? Or a lifelong commitment with a man that treats you well. And “treating you well” does not mean catering to your every whim. It means providing for you what you NEED.

If a woman declines marriage with a man because it’s “in the wrong place” she doesn’t love the man, she loves the idea of marriage, the wedding, and the proposal.

I think WHERE you want to be proposed to is a ridiculous detail irrelevant detail in the long run. If you’re so wrapped up in romanticism that the man you love and want to spend your life with asks you to marry him and because it’s in the “wrong place” you say no? Your relationship is doomed to fail anyway. Putting someone under the pressure to maintain the “perfect whatever” for a lifelong commitment is simply unreasonable.

I didn’t say it’s supposed to a safe space for women. Unfortunately men’s feelings and experiences don’t always come out in an “easily digestible for women” way. But it’s collisions with empathetic people with better ideas, or better conclusions that’s going to help men, not adversarial women with a bone to pick who wouldn’t give them the time of day in the real world but will chase them down to the depths of the internet to shame and berate them. That’s NOT helping.

Here’s why I don’t believe your goal is ultimately respectable. The only reason a place like this forum exists is because it has become wholly impossible to have these types of attempted honest conversations in ANY public forum without hordes of women, feminists, and male white knights descending upon men making these complaints with the full force of “social judgment”. Any man who even appears to have any issue with anything involving women is called a misogynist and whatever popular shaming te…

But the key is as long as you’re both in the journey together you don’t care how things get done. A lot of women are so used to being “independent” they don’t trust anyone but themselves to get things done. Not being able to let that go can hurt a relationship over the long term

They’ve done experiments on video where a man is being ruff with a woman, fussing with her slapping her even and people (men and women) will step in to defend the woman, they do the opposite where the woman is shoving and hitting the man, fussing with him and people don’t do anything, many just pass by and laugh at him. People have an innate bias to ignore or downplay women as a threat and to over perceive male threats.

What? If Trump’s numbers were up in all demographics, that includes black men. So the black men that were going to vote for Harris anyway got a condescending finger wagging. The black men that were voting for Trump just weren’t listening. The black men that were on the fence, likely felt disrespected and decided to vote for the couch. Democrat turnout was down from 2020 by about 5-7 million. Who knows who sat out, those votes could have made a difference.

Sounds like you’re conflating a lot of things, most right leaning men are proponents of marriage and family, don’t believe in abortion, and would support taking care of children: There ARE men (not necessarily right leaning) who believe that just because a woman is pregnant that doesn’t mean that the woman should have/keep the baby. I don’t know what to tell you, we come from different cultures, different countries. It could also be the culture within the discipline. I do notice that 70s and 80s western style karate/kickboxing and western boxing may not have the same culture of humility as say modern Muay Thai, or BJJ. That could be a factor 🤷🏿‍♂️
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/24 12:26 AM

Well even in the example you cited with the guy you knew that reveled in fighting. He was STILL more disciplined and less violent than the guys starting fights. In a culture where violence is fairly normal, the guys starting fights are necessarily more violent than the guys who WON’T start fights but WILL finish them. Guys who train are more likely to be disciplined, confident and more secure, and so less likely to start fights.

You’re not confrontational, and in Muay Thai there isn’t the western culture of violent career criminals doing Thai boxing. Kick boxing in the west has more of a reputation for that. Not necessarily, in poor black communities hyper-masculinity is often an over compensation for the LACK of a real patriarchal structure. A real patriarchal structure implies the successful ability to earn and manipulate capital (provide), and the ability to exercise some ownership and control of one’s environment (protection). Women also have the option (in most states) to abandon the child with NO financial penalty, by giving it up to a healthcare professional or emergency/first responder (police station/fire station) within 60 days. I mean you’re not entirely wrong, at THIS moment there are more people willing to criticize women and less consequences, except for the most toxic people on most platforms. But that’s not because there were NEVER any consequences. It’s because people are moving away from leftist and/or what’s considered “woke” ideologies. And even more women in the space lately are starting to speak out which takes a bit of the sting from the claims of misogyny. So I don’t know if that proves the point you were …

Out of the 6 examples you’ve cited, (I don’t know all of them well) but at least 2 (asmongold being one, and I think I saw Ryan Kinel on a video with a list of critics) I’m sure have been called racist and/or misogynistic. One is Ryan George who’s “criticism” is SUPER soft ball at worst, one is a black woman (who are virtually immune to criticism), and one is an Indian man. People of color (except for black men) rarely come under much scrutiny from those hunting for misogyny.

People get “labeled” incels for any number of things. That doesn’t change the fact that an incel is a man that is unable to secure a romantic partner. People throw around the term “incel” for any number of undesirable behaviors they intend to shame. Just the other day I heard a stat that blamed incels for high rates of IPV in heterosexual relationships…now how exactly does THAT make any sense. If an incel is IN a relationship he’s NOT an incel…🤔

I didn’t say obese and unattractive women are getting as much attention as attractive women, but they ARE getting disproportionate amounts of attention. They are NOT being ignored the way average men are.

Not only are they getting attention, dates, and sex, they’re getting married. Have a female friend who is 6’0 has to be about 350-400lbs, she’s been with a guy for a LOOOONG time. They have 2 kids together. My wife is 5’4 240lbs.

Yeah not true at all. Haven’t they done surveys that disprove this? Women rate like 80% of men as unattractive or below average. Yet you consistently see average or below average women, even unattractive and obese women getting disproportionate amounts of attention from men. What I HAVE seen is women who are below average in terms of attractiveness AND who are poor at sexual signaling (frumpy appearance, poor posture, unappealing dress, unkempt appearance, no makeup, etc) being ignored by men (s…

Most abortions are ritualistic killings of children to please a supernatural deity?! What an asinine and utterly unjustifiable statement… According to the CDC only 6% of abortions occur at or after the 15 week mark. There’s a debate on whether a pre 15 week old fetus is even physically developed enough to be considered a ”person” and by proxy a “child”. A pre 15 week old fetus imo, is not an “unborn child” but an undeveloped person, meaning it has not YET acquired what we consider “personhood” a…

Starting to learn the truth after living a lie can cause resentment, but that’s NOT the foundation of Red Pill “ideology”. The goal is not to stay in the resentment phase but to transition past it with a new plan and new knowledge. (Your argument is debunked some more)

This why these types of hypotheticals don’t work, you can’t just change one variable and expect everything else to be the same, if men had babies they wouldn’t ALSO get conscripted into the military.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/24 04:30 PM
3

The male Pro-Life position stems from traditional expectations, but also is enormously impacted by the fact that men are not subjected to the physical consequences of those expectations. The moment men have to get pregnant, carry the child to term, and birth the baby their entire opinions will change. I would put money on it that majority of men would sound like conservatives protecting their gun rights. Men would NOT like the government telling THEM what they could do with their bodies.

…If men could get pregnant then men would be the women and everything would be the same…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/24 03:52 PM

The “Men don’t care about women’s degrees/job/income” line is referenced not because it’s not a consideration at all, it’s because women generally reference these things as to why men should find THEM attractive. this has NO bearing on how attractive a woman looks to a man. If a man is thinking of a marriage as a purely tactical matter they WOULD consider a woman’s education/career a benefit, but they usually aren’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/24 10:15 AM

It’s really not that difficult to understand, and not at all contradictory. If a man is starving is he going to turn away food because it’s not prepared perfectly to his liking? No. It’s the same with men and sex. There is a difference between preference, and your lowest possible standard. Studies have shown that specifically surrounding sex men have a much higher disgust threshold than women. So yes while men may not find fat women to be all that attractive, they will fuck them from time to tim…

/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 07:24 PM
1

Your claim is that their actions prove they DONT resent/hate these women. Now it DOESN’T matter that they resent them? Well most men’s view on marriage/love is not simply about romanticism. A man may feel duty, or indebted to his wife but still resent her for other reasons, while going to work everyday because her presence or “taking care of family“ gives him purpose.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 06:06 PM

They resent the OF model because they WANT a real relationship, and have to resort to paying some girl who they KNOW couldn’t ACTUALLY respect and love them to pretend that she cares about them so that they can get their fix.

Well no, men don’t just have physical needs. Part of the appeal of OF is the simulated personal relationship. But the men understand it’s not real. That’s why there’s such a rush of resentment when the immersion is suddenly broken.

Ok well I have another example I just thought up that may demonstrate my point of there being no direct link between actual attractiveness level and anxiety/confidence. It’s possible that a person can be attractive but be convinced they are ugly and can develop a negative mind state based on the belief that they are ugly. They then carry this belief and the corresponding low confidence/low self esteem into social situations. There are also people who are average or ugly, even deformed, who have …

Yes but the “rolling out the red carpet” is just women being OPEN to the attractive guy. Women will still expect the attractive guy to lead, to progress the social interactions, and close the deal.

It all depends on WHY you have a goal. If your focus on say going to the gym is to attract women, the YES that will likely only make you resentful as you will feel that you are having to put in extra work JUST to attract a woman, or to heal some other social ill. This is a typical grass is greener perception, situation. Anxiety is not necessarily a rational response to experiences which is why I really think there is NO relation between attractiveness and anxiety. I think that is an outsider’s perception. I’ve been an attractive guy for 41 years. I would know. The next response when I say this is usually “well then you’re probably not as attractive as you think you are” which is also false.

Handsome and awkward CAN be cute, but you still need to be able to progress the interaction and close the deal. Being attractive gets you more opportunities, but it’s not a free pass to the finish line. You still need to put in work.

I don’t think there is a relation between attractiveness and social anxiety. Or at least there are more than one way to develop social anxiety. Relax bro who’s “offended” My point is not “guys don’t pay attention, don’t be intuitive, don’t even try” My point is if it’s THAT hard for him to figure out how to please her, there just might be poor sexual chemistry between the two, she might not be attracted to him enough. I mean there is the possibility that he is just horribly awkward and/or uncoordinated, and missing every hint, but then again how would that guy have convinced a woman to sleep with him anyway?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/24 04:35 PM
3

I’m assuming “written instructions” is an exaggeration, but she shouldn’t have a problem guiding him with her words if necessary? Again expecting a man to be able to notice all of your subtleties while fighting with his own body can get a bit hectic at times. Or she can just get on top and do the work herself, stop expecting him to “please her” all the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/24 03:15 PM
-1

So a man is required to be a mind reader and “figure out” every woman? I mean isn’t a woman’s pleasure in part her own personal issue? I mean I don’t have an EXTENSIVE sexual history, but I have basically the same set of moves and I’ve never really had a problem making a woman orgasm (except for a couple premature situations of course 😬) If a man is having to work that hard to get her off maybe she’s just not that into him? Or maybe she has some other unresolved issues surrounding sex.

/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/24 02:48 PM

Well then it would stop being religion and start being a fact of reality. Part of the religious process involves faith, believing without evidence (sometimes believing in-spite of evidence to the contrary) but that’s for a different discussion thread.

Not talking about “a relationship”, You’re talking about a marriage. A marriage with built in barriers (literally) to prevent intimacy and closeness is a marriage destined for failure. You can’t want a relationship but not want closeness. Thats asking for all the benefit and none of the risk. And the other (usually female) person who also desires closeness and intimacy is continually unfulfilled.

I disagree with the idea that everything passed into law has to benefit some institution financially. But if capitalism gotta capitalism, some company could manufacture the tests and distribute them to hospitals and make a fortune. Besides I think men should proceed with discretion AND have the benefit of mandatory paternity testing as paternity fraud is a uniquely male issue. I think if enough men got behind it and voted for it the system would find a way to make it work.

Hold on so a mother can give a child up to the state without the father’s consent, but a dad getting a paternity test without asking mom is a problem?

No one should have to ask for a paternity test. It should be mandatory. That way there’s no implied lack of trust, no need to hurt anyone’s feelings by asking, and also it protects men who wouldn’t think to ask who are potential victims of paternity fraud. Making the test mandatory, makes it simply hospital policy. I have yet to see/hear a reasonable objection to mandatory paternity testing. What I HAVE heard is people trying to focus the conversation on ASKING for paternity tests which comes wi…

Sometimes they do sometimes they don’t. But they definitely have all the power when it comes to having and keeping the child.

The way the courts are biased marriage is MORE about security for the woman than the man.

We are in partial agreement. Only when both parties fully agree to bring a child into the situation do I believe a woman is entitled to some type of “equality from the child’s father” as you put it.

Sure, but that’s a very different answer than “because love and commitment”. You’re the first one that brought up children.

I understand.

Marriage is an old ritual, but it historically has NOT been about love, especially romantic notions of love as we modern folk understand them. Marriage has been more about tribal connections and tribal responsibility than it has been about “love”.

Yes. Recognized by the law! A legally enforceable contract. You realize in this situation it’s not the man and his commitment that creates security/stability but the legal infrastructure in place that would force him to honor the contract if he had a change of heart?

I know why it’s important, but some people will refuse to admit WHY it is so important to them and it’s NOT because it’s a sign of commitment.

That’s not what I asked. I can only assume that your refusal to answer the question means that the answer makes you sound bad.

I understand that line of thinking but I’m trying to get you to communicate what about marriage signifies that commitment. Is it really impossible to commit to someone without marriage?

They are ALSO fidelity checks but primarily used for proof of parentage.

But why is marriage important? Is marriage the goal or is love the goal? You can have love without marriage, you can have marriage without love, which would you prefer?

Having a relationship where BOTH feel comfortable checking each other’s devices IS trust, setting a condition in which “if I do this DNA test, I get to check your devices” is NOT… I didn’t actually mention fidelity. I mentioned knowledge of parentage and the implied responsibility, but if you don’t want to address my actual arguments that’s fine… I am pro choice…actually. But the “my body my choice” crowd can expect men to stay out of women’s reproductive health issues when women decide to stay …

The reason why the “solution” proposed by this post is a bad one is that the goal in a relationship should not be to set up regular checkpoints where both have to verify fidelity. That implies a general current of distrust that is completely catastrophic to a relationship. Both men and women should have no issue going through each other’s devices, and both should be able to trust that the other is not being abusive with the child. But mandatory paternity testing at birth (as I believe it should …

That’s why paternity testing at birth should be mandatory. Removes the accusation and just becomes hospital policy.

What a ridiculous post…So the father who DNA tested all three of his sons and came back with negative tests results for all of them should be thinking “chimerism, must be chimerism”? That’s a delusional man desperately trying to hold together a dead relationship. With the amount of infidelity, general lack of respect for marriage, and personal feel good-erism modern culture promotes its much more likely that cheating is the cause for most people in this situation.

Well while you’re hacking the system, beware of the consequences you leave in your wake. Depending on how you conduct yourself, you will inevitably be the “narcissist” that causes her trauma that she will have to dump on every successive romantic potential.

Shoes and dresses are inanimate objects that can be acquired. Sex is an act between two consenting adults often with their own separate plans, desires, motivations, wishes, etc do you see the difference? It’s not like going to aisle 6 at the grocery store and picking up 2 boxes of sex. It’s a negotiation between 2 individuals which usually implies some sort of relationship, either temporary or long term. Do you get it?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
