Going for what you want doesn't make you threatening. Asking a girl out is a huge compliment to her. Even if she says no, she will see you in a new light. It's just unfortunate for us guys that we are expected to make the first move.

I think I have the same feeling as you. I find it difficult to have extended conversations with anyone (unless we have lots in common). I feel as though I do all I can to keep conversation flowing. I then give them the chance to continue the conversation, but they just stop talking. It's so frustrating. Call me self-centred, but when I compare myself to all those male celebrities considered attractive, I am definitely considered attractive. Not to mention I get a lot of looks from girls when I a…

Thanks for the answer, that makes sense. I'll keep doing what I'm doing and hope for the best.

Much like myself to be honest. I know the type of person I want to be, and I want her to be the same. In short. Not too outspoken/slightly reserved, yet friendly and confident. Is just as outgoing as she enjoys staying home. Emotionally intelligent (knows how to control her emotions). Honest.

I can't agree with you more. Lifting has given me so much confidence. The gains aren't the main reason, it's the feeling that you get just after a workout.. It's what I imagine drugs would feel like. Keeping this up, working out 3-4 times a week, I find slowly increases my minimum happiness level.

Yes. Of course looks matter. But I don't think the threshold is as high as us guys tend to believe. I'm sure you have seen those couples where you just can't believe that the girl is going out with such an ugly guy. Just remembering that always reassures me.

That too. There's lots of things you can do to relax.

You have to realize what you want. You want a relationship where you want her as much as she wants you. You have to have faith in your relationship. By letting her interact with other guys can only strengthen your relationship with her. If she runs off with another guy, then it was never going to be your ideal relationship.

Unless you need to take a phone call or leave the room. But yes I agree that to get someones attention it isn't great.

relaxation is based upon action not feeling Imo that is partially correct. Actions certainly make you more confident. But I don't think relaxation is based solely on actions which is what I think you are saying. Your confidence can benefit if you know how to control yourself mentally.

Tl;dr. From the title, you had sex on the first date and then she left. She wanted sex. That is all.

Ye wtf is up with that... Such a turn off to me.

Just ask yourself; what are the possible outcomes? Everyone will find out and point and laugh at you? Won't happen. She will say something like "Who would want to go out with someone like you?" and tell everyone. Most likely you won't be asking a girl out that is capable of doing something as cruel as this. You have better taste. She thanks you but says no. Either she doesn't want to go out with you or she's too nervous. She says yes.

Because it was probably too early in the relationship.

At least you'll age well. Constantly smiling will give you wrinkles. I change my expression when I meet someone I want to get to know.

That's ok. I'll just emphasize that fact that there weren't really any girls I wanted to ask out before I met her (kinda romantic :). Or that I was too shy at school.

You can fake it until you make it, but what happens when you finally get a girl and your insecurities you hid when you first met start coming through? I don't think you fully understand the idea behind "Fake it til you make it". It's just a guide to aid in the process of practicing, and by practicing you get better at something. Yes it makes you ignore your insecurities, but if you fake it for years, eventually you won't have those insecurities. By faking it and making progress, you learn new th…

I can relate to the feeling of "just do it, who gives a fuck what happens". I focus so much on doing it to the bect of my ability that I don't really care how things turn out. I set my mind to it, and just accept what happens. As long as I get it done. But does it really matter that the emotion is dulled? e.g. Is there really a difference between natural confidence and faked confidence? Not from other peoples perspective. Say if I ask a girl out, she says yes and I get her number. What does it m…

I don't use Facebook, or any social media for that matter. It just has too many negative connotations. Where I come from it is seen as a distraction that only kids use at school.

I think some people (myself included) prefer the "beat around the bush" approach. I would much rather a girl I liked used her body language and eye contact to interact with me rather than specifically telling me she finds me hot. I guess it makes me think she's a bit "loose". I find the whole unspoked attraction thing much more exciting and comfortable. Telling her you think she's hot (and vice versa) is fine once you have got to know each other a bit better. But early on in the relationship I t…

Agreed. Fuck motivation. Fuck justification. Discipline is key.

Yup my experience is similar. All girls my age I meet have a boyfriend. Even the unattractive ones (in every sense of the word). Also I think the "boyfriend destroyer" idea is a very bad idea. Even if she does leave her boyfriend and gets with you, it shows that she is disloyal. What stops her from ditching you and going out with someone even better than you? I say have faith and patience that someone will come along who is single.

Another good saying is: "Fake it until you make it." i.e. If you want to be something (confident, successful, whatever), just pretend to be that thing. Is there a difference between someone faking confidence and natural confidence? Is so, you aren't faking it well enough. Simply get better at faking it (from perceiving, practising etc) until no one can tell the difference.

Another is to ask yourself, what is the worst that can happen in this situation? We are often scared of the unknown. This helps to add a but of realism to the situation and makes you feel a lot more confident.

You can only control how you feel and just hope for the best on her part. If she doesn't follow suit, then you probably don't want to date someone that shy. In my opinion it is always going to be awkward. I mean by asking a girl out, one of the things you're indirectly saying that you find her hot and want to have sex with her. There's always gonna be some level of awkwardness to be honest. It's just something you have to come to terms with.

You can't change subject right away or it would seem strange. What first comes to mind would be something like "Oh ok. How long have you been together?". This acknowledges what she has said, shows a bit of surprise (hints at disappointment) and shows interest which allows the conversation to move onto something else. Then analyse her answer, and look for an out (something to change the subject).

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
