You will want to get a lawyer involved. If she moves about, it sounds like marriage abandonment, but only a lawyer can confirm this. So you didn't get a talk but a text. Dont let her little petty tricks set you off. She is going to try to hurt you emotionally and mentally. Seek mental help, find a stranger to talk to if needed. Get out of the house. Go for walks. Even if it is only 1 day a week. Too much screen time is not good.

My STBXW hit me with the separation talk not too long ago. I am not going to lie. My world imploded that day. I had a few weeks of self loathing. After the shock wore off, I started to do things for myself and my kids. I started doing things away from the house as we are still under the same roof. I handed her the legal separation papers which she still has not signed. I make it a point to go out every Saturday and she knows I do this. She wont speak to me a for a few days. She started the ball …

She made her mind up long ago. It is just sudden to you. I thought the same thing. All the reasons I got started with "you did". Only once did I hear her say "I". That was the I don't want to be married any more. You will probably never get a truthful answer. Stay healthy. Take care of yourself. DM me if you need to talk.

I am currently going through separation. It was like I woke up one day and the STBXW threw a switch and told me that she does not want to be married anymore. This was over a month ago. I have not tired to reconcile with her. I am being civil with her when we do talk. I have started therapy which helps some. The best thing I have done for myself is to take up darts. I was an avid player many, many, many years ago. I am meeting new people and have a good time. It is only once a week but I really l…

One step at a time. Knowing why helps. At least it helped me.

My goal was to try to understand why. It all came down to money. She now makes almost 3x what i do. In essence, she used me.

These are great ideas for starting Self Care. I am in the beginning stages of the separation and I have made a list of the things I used to do for fun. I plan to start doing these again. just don't know when. I am taking the first step today and will try to work the other items in as I progress on being myself again.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
