Don’t date someone you’re incompatible with. If you aren’t down for a girl like that just don’t entertain it. You’re free to have your boundaries as she is entitled to hers. There’s plenty of women who aren’t like that. Yes gen Z women. If you try to date a girl who’s likely already dressing that way and then you turn around and try to “tame” her or stop her from doing what she’s already doing. That’s on you, not misogynists but cringe and ineffective. Kind of skill issue.

Is there really a more valid answer haha “Wtf l am I suppose to do, give out pitty pssy??” Way more important things like bills and taxes me if I was a girl probably

Yes. Death grip, odd expectations and so on. There’s another thread here that speaks on how with porn it’s as if the man is seeing a woman that isn’t his partner but with smut there isn’t someone physically presenting usually , leaving the reader to use their imagination. I can’t say I really buy this one though ^ , would need more time to think over on this. But it fascinates me that I , a man who doesn’t watch porn because if I didn’t I would have a lot harder time getting it on with a woman t…

I don’t watch porn , haven’t in ages but I have a friend that makes a living creating digital porn animations. I was reading an email from this person and when she found out what this person did for a living she considered it a form of cheating etc. A lot of these arguments keep boiling down to trafficking and so on, but I’ve yet to see what applies when the people are fictional and 3d

Flings are short term relationships. Just a matter of where you draw the line on how short
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/25 06:56 AM

First impressions. There’s a level of grace that most people are receptive of. “Maybe we can see how things go and then go out” is different from “stranger danger, are you going to kill me? Maybe after you show me you aren’t a murderer first” Women aren’t a monolith. Some are naturally that way sure but there’s usually signs of interest. Just as I’d be iffy about taking some random woman I just met out. But I wouldn’t make it so immediately known to her that “hey I need to gauge if the return of…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 11:46 PM

I turn down hookup opportunities but wouldn’t entertain a woman that was iffy about me and did what those men described. It’s not mutually exclusive
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 11:36 PM

Throwing insults? 😂 Man post yourself and watch the difference between me and you. I’m turning down so many girls on the daily. Even still you dont need to sleep around to understand that hookups and non poly relationships are different.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/25 11:18 PM

The line between hookups and (open committed) relationships are not thin mate lol. Hookups require much less investment and are often more secretive. Unless you live in a very sexually liberal place you won’t even find people openly discussing hookups
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/25 11:14 PM
1

there’s many reasons but one overlooked reason You missed this line There’s men who invite women out frequently but it’s never really a planned date. Especially in some cultures like mine many men will invite girls to hangout and link with nothing substantial that many women actually want.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/25 11:13 PM

The sexual double standard applies for relationships, not simply hookups. Women can hookup with many guys who will drop their standards but many of those men won’t stick around and offer her anything resembling a relationship. Which doesn’t apply entirely the other way around. Hence the double standard I don’t really see how you’re missing this

Extremely false. Men just became quieter about. They will still vote with their actions. Notice how not as many men aren’t asking women out etc. sure there’s many reasons but one overlooked reason is that men are somewhat confused about evaluating if a some women have enough fidelity to not immediately jump to other guys. Men are way less inclined to offer to take out a woman that signals she’s with or has been with many men.

neither men or women care that much about promiscuity if the person is rich enough. There’s countless line of men who are turned off by rich onlyfans stars. Some might even play short term but very few of those men would willingly enter a relationship with her even if she made 100 million easy.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/25 09:02 PM

I encourage women to be turned off by it the same way men are, but in many cases I can turn to examples of that not being the case
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/25 09:00 PM

You’ve got to take some personal agency at some point. If the woman is not showing you mutual interest like her past partners or to the level you’re reasonably able to get. You have the power to walk away from the situation. Unless you somehow got stuck with her legally

I would say no. The only time I really get them is if I’m really messing with my partner. Like kinda toying / trolling her? And even then it’s not really all the way. Once in a while I’ll be fully down but yeah. No fault of her though.

I genuinely feel this is what’s happened to me. I don’t watch porn , I workout and I’m very in shape. Except even attracting very fine women I can’t seem to want sex that much. I’m even pretty good at oral based on how much I’ve been wanted back but I can not for the life of me be pressed about having sex. (In my experience this has led to a unique scenario where some women were throwing themselves at me thinking I was giving mixed signals when in reality I found them attractive but had no inten…

The amount of women i knew that would make the men they saw a future with wait made me super quick to auto reject just about every woman that showed interest in me. The thing isn’t that these men aren’t willing to ask, it’s that they don’t qualify for short term— they aren’t the hot types that aren’t worth not having a future with. I am the type of guy that pays for everything, offers lots of dates and actually dislikes casual relationships. (If I revealed this early on I would’ve automatically …

I’m convinced it’s similar to the reason men cry at weddings. The fantasy of a woman who’s going to ride out the storm with them
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/24 12:32 PM
13

I’m more convinced that for men the fantasy is the process of becoming the man who’s “worthy” Like they start off on the bottom of the hierarchy and then become the best of the best uncontested The woman is secondary or peripheral to that. Though there’s also the fantasy of finding that woman who was there for him since the beginning that also glew up with time and still had the hots for him

In my experience it’s usually just me embarrassing them, in the event they’ve tried to play me. But the ones with major red flags were sortof predictable. If anything they make me appreciate the genuinely amazing women out there. I have no complaints , as I can spot those types a mile away. With their back tattoos , chest piercings and iPads, working in the healthcare field. Dime a dozen really.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/24 07:19 PM

Relationships form When value is transacted though, I don’t really understood how that’s hard to grasp. Workplace, friendships, even romantic relationships all have things being given and received. Ofc when you throw in “love” and all of the extra bits it gets more complex but you don’t need to be in love to be in a relationship for example. But relationships fall apart when the things transacted become imbalances

I put enormous amounts of effort into my relationship but I can tell you the women I’ve met who I wouldn’t really put effort into all had similar things in common. -if they went back to a toxic ex, I wouldn’t put in effort -if they were surrounded by the “you can leave him” sisterhood, I wouldn’t invest -if she showed a clear distinction between her dating guys for short term and expecting me to be long term, I wouldn’t take her seriously Basically if she did anything I found promiscuous, assumi…

For me and only me. Though if I’m with a partner we will be complimentary to each other I care about my appearance and expression but not in a way that fishes for just any random woman. Idc about attracting people I probably won’t relate to. Also, I would say it wouldn’t matter for me either way since I tend to get approached more than I would approach regardless. I have turned women down for not liking my style and desiring me to be something I’m not
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/24 02:00 AM

Well I’d say it’s a no, because I’m not into most women and I don’t expect most women to be into me. If no woman wanted my style I wouldn’t care etc

Based on the replies in this thread I do extremely well with dating and I don’t even need money. Starting to imagine how much my attraction would improve with that income level. Truth be told it wouldn’t be the money, but rather where I am and the things I’d do that would carry me.

The left seems to have an idea of reality rooted in power. Like it’s some type of worldview that there are oppressors and victims and those who have what resembles power equals oppression that needs to be altered for some equitable outcome. The problem seems that they have to content with the fact that men have inherent differences and strengths but often times they equate these differences to negative things. The fact that things like beauty, strength, determination, competitiveness seems to al…

There are better women out there but this usually stems from many societies and their tendency to protect women to the point of infantilization The “she’s just a girl” kind of thing.

I have a number of women in my family who are misandrist actually. My older sister is a misandrist. She openly talks down about men who are just living their lives. I could go more in depth but I don’t really want to put too much of someone’s business out there Occasionally I’ll bring up a story about a time I worked at a Starbucks with a bunch of super left leaning misandrist + 2 trans people that would join in on the straight male hate. This would range from “men are incompetent and stupid” to…

This is a flawed principle to hold because where the line is drawn about what constitutes genuine misandry changes. You basically create this weird virtue spiral about who’s unhelpable. It also leads to a negative feedback loop. A good way to create more misandrist would be to deliberately go out of your way to exclude helping women on the possibility of them having views and actions that you can consider misandry. Potential misandrist will see this and have confirmation bias about why their mis…

Most of these topics never get anywhere because it fails to distinguish the different types of men that are open and available / looking. There’s guys who are confident and will easily approach the women who make themselves available, but to those men it’s literally just a social workout— they don’t even care enough to take the rejections personally. Then there’s men who are looking for something like the life-long partner but they tend to be less frequent in the amount of approaches, opting for…

For preface I’m only 23 so my age may reveal a bit. how I met my gf was kind of funny. I was posting in this dreadlocks sub when some guy stole pics of me and started trying to catfish as me. Some girl did a reverse image search and found me. She was also pretty fine herself but we had a few incompatibilities so it didn’t work out. Seems to be a question posed to gauge if his behavior is acceptable/ viable to ever be considered still attractive despite deviating from the gender role norms. I could imagine a lot of what you’ve described here could work for a certain type of person. But these people I would imagine would have various genetic and psychological adaptations that make them immune to the feelings of cuckholdry. Raising other people’s kin. I agree with a bulk of this though. I can’t particularly say traditional monogamy is working “as intended”. Going by what I’ve learned from a divorce attorney or two— seems humans are simply “monogamish” I do understand the alternatives were much worse overall. When it comes to people’s possessiveness of their emotional investments , and commitments, why people decide to commit to things - there’s a lot of problems to overcome. It’s a multifaceted issue. if this pressure isn’t fair you have a duty to fight against it. Should I also push women to desire men who are weak? Should I push women do desire men they wouldn’t normally be attracted to? Many men AND women (but more overtly men) are turned off by people who are frequently sleeping around short term in the context of long term relationships. Assuming there’s only going to be short term relationships, seems to not really matter. But it becomes a problem as people go looking for long term rela…

Regardless of your actions there’s consequences. They just affect men and women differently on average. Keyword on average. Men and women also enter relationships and maintain them in different ways. There’s varying incentive structures. That’s the difference that creates problems. Trust me when I say the men that jump from women to women will talk and know she’s an easy score. If you aren’t in that category of men you won’t ever see or experience it but it’s very real. Men talk to each other about who was easy to sleep with. Or if a woman seems like she jumps from guy to guy. Guys will sometimes warn the unknowing men trying to help them out. But this might be cultural. Where I’m from there’s always the known women who are notorious for sleeping around. Guys won’t be super specific about the numbers and details but they will know the general estimate based on how she treats men. No. I’m speaking from experience. I’ve turned down a number of hookups. I did it out of principle and because I was one considered very unattractive. Glowing up changed the way I see things. I have no desire to get back at some perceived wrong, and I only wanted to sleep with a woman I could see myself having kids with. Plot twist, I think I’m on my way to being a father atm with a woman who’s also similar to me in backstory.

Yes. I have a reason to continue living and an extra layer to be sure of my ambitions Though I wouldn’t want her to be entirely useless and dependent without me. Ideally she wouldn’t have to work etc, but she also wouldn’t be the type to take advantage of that, and strive to put her best foot forward and play a part in the journey we share. Feels weird commenting this knowing I’m in this exact relationship. I’m not saying this in theory, I’m speaking in practice.

Using the learned hand formula to decide if the burden of doing something is greater/equal/or less than the probability x the magnitude of harm (B>PL analysis) aka the calculus of negligence. I date women like this but most women wouldn’t really have what it takes to attract a man willing to do that. And if there’s other men she didn’t require that from she basically is throwing away one of her best leverage points. I would only be this way for women who had high standards for all men. I speak to women all the time about what they find creepy and unattractive but it’s usually in a way that doesn’t come off as overly judgement or like some kind of negotiation about what someone’s supposed to want. Sometimes there’s a social layer where people try to save face and not make themselves look mean etc.

You know people can be. Not overly confrontational and it tends to be seen as rude to outright point out why people aren’t attractive. On an extreme end you may even hear people who are anxious of a negative reaction but other than that I agree. Sometimes the best move is to not respond at all.

Try to think of it this way. If every woman suddenly required men to own homes to have sex. There would be a lot more home ownership. there’s no reason to logically vet men you don’t see a future with When you give those men sex, and make the other men have to work for a relationship for the possibility of sex etc. Men will respond by simply aspiring to become those men who are being given the most sex. That’s a dumb way of putting it but basically. Women reward a certain type of man, men become those types of men. Or the men who value relationships will not choose those women as a first priority if they have options

We? I think people tend to match up in relationships when both parties have comparable things to offer even if it’s unequal. Sounds transactional as hell but the beauty of it is that when it’s good that transaction is invisible. But anyways, when I’m the more desired one it makes spoiling her so much easier. That’s my current dynamic as well.

The balance of power in relationships yes. I think as a guy you have to be an attractive relationship option so you do not have to be subject to the whims of people who see you as less than

Those have been the only relationships that could last any for me where the investment didn’t lead to instant diminishing returns, I have tried to be open to being the pursuer but it seems without fail people like what they like. So I am very strong on the “choose people who choose you” sentiment

Well yes typically within but not everyone seems to play by those rules. You’ll find some people are not impressed or have unspoken no gos when it comes to different types of dates etc. Also depending on the culture there may be double standards where some men have to put in more effort than others. A lot of men in the specific community I’m in are actually very disillusioned by that actually. Example: I’m way less interested in offering to take women out on dates that are entertaining situation…

Basically with or without it won’t really do much to affect if a guy will be interested. Are you attractive and pleasant to be around, not likely to destroy the man’s life or come back with another man’s kids basically. Unless there’s occasionally some highly specific thing that may have a minimal impact on a very specific guy, and even that might not make or break anything. Having a college degree won’t be the make it or break it determinant that leads to a relationship or not usually. If you d…

I’ve been on 1st date, it was amazing— it ended up being like 4 dates in one day. But it isn’t from trying. I’ve offered maybe 3 dates in my life. The other 2 actually regret not taking me up on the offer though.

Deep South Bible Belt, high teen pregnancy, highest obesity etc. Any American statistic that’s negative. You can pretty much give it a 30% bonus basically. The same doesn’t exactly apply when you travel to other sides of the USA. It happens but it isn’t the majority. I could just say “the black community in the Deep South” but Reddit isn’t ready for that Pretty much all of the red pill complaints are decades old in that community.

Some but after college it becomes the default. At least all of the few crushes I did have are now twice their size now.

For the sake of demographics. This took place in Mississippi. The children are at about 41% between the ages of 10-17. A place with the highest obesity per capita fighting with Alabama. You will quickly see how rare non overweight women are there

Let’s do the math. The trope goes someone gaining 15lbs by freshmen year in a culture where over half of the women are overweight, add 3 more years on top that. It’s actual culture shock to many.

In your case if I knew you, and assuming we were attracted to one another. I would not start acting like some red pill rage fantasy. Context is key with a lot of these things. I would say those men tend to relate somewhat to feeling cast aside and then only acknowledged when they can finally be seeing as human doings to be used. This talk is way more common online though.

They are not trash for noticing my potential, hell if I was a woman I wouldn’t have wanted to put my eggs in my past self’s basket. The only one that I really might have a bit of resentment for is in girl #3 in those short stories I typed out. Because her friends straight up said “why would you even talk with him, he’s weird/ you can do better” There’s an interaction from me and her where I called it out. Don’t mind my corny response. It was way more satisfying in my head lmao <image>

Going based on the women that came back. There’s 3 that come to mind. There are more but nothing notable when it comes to interactions. I may have screenshots. One of the main reasons that would deter me from entertaining those women actually doesn’t have much to do with their looks, it has more to do with other men between when we spoke. I find more often than not they required less of the men in the past and come to me expecting more. I’ll give a few stories I have: -1: This girl knew me the m…

It is refreshing to see people able to articulate the issues at play. What you’re describing seems to be a pretty recurrent theme in the male experience. Even just yesterday I tried to share insights into why men , unlike most other groups of people are usually held with moral agency for their shortcomings , even if those shortcomings are out of their control. Even had to listen to this girl I almost dated give me an asinine response; Saying things like: -“those men are usually lonely for valid …

Widows are in a different category than single mothers. Single mothers tend to require less from men / at times have poorer judgement, and may retroactively make men she tries to settle for “pay more” than the baby daddy. But widows actually required the husband to invest and prove himself. Men will usually see this and respect that she was consistent in what she required of a man.

I would disagree with this. Some men do— they are the men that clearly aren’t interested in anything long term and are hot enough for the women to not care. It’s the men who look like they’d be relationship material that will be punished.

Truth be told it isn’t even about bodies as much as it’s about the type of bodies. Men who were respectable and had to put in a similar amount of effort don’t really have a knock against a woman compared to an ex felon who met her and had her in his backseat in an hour etc. There’s a girl at my job that attracts a lot of guys but all of the guys eventually abandon her once they realize she’s super friendly and entertains a lot of men. Where I’m from the assessment is pretty fair. Unless she’s very strong with her boundaries and holds you to a Fair standard and makes all men go through the same criteria , young guys will assume he’s the sucker and she’s been more into other guys. It’s more common than not depending on where you live. It’s certainly happened to me
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/24 08:37 PM

My only desire is to avoid the women engage with that way of being. If I’m her first I will go to the ends of the earth, but if previous guys had to do nothing to be with her and I find out, I will see it as a raw deal and move on.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/24 08:33 PM

The emotional needs not being met being grandfathered in. Captures my exact thoughts on my experience dating as a guy. I can not really hold that against women or anything though. I’m cool with it as long as people don’t use the rhetoric to coerce people into acting and accepting demands, boundary breaking things. “If you wont someone else will” ( feigning scarcity) type of deal. Levels to it.

Kind of sums up what led to the demise of what would’ve been a marriage for me. Overtime I grew to realize that everything I was sacrificing to be with her, was like a typical weekend for her and her rich family. As much as she admired my hard work and how far I came in my life so far, it left me with a void. I was never really into short term things but for reference, I wouldn’t willingly have been with her if the option was just short term at first. So after a bit I let her know, and we ended …

We agree on the point with religion. Skews the data. You were asking why does that matter if you’re know you’re the best dude I was answering how guys tend to know if they are being confident or if they are being delusional. If she’s been a side piece or a rotation for a bunch of movers and shakers, the guy is going to probably think it’s not worth competing, even if he’s “above her league”. Comparison is the thief of joy. With more people, there’s usually more to compare to. It isn’t like this isn’t already tracked for marriage satisfaction. Past a certain point when people have had too many partners , man or woman, it begins to hurt their future partners. If there’s one other previous partner. It’s 1/2. If there’s ten other , it’s 1/10. Even with All of the other variables such as one’s preferences, location, and so on - there’s still going to be that point of comparison. The firs…

You can gauge your odds. Being her second relationship is much different than being her 27th situationship. 50/50 shot you’re better or worse than the first guy. Dealing with the second option— you’re probably cooked.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 05:15 PM

Most guys would struggle because what makes a man attractive for short term mating is much more strict. You don’t just sleep with any mediocre guy with two legs and a third. That’s not even beginning to factor in social stigma and the chaos that follows from those behaviors.

Thanks for reminding me. There’s this one girl I know that has only ever had situationships with loser men but she wants to try to brag to her friends about me because I move with intentions. In my case I left a woman similar for dead bedroom reasons except she didn’t have a past, we were just mismatched in libido. Thank you for this comment. Can’t convince women to start churning out more wage slaves. This topic is relevant for the people trying to ban abortions. I.e. it’s not going to magically make women want to start popping out little soldiers for the cause.

Covert aggression is much more suited to our modern world of rules and legislation. If a man resorts to overt aggression in an HR situation, even if the woman initiated with covert aggression. He will be outgunned just about everytime. Zero tolerance policies etc. Similar scenarios play out in things like couples therapy. But to make things even more interesting, women also are punished harshly for displaying overt aggression.

My most recent relationship went that way. And for what it’s worth, I’d be lying if I said I’d want to do it again, even though it wasn’t a terrible relationship. I now find that unless I plan to have a family (very unlikely now) most relationships will have a degree of loss. And now it becomes a matter of deciding what is acceptable loss. We are no longer competing with others, men and women, but we are competing against singledom.

Governments and relationships/marriage laws do a pretty good job of decentivizing monogamy. I’m going to use an example that happens to men regarding the fact that relationships have adapted to taking a no-fault approach to things. Not all people are bad, but there isn’t much in the way of dropping a relationship and running off with the goods anymore.

I went to a pretty ghetto high school in a state with the highest or second highest teen pregnancy rate so my experience might be skewed from the average Reddit user. But you could see it in the way everyone was dressed at prom. (I showed him videos of what people were doing, how they were dancing)- he thought it that it was satirical/ said they were actors. I try my best to stay away from the manosphere echochambers like fresh and fit etc. but I get what you’re referring to. When you phrase it this way, it actually seems very likely. The pool of men who will come after the current declining male population will have some of the ideas carried over. Even to the most attractive ones.

I remembered bringing that up and people were completely shocked that when intimate partner violence is one sided. It was overwhelmingly women imitating violence. This isn’t to say “whamen bad” or any mess like that , but just how unlikely some guys are to report or seek help. Even me in one case. My first gf tried hitting me a few times , but I had little guidance in dealing with that. Lack of support perhaps?
