Im sorry to hear that. Idk my grandpa was an alcoholic. A quiet one. He liked to be alone and you only went to him when things needed to be fixed or handled. He didn't talk much if he said something it was mostly important. To me that doesn't seem as bad as some baggage others have to carry it does have its downsides just like any other type of person.

Just take into consideration what she is saying.
