Nah, check it out. Sorry I was starting to get crabby there. Here's the deal. I really do know who you think I am. I am a feminist and a bleeding heart liberal, right? I do believe rape culture exists, and that false-rape accusations are not nearly the epidemic problem reddit makes them out to be. But despite all that, I still remain completely neutral on the topic of who is guilty in this case. I don't really want either to win or lose, because that means either she was raped, or he was falsely…

How miserably predictable. I wondered if it was a mistake to include that tl;dr in case it prevented you from reading my wall of text. Here's the part you missed: I don't know whether a rape occurred or not. I'm not going to advocate for something I'm unsure of. I'm not interested in justifying her actions or statements. I can't imagine making it any clearer that I'm not making any excuses for her. You keep saying to me "she's lying," and I'm not saying she isn't. I'm saying I'm not convinced sh…

Yeah, I had a feeling it'd come to this, but I was hoping it wouldn't. Just because I don't want to have the ultimately depressing (for me) conversation with you about how some of these seemingly contradictory actions are consistent with proven factors like PTSD and administrative failures in handling reported rapes. Depressing for me because I know you're already primed to dismiss these factors out of hand. Also depressing because you've already arranged the scenario where any sin or error in h…

Take a step back and ask yourself: why is it so important to you that I agree that she must be lying about the rape? Because, if you want to check my comment history on the topic, starting from here, you might notice that I have never once argued in favor of her truthfulness. I've only argued that we don't know for sure what actually happened. So this isn't some sort of "your side vs my side," nothing is "inconvenient" for me, and I really don't know what my "ranks" are supposed to be, or why yo…

Haha, of course I read it all. We're talking about a legal proceeding here, and we have evidence and testimony supporting both sides. I'll wait until that one's decided instead of presuming guilt on either side. Fuck me, right?!

I'll be upset if it turns into it to be false, and if at some point I find myself conversing with her I will express that. But right now I'm conversing with you. I didn't think it was that hard to grasp.

Naturally. I forgot we can only be upset about one thing at a time.

whoa, hold up. you're saying false rape accusations are a bad thing? wow, bold position to take there.

LOL, yeah. I've known that it's disrespectful since the early 80s at least. Did you just get thawed out or something?

"That chick", huh? Thanks, Dr. Internet Stranger.

Well! There you have it then. I was wrong about you just as you were wrong about her.

Oh shit, you are a TRPer? I promise I didn't know that when I commented about TRPers earlier. I guess I kindof disproved my own point by accurately guessing about you based on little evidence.

You can't use conviction stats around here and expect to be taken seriously. Around here? Where your own paranoid delusions trump reality? You don't really believe enough homicides in the United States are going unprosecuted to actually affect this statistic, do you? If women were committing murders at the same rate as men, that would mean a whopping 44% of ALL homicides never end in conviction. And you think I can't be taken seriously?

Men committed 88.8% of all homicides from 1980 to 2008.

ITT: People who are more upset that this is getting less coverage than the Steubenville case. Not as many upvotes for comments about actually feeling sorry about the victim. Never let a good tragedy go to waste, MensRights.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
