So 7% for the other interview set? I'd like to see the same thing run with men to see what the answers are.

The study itself was a comparison between F2F interviews and computer assisted self-interviews. Has anyone looked at the body of the study to determine the differences between the title statistic when measured F2F and by the computer method?

I'm of the impression that sugar baby websites are much more highly trafficked, and are probably on net much more damaging to the traditional relationship model, than onlyfans. I'd like to see some traffic and user comparison statistics on that. The other thing that we'll likely see that will crater onlyfans, is an influx of third world onlyfans accounts. If an American white woman can make $20k at it in a year, that's not much. If a Filipino lady in Manila can make the same, she can buy a house…

Well that's my problem. If I can get them on the date, and the date turns out to not be a woman who was lying on her profile, I can close the deal really well. As mentioned, I'm a good looking dude who speaks well. The problem is the wall itself. Landing that date. "Hey let's have drinks" "Ok let me check with my babysitters" <<RESOUNDING SILENCE>> lol It's really pretty funny. This is great analysis. Thanks. Now the question arises .. where's a good place to target that demographic? edit: Although it would be hilarious to just stick "seeking girls with daddy issues" in a Tinder profile.

Daddy issues comment has a point, although I would target the upper-20s lower-30 range, simply because they've most likely ridden the cock carousel already and are approaching the wall - desperate. I'd love to target that range, but seriously, this ceiling is working just like The Wall but more egregious. You want her to know that you have options but choosing to pursue her because of time (not overtly of course). Yep. Noted.

Kids obviously come first. Not interested in remarrying - that would probably make my life much worse. I like being a single dad. Looking for a girlfriend, basically. And my situation is a tremendous outlier, I get that. It's a goofy one, though, and I'm fishing for advice for how to navigate it. I thought I could figure it out on my own, but I'm up against an analysis wall.

I suppose my biggest criticism with your reasoning is the base assumption that individualism is the answer to structural and systemic inequality. I don't think I said that. I think there are certain systemic inequalities, which can be addressed individually on a case by case basis, such as what we see in the criminal justice system. There are definite inequalities inherent to our system which appear on the surface to be about race, but are in fact mostly tied to the heritability of wealth, which…

The standard Social Justice response to this (which I see below in the comments, actually) is going to be something of the form of the following: "Yes but men have privilege and black people don't, therefore it's okay to treat men differently than black people." Which goes back to how Social Justice has redefined prejudice itself in such a way that they get to weaponize it while others don't. This is a pretty good primer on how that works. You can't even have these conversations with Social Just…

"Consent policies" on campuses are also very different than a court of law. Some might contend that anything qualifying as "rape" should be something that cops and judges and juries and state law handle, but that's not what's happening on the ground in higher academia. In college, there's a kind of "soft rape" that is framed entirely around a far different "consent" burden than would stand in a court. I'm asking specifically about the "affirmative consent" burden being widely implemented by coll…

Good statistics on this are going to be hard to come by, seeing how men don't call the cops when they get hit by a woman. Further confusing the issue, is that it's been clearly shown that women are not punished near as severely for identical crimes, women are not cited as much as men are by law enforcement with identical crimes, and women have less incentive to commit the crimes themselves. A poor woman does not rob a liquor store, she tells her man to rob a liquor store. Without collecting data…

No it's not. If I rank all apples 1-10 on their tastiness, I am not "lowering the tastiness of apples across the board." Nor am I stating that all apples are of no tastiness. I am merely applying a method to find the tastiest apple I can afford at the grocery store. If you happen to think that all apples taste the same, well then that's your prerogative. I happen to think that apples are unique, and because they are unique, some taste better than others.

Well here's the truth from all sides: 1) Nobody is 'entitled' to sex from anyone else, however, 2) If you don't fuck your spouse, someone else is going to fuck your spouse. If you have a spouse, you better either get comfortable with fucking them as much as they like to fuck, or get comfortable with the idea that someone else is going to fill that gap. And that goes one way as much as the other, gender-wise.

I think perhaps half the comments I've made in this subreddit are about TRP/AWALT selection bias. I do think there's some validity to needsomehelp3211's comment that viewing all women as potential psychos is prudent just like viewing all guns as potentially loaded is prudent. In my experience, the dumber a girl is, the more likely she is to exhibit TRP's "AWALT" qualities. That TRP methodologies aren't used to chase smart women plays into their selection bias.

I think it's a lot like sailing. You can become a pretty damn good sailor if you only own one boat and you don't sail on any other boats, but when you jump onto a different boat, things are going to be different and your experience isn't totally applicable. "Willingness to cooperate" in war, genocide, or slavery, is not an innate human trait. But those activities heavily benefit those in power, so the powerful use absolutist rhetoric (largely in the form of nationalism or religion) to manipulate the (less powerful) into participating in those activities. They also use absolutist rhetoric to manipulate the public into participating in a whole host of other activities. The powerful do not respect the powerless. That is the fundamental problem of the …

Is there more than one way to peel a banana?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/15 12:13 PM

Except I was talking about action as driven by an innate urge And now you're moving the goalposts to maintain your gambit of assigning inherently bad behavior to masculinity by definition, and then pointing to that bad behavior as evidence that masculinity is bad. Which is fine, whatever. Doesn't fundamentally matter to me. How many feminists see masculinity like you do? 15%? More? Less?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/15 09:20 PM

Then there's your answer to your 'circular logic' question. You have defined an action (controlling others) as bad, and also defined that same action as masculine, and then you use those definitions to "prove" masculinity is bad. That's Begging The Question by its very definition: a circular argument in which the conclusion is included in the premise. I challenge your definition that "controlling others" is masculine. I make claim that the action is not masculine, the action is gender neutral. T…

Deny or affirm the following first: Women throughout history (have / have not) used their "feminine wilds," to: Intimidate, Manipulate, Abuse, or Control?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/15 08:29 PM

Can you give me an example of what you'd consider "toxic femininity?" Is my attempt at an example above reasonable?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/15 08:26 PM

Which was the whole point of my question, belletaco. From the responses here, pretending for the sake of argument that the respondents are appropriately representative and also a reasonable sample size, I'd guess maybe 15% of feminists think masculinity is inherently bad. Particularly if they go so far as to label simple stoicism to be "toxic." Now I realize this thread can't possibly be an adequate sample size, but it's better than nothing. Do you think 15% is high or low?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/15 08:22 PM
2

I think it's kinda dumb to try and attribute it more to one than the other. It's impossible to compete against a team if you're an individual. It's impossible to form a successful team out of people who have no interest in competition. Human society needs both, and you can't determine which one is more "important" in any quantitative way, simply because there's no measuring stick. So the whole argument is dumb on both sides from the onset.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/15 08:19 PM

It most certainly does. You'll notice of the tens of thousands of religions that spread across the globe as recently as 2000 years ago, the only ones left are based in some way on the golden rule. That's societal natural selection at work.

This is circular logic. You say masculinity is bad by defining masculinity with bad traits, and then point to those traits to prove its badness. You say femininity is good by defining femininity with good traits, and then point to those traits to prove its goodness. It is a disingenuous approach to the topic. Do you deny that women have throughout history used their "feminine wilds," for lack of a better word, to: Intimidate, Manipulate, Abuse, or Control? I do not deny men have used their mascu…

Yes. And the reason why liking something traditionally masculine would make one uncomfortable, is because that shit is pushed at us all the time. He doesn't like it because it's pushed on him. I'm not either. I'm new around here. I'm still not fully hip on the lingo. Hell, this thread is the most I've ever done on Reddit. I think TRP has some very interesting things to say. I think much of what the feminists call 'toxicity' over there is a result of them applying a kind of abbreviated scientific method to a poorly selected sample. For: Fireman / Policeman / Infantry / Sailor ..and many others, the inability to 'bottle it up' can be deadly. Simply being the head of household in a dangerous area, or during dangerous times, requires you to 'bottle it up' for the safety of your family. If women want to push more into these role…

I wholeheartedly disagree. You're told that liking sports is integral to masculinity all the time. You might not notice since you agree with the message, but as someone who disagrees with it and gets bludgeoned with it every time he watches TV, or every time he sees a movie which claims to represent "normal guys", trust me, it's there. We are absolutely told that liking sports is a masculine thing. This is 100% correct. So if I were to like sports, but "be uncomfortable liking sports," because l…

My concern is not that the dude is conflicted. My concern is the source of the conflict. I can think of no natural reason to be conflicted over grilling out, unless someone was a vegetarian. That he's conflicted appears, by his own admonition, to be the result of exposure to rhetoric. Rhetoric that states, apparently explicitly, that masculinity is bad. I want to know what ratio of feminists carry the same opinion.

I'm not a huge adherent to TRP, as I mentioned before. But I wonder why you use the term "forcing" instead of "choosing." If a woman chose to adopt the gender role of a stay at home mom, would that be toxic femininity? If not, what would be the cross-gender analogy? Perhaps, an otherwise intelligent woman choosing to act like a ditz in order to draw suitors, and then playing them against each other? Would that be "toxic femininity?"

Is femininity fine when it's used to intimidate, manipulate, abuse, or control people in their everyday lives?

femininity is nurturing, and masculinity is violent What would you say to the idea that femininity is nurturing, and masculinity is protective?

BP and feminist can mingle, but they don't always. Can you explain the difference to me? I mentioned before I'm new to this pill business.

Honest question - Why would creation be gender neutral but destruction be chromosome dependent? Explain like I'm five. I'm new to this whole pill debate thing.

I thought so too at first, but I read it a couple of times and I can't find the punch line.

I don't know who Roosh is, and I don't doubt you could, but I'm not trying to checkmate anyone. I'm trying to get a gauge on feminist opinions of masculinity in general. Today is the first time I've heard the "toxic" distinction. Where is that line drawn, in your opinion, and do you think your opinion holds with the majority of modern feminists?

Do you think the author of the article feels like grilling vegetables is toxic masculinity? If not, why do you suppose he is ashamed of grilling vegetables?

Belletaco, would you mind speculating on why the man in the article feels ashamed of his masculinity? I don't believe in absolutes. I hate the "AWALT" thing, for instance, and I take your response to be a bit of a NAFALT. Not sure if that's a real acronym but whatever. Regardless, it appears to me that at least the feminists who have influenced the author are in fact like that, by evidence in the article. What ratio of feminists, would you say, believe men should be ashamed of masculinity?

So, CursedLemon, as the OP I'd like to ask you a direct question. Do you believe that the world would be a better place if all men were, for lack of a better word, "emasculated?" Followup question, what ratio of feminists do you believe hold the same opinion as yourself? Be honest. I'm not trying to argue. As a man who enjoys my masculinity, I'm just trying to gauge the depth of this belief within the feminist movement.

I'm relatively new to the Great Pill War of the 21st century, having only really discovered these subs over the past month, and I'm still pretty slow to pick up on the terminology. My take on TRP is there's a selection bias in play here that TRPers don't fully realize. No, in truth, NAWALT. However, the sexy ditzy sublcass of women absolutely ARE "like that." So if your goal is to score that sexy ditzy subclass, then TRP dating strategy is very applicable, and very effective. And I could totally…

I don't see how the red pill guys can make that claim, when the evidence is clearly to the contrary, at least in terms of what women want in a man. High School girls want a man who's popular, College girls want a man that's hot, 20s women want a man that's successful, 30s women want a man that's stable, 40s women want a man who likes them, 50s + I have no real data on. If anything, it's men who stop evolving, at least in terms of their relationship desires. Men of every age want a woman who is s…
