I forgot the exact statistic but even in developed places (Western Europe, USA, Canada, east Asia,...) of women who have been beaten/abused/raped by their husbands 1/4 were also reproductively abused. Like the man hiding her pill or replacing it...

I have a bit of a different opinion. I think expertise and compassion is the most important thing. Gynecology is a really complex and fascinating subject in med school and it takes a lot to succeed in med school and residency. And also posting these pictures of gynecologists online making fun of their appearance... it’s cruel. What if these gynaecologes work 10-14 hours a day to make sure their patients are doing well?

I think about this a lot. I work in a male dominated field. The older women and I have no problem doing our work, going for lunch, being outdoors,... happily live our life. But it’s the men who seek our attention. They’re the ones proposing dinner, gifts, seeking conversation,... I truly believe most men can’t live without women.

Going 50/50 never made sense to me. You’re paying for dinner and holidays, who cares? I am risking getting murdered/raped by dating you, am paying for my make-up, clothing,have a fine line to walk on at work if I want to negotiate for promotion, etc etc They don’t have to get pregnant, period cramps, ... You know what’s also interesting: the amount of men who marry for money or to benefit their career. I think social status also plays a role. I used to visit a gym (pre Covid) in a nice part of town. Most women there had great careers or were “house wives” with staff.
