| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadIn the same sense it's practical to be exceptionally wealthy: it affords considerable advantages, but it's not actually necessary for an adequate, fulfilling existence. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/08/21 11:31 PM |
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadPhilosophers also largely said the same thing. The uncharacteristically (for the time and the place) egalitarian Epicureans made an entire school of thought around it. Women are so dead-set to get the "best" not out of any pragmatic need, but simple ego and human avarice, with the usual dash of feminine fear thrown in. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/08/21 10:01 PM |
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadThe human inability to tolerate "enough" is well-documented. There's a reason every religion tries to tell us to make do. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/08/21 09:50 PM |
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadThe fact every study we have on the subject shows men more likely to be single and sexless, which corroborates my experience. Women in my observation only spend long periods of time single if they want to or they have a significant impediment; for men the only impediment needed is not being it and things only get worse from there. Yes. There aren't, as far as I remember, any neurological compounds unique to women. You evidently don't know what hyperbole is. Not all sex is equal. | – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadI agree there are serious issues with our schooling and media. But I think the core message of not neglecting and abusing your kids is solid. Looking at the childhoods of Hitler and Stalin should tell you that. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/08/21 06:35 PM |
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadIt's like wearing makeup. You know goddamn well life would be just fine if you didn't, but "just fine" isn't good enough. It's understandable, but you and I both know you could live a perfectly adequate life otherwise. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/08/21 06:32 PM |
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadThe same way the opinions of any reprehensible ideologue are worthless but still annoying. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/08/21 06:30 PM |
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadWomen are significantly less likely to suffer chronic loneliness and an awful uphill struggle in dating for not being it. Struggling means long dry spells and periods without a partner. Nope. The male sexual organs are just female sexual organs that changed in-utero. No, but all the same hormones that produce our thoughts and feelings are the same between genders, just in different quantities and ratios. I haven't seen any convincing evidence of this "reactive sexuality" that women like to tout … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/08/21 06:26 PM |

| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadSo I've been watching the old seasons of the Simpsons, and that episode in which Lisa was worried she was going to become stupid stuck with me. In it, it's revealed Homer and Bart once performed quite well academically, being quite brilliant their own selves, but became dumber with time. They suggest that it's just genetic, but thinking about it, Homer and Bart are both victims of parental abuse and bullying from their peers, likely extensively traumatized, as well as inheritors of cultures of m… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/08/21 06:09 PM |
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadSounds like neurotic, catastrophizing twaddle. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/08/21 05:57 PM |
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadYes, we get it. The slave-moralist refrain that defines women a priori as oppressed victims (carrying with it moral exaltation in our values that place weakness as a virtue) and men as their oppressors means that we can't ever criticize the norms feminism has created, since it's all progress towards the kingdom of heaven on earth a fair, and just society. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/08/21 05:52 PM |

| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadThey're not attracted to me. But I've noticed a distinct archetype of commonly shared features among men that do have easy success with women, with the rest of men struggling to various degrees. Even our genitals are variations of the same organ structures. I have seen no reason to suggest women's sexuality is in any way fundamentally different (there are differences, but they're ones of degree and priority) from men's, and the science that takes a hard look at it seems to find much the same. I'… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/08/21 05:30 PM |
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadSo I should do it to satisfy an endlessly plastic concept that's very blatantly been constructed to serve the interests of feminists, renouncing my interests in the process? Ha! Ha! Ha! You do those things because it satisfies you to do so, and those people are doing you a service by existing and being bettered by you. I'm not opposed to helping others, but I'm not going to help a hegemonic power structure that's structured primarily to benefit a bunch of bourgeois and petit-bourgeois Karens tha… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 03/08/21 11:05 PM |
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadI never claimed to be a victim of feminism; one of feminism's most contemptible qualities is that it operates from a stance of victimhood and all the sour-grapes morality that comes with it. I said it works against our interests. However, it's largely done this by convincing men to renounce their own power and with the backing of an elite structure that's been happy to use it as a wedge in preserving their own power. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 03/08/21 09:46 PM |

| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadWhy should I check myself? What will I gain from that? Why should I, and other men not organize our powers to take what we want from society? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 03/08/21 09:27 PM |
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadI think people should look to their individual interests and strive for better. My vision of this would be a fairly libertarian society with some kind of left-wing understanding of property (I'm fond of use/occupancy) that could be called "equal" in that the prevailing power structures would be more horizontal. But I don't favor this so anyone can be equal, that's an absurd pipe dream, but instead so hierarchies born of drive and expertise can form. Additionally, egalitarianism is inauthentic. W… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 03/08/21 09:18 PM |
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadI don't really buy the whole "equality" thing. Aside from the fact nobody is equal to anyone else, the whole thing is just the sour grapes of the frustrated drive for power of the powerless, who have made a virtue and identity of their powerlessness. This can be observed in the fact equality never actually comes of any egalitarian movement; the group crying for equality either rises to the top and declares things equal (see the bourgeois taking power in Liberalism), or tries endlessly to paint t… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 03/08/21 08:56 PM |
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadNot just that. Men do have women in their lives they'd like to see succeed. But I've been grappling with this thought for a while. Women, in the developed world, are doing just fine. Many men are now going to live and watch the women in their life be propelled ahead of them by an education system that favors them at every level, university admissions that favor them, and corporations fighting over themselves to get more women to appear progressive, and this becomes truer the further down the SES… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 03/08/21 08:51 PM |
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadI couldn't agree more. But in so doing, feminism is an opposing interest. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 03/08/21 08:39 PM |
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadI have little interest in subordinating women. I just see nothing to gain in supporting an ideology that works against my interests and turns society into a suffocating, Kafkaesque hellscape. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 03/08/21 08:38 PM |
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadConsidering that we get absolutely nothing that interests us from it, why should men support feminism? In fact, considering that all ever comes of it from a man's perspective is our material interests being made harder to fulfill (finding ourselves on the losing side of discriminatory admissions and hiring practices), what we enjoy being made worse (see feminist involvement in any male-oriented hobby interest or entertainment) or society just growing generally more suffocating (see any of the mi… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 03/08/21 07:44 PM |
| 2 | Daily Community Chat MegathreadIn my defense, my interest was limited to perusing the cwcwiki for a little bit a bit over a decade ago, everything else I've picked up from them being discussed in unrelated communities. I think I first encountered him on 4chan's /tg/ 2007ish, when someone posted about the funny weirdo from their home town gaming and collectibles shop. I'm pretty baffled that a small subculture popped up to harass and stalk them, but also document their life. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/08/21 09:51 PM |
| 2 | What are the social benefits of being a man?Sounds like a memory worth savoring, thank you for sharing it. Anyhow, you're correct in that men don't typically place much value in intelligence, my counter is just that woman generally don't either unless it can tangibly benefit them, which suggests that the appeal is power and success. I don't have much advice for girl game. It's rough trying to get noticed without coming across as too forward. I think women being more direct and making the first move could help them, chances are at least so… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/08/21 09:41 PM |
| 3 | Daily Community Chat MegathreadSo why exactly does nothing seem to inhibit their infringement? Surely these universal maxims, were they truly something substantial would have more than no effect in this regard, why it's almost like they don't exist at all! | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/08/21 09:36 PM |
| 4 | Daily Community Chat MegathreadRights are entirely fictions of law and power. We have only the ability to direct our own wills and secure what autonomy we can by our own strength. Rights are less about protecting your autonomy (as evidenced by how they're thrown out the window as soon as it suits the interests of government to do so) and more about conditioning you to renounce your own power and accept "legitimate" power. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/08/21 09:06 PM |
| 1 | Daily Community Chat MegathreadAnyone pay attention to that Chris Chan business? For those who don't know it's a long, sordid obsession of the internet (dating some time to the latter 00s and still running), with an autistic man, named Christian Weston Chandler, who made webcomics about his character "Sonichu" (exactly what it sounds like), wore a dumb clay medallion with the character's face on it, got around looking for a "boyfriend-free girl" in the cringiest ways possible and generally living like an unpleasant manchild s… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/08/21 09:03 PM |

| 3 | What are the social benefits of being a man?Well, I know anecdotes aren't worth much, but I for one find intelligence appealing in women; one of the women that has endured in my mind is as such because she's a titanic philosophy geek. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/08/21 06:59 PM |
| 2 | What are the social benefits of being a man?I think since their brains don't make them money, prospective partners don't give a shit. Sort of, but not really. Since they associate primarily among others like them, they could be said to get then esteem from the peers, but not really in any general sense. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/08/21 06:47 PM |
| 6 | What are the social benefits of being a man?I've known way too many chronically single male brainiacs to buy this. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/08/21 06:35 PM |
| 1 | Q4all: education and income/ genders -- why is there a discrepancyThese differences exist to a lesser degree in other countries. The lesser degree being most readily explained by women having less luxury to pursue personal passions. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/08/21 04:55 AM |
| 1 | Q4all: education and income/ genders -- why is there a discrepancyThat's true, but a difference exists and it grows more, not less, pronounced in more egalitarian countries. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/08/21 04:44 AM |
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadOn what basis is it not natural? It's an extension of our use of tools to our care and betterment; not much different from filing our nails on rough stone or chewing willow bark to soothe a headache. This mentality is just an extension of the false idea that there's something fundamentally distinct about humans compared to other animals. There is no such thing as a cheat code, only resources to be utilized. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/08/21 02:59 AM |
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadIt's the truth of the matter. You can't create a definition of natural that isn't either fully inclusive of human behavior (I favor this stance, seeing as we're animals), fully exclusive of human behavior (favored by hippies) or arbitrarily declaring this or that behavior unnatural (ethical theories of natural law). | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/08/21 02:35 AM |

| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadConan the Barbarian (1984), Dredd and Robocop (1987) are my trifecta of go-to action movies. Demolition Man is pretty great though. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/08/21 12:32 AM |

| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadI remember watching The Transporter and thinking how the gif of the scene in which he charges at and kicks down the door was a vastly superior experience. Is it similarly bad? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/08/21 12:11 AM |
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadI'd wager there are in fact police shootings every day in the US; even aside from the matter of a questionable attitude towards the use of force in law enforcement, there's also 330 million+ people in the US, and so lots of generally infrequent things happen every day. Which isn't to say foreign troll farms aren't fanning the flames of discontent. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/08/21 10:38 PM |
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadInteresting. It explains why I don't see a lot of SJWs/extreme right-wingers outside of the big platforms or in real life. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/08/21 10:34 PM |
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadHuh, I wonder how many of the really rabid SJWs are trolls. It would to some extent explain how this brand of political correctness, a very unpopular minority position, has come to be so large a feature of internet discourse. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/08/21 10:27 PM |
| 2 | Would you agree that vetting can only take you so far, sometimes your options are your options?Perhaps. But I'd contend there are desirable people (in that they'd be a good addition to one's life) at every "level" if you prioritize things like values and personality, while maintaining a degree of forgiveness for oddities and shortcomings that are harmless; in short, you have to compromise. Vetting is indeed only able to take you so far (you never actually know anyone; you just have a subjectively constructed narrative of them) but I think it's silly to pretend as though sloppy vetting pra… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/08/21 10:22 PM |
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadI'm not disinclined to agree. Although enjoyable, if you break it down, sex is pretty gross. So someone who has had a lot of it without much connection to their partner is someone who has frivolously engaged in something gross frequently. I'd liken it to finding out your partner was really into having people spit in their mouth. It's not something I'd shame someone over (shaming is pointless and rude) but I can understand an aversion. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/08/21 10:01 PM |
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadI don't know, I think many men care in that they don't want to find out their girl is the town bicycle, it just doesn't in any way trump their other concerns. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/08/21 09:52 PM |

| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadI wouldn't say there's anything wrong with n-count preferences, but I would say it's not actually a helpful preference to hold. I do think women's aversion to men who've had sex with other men is a product of homophobia, plain and simple, but I'm also a strict amoralist so I'm not going to call that "wrong" either. That said, they do absolutely inflate the significance of men's n-count preferences. As far as I can tell, it's more of an "all other things equal" tie-breaker, a soft preference, rat… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/08/21 08:03 PM |
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadI personally think this cultural trend is just due to ick factor from latent homophobia, since homophobia is deeply entrenched in our culture. And yeah, I agree, doesn't mean all reasons to reject someone are equal. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/08/21 07:59 PM |
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadConsidering that a man having engaged in homosexual intercourse is a dealbreaker for many (most?) women, I don't think women's righteous indignation about men being averse to women with substantial sexual history is really any place from which they should be throwing stones. Personally, I really don't care much about someone's sexual past (beyond concerns of compatibility and not wanting to date someone who has done legitimately horrible things), but I do think women could collectively do more t… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/08/21 07:41 PM |

| 17 | Hello! A few questions for the men in hereI don't hold as negative an opinion of women as many here, my view on women is largely that they're as superficial as men, every bit as prone to shitty romantic choices and would largely be happier with some form of semi-traditional gender role that doesn't involve the dependence, disrespect and vulnerability of actual traditional gender roles, and the members of my own family have given me no reason to doubt this. Never been married, much less divorced. Because the only way to get a relationshi… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/08/21 07:16 PM |

| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadWait, so she's constantly ranting about how hard femcels have it while she has a boyfriend that found her online? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/08/21 06:26 PM |
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadWhy are you blaming this on men? You are the one who equated it. Also, women don't really have any ground to stand on here considering how a man having had homosexual sexual experience is a deal breaker for most of them. Mind the beam in thine eye and all that. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/08/21 06:14 PM |
| – | Traditional gender roles are not "the natural way of things", nor are they particularly "good"I don't dispute that. Our traditional gender roles were part of maintaining our traditional hierarchies; producing more soldiers, laborers, homemakers and mothers, while keeping men complacent by offering then some measure of guarantee of a family that they could rule as a small autocracy. My only contention is the notion that gender roles must be done away with entirely (which I'm not sure is your position anyway) I feel the case of David Reimer provides a solid evidence that there's a neurolog… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/08/21 04:59 AM |

| -1 | Daily Community Chat MegathreadAll you can do is accept your lot, and struggle to find someone. I'd recommend shooting for men that don't have a ton of options and paying close attention to what they say and do, looking for indicators of their deeper character. You're not going to find a dashing prince charming, and the one you do get will probably be a little damaged, so you'll have to extend the same patience for his shortcomings that you'd expect him to extend for yours. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/08/21 02:27 AM |
| 3 | Daily Community Chat MegathreadI mean no offense, but I think that might be low self-esteem talking. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/08/21 02:03 AM |
| 1 | Q4all: education and income/ genders -- why is there a discrepancyAbsolutely. I'd wager they do less to skew the average wages of men than the extremely wealthy since there's a vastly smaller gap between them and the median than there is between the median and the maximum. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/08/21 01:57 AM |
| 1 | Daily Community Chat MegathreadI'm not disputing that. Everyone looks better in their prime. But I think it's perfectly possible for any man to look dignified with his natural hair. We can invest in research to treat androgenetic alopecia and encourage men to bear it with dignity at the same time. Our first task in living an authentic existence is to accept, and hopefully come to love, life in all its glorious, extravagent indifference. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/08/21 01:55 AM |

| 3 | Daily Community Chat MegathreadNever heard of the show, but at a quick image search, I must say I like his look. The first paragraph is sincere, the second is a tongue-in-cheek poke at the times I've seen women complain that men's preferences, ranging from preferring non-protruding labia, to wanting groomed bodyhair, to not wanting fat women, are paedophilic. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/08/21 12:24 AM |

| 1 | Daily Community Chat MegathreadI disagree; Tom Hiddleston, Hugo Weaving and Sean Connery (to pick three examples at various stages of androgenetic alopecia) are all quite dignified looking; hell, even Hulk Hogan with his skullet is dignified. This is one thing (among many) men would do well not to give a damn what women think about it; men could stand to adopt some body-positivity, especially since the aesthetic standards that we're held to are mostly things out of our control. | 1 | Daily Community Chat MegathreadI agree to an extent. | 1 | Daily Community Chat MegathreadWe as a society have chosen to deny the one guaranteed outcome of human existence (our deaths) and have decided that that highest aim of our civilization is to ensure everyone lives as long as possible in as much comfort as possible with as much happiness as possible, aiming ultimately (and futilely) towards immortality in absolute comfort and bliss. But we can't pursue an authentic existence in denial of this reality, comfort is a negative value (as in an absence of discomfort) and happiness wa… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/07/21 10:17 PM |
| 1 | Daily Community Chat MegathreadI dislike that the standard response to men going bald is to shave it off or comb it over. I think men can look quite dignified with a high, thinning or even missing hairline (Hugo Weaving springs to mind) and I wish more men would experiment with their hair at this stage of life. Women's obsession with perfect hairlines is paedophilic, and should be disregarded completely (I'm mostly shitposting, as I know men are in no position to throw stones). | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/07/21 09:50 PM |

| 1 | Q4all: education and income/ genders -- why is there a discrepancyAre you sure you don't have your causation backwards on that? Men gravitate towards the highest paying work. Even among working-class men you'll see them gravitating towards laborious trades, camp jobs and dangerous but high-paying occupations like oil-field work. So if a field starts to become less lucrative, men will increasingly avoid it, which leaves openings in the field women might come to fill. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/07/21 08:48 PM |
