Like I said, it's a narrow definition. The world is still catching up, but in more sex positive spaces sex is punderstood to be more than PIV, and sex doesn't even require penetration. Much of our understanding of well, everything, comes from a traditional male understanding, with old ideas that are still slowly aging out.

We clearly need a better word because there is no nuance in sexual abuse. You seem to also have a very narrow definition of what sex is. It is the one act that has no justification or reason. You seem to be misunderstanding me. The current legal definition of rape covers the sex acts that could have been performed by the person in the article who raped the woman in the article.
