There’s a story I read back in high school English class about a really famous female poet back in the day in England who ran off with the wife of a judge. He had a hand in the wording of the “anti-gay” laws. But he couldn’t do a damn thing because being a lesbian wasn’t illegal...partly because of him! He just had to deal with the poet writing love poems about his wife and everyone knowing about it. I really wish I could remember the names, but damn it was wild.

Depending on the country and how the laws are worded, possibly not. Just how in countries where until the last few decades it was illegal to be gay, it wasn't ever illegal to be a lesbian, because those who wrote the laws believed sex was only 'real' sex if at least one penis was involved.

It seemed like he was trying to get her out of the firing line for another hit rather than actively wanting to hurt her. Still shitty though, when I was at school even if you were a dick to teachers verbally for no reason other kids had their back. And if it was a teacher people loved? You getting yo ass beat.

I think it was more that it was deemed The Sun had enough info at the time that they could reasonably point the finger at him and call him a 'wife beater'. It's not the same as saying he was definitely the abuser, just that the court ruled they didn't say it 'just because', and there was some plausibility to it all. It's fucked up. Both The Sun and Heard a monumental pieces of trash and deserve each other. Nobody in their right mind would want support from that rag.

I hadn’t heard about that, that’s hilarious! Not a pretty good plan if it could be debunked so easily...I would she say she should fire her PR, but hey they deserve each other. Just last weekend Heard apparently attended a party thrown in her honour and to support her. It’s fucking disgusting. Could you imagine all the people who would be frothing at the mouth if someone held a gathering in support of Depp and he attended? Women who lie about any kind of assault are the lowest of the low. They should receive whatever sentence the person they were accusing would have gotten if convicted.
