I think a lot of this comes down to social media. This guy had social media so there was a way to target him. I don't have social media. My online name is not tied to my real name at all. If someone tried accusing me of rape, the general public would not be able to target me. Social media is 100% toxic and pointless

Just because they didn't say one thing doesn't mean they did say another thing. They haven't said it's alt-history and they didn't say it's historically accurate. They did however say that they will choose fun over historical accuracy every time.

No it's not. BF3 and 4 were set in the near future (at the time of their release). BF1 is very historically inaccurate.
