I do apologize if I made false assumptions about your views. I think one can very reasonably expect to be treated exactly the same as if they were cis in just about every situation that doesn't involve medical care or romance, and that the law should enshrine that as a right as far as public places are concerned. Let me ask the question directly, then. Under what circumstance do you believe that I, as a trans woman, should be treated differently than a cis woman, and an infertile cis woman in pa…

Ah, I mistakenly thought I was replying to u/forgetaboutthelonely again, so I mistakenly attributed your words to them, and theirs to you! You're the first person to tell me that there is legal precedent for prosecuting someone for not disclosing gender transition to a romantic prospect. There was a time when I probably would have agreed with you that a trans person has an obligation to disclose their transition. I've come to see it differently now. Bear in mind that I'm not going on dates now b…

Your questions are fine by me. I did not know that I was transgender when I got married. I was, to use the parlance of the queer community, a transgender egg. (r/egg_irl) I came out about five years ago after we had already had a kid and things were really stormy for several years, but things have been calm lately. I think the video you linked to sounds about on point. I read a book a while back called "Whipping Girl", by Julia Serano, a transgender author who expands more on the concepts of tra…

There is r/nonbinary, but tbh, I got banned from there years ago over a misunderstanding with one of their mods, which soured me on their community. The thing I used to really like about that community is they encouraged lots of selfies, which I found helpful. I wouldn't copy your post exactly to r/mtf. I would tailor it more to their community. What I know is that lots of trans women see themselves as ugly and undesirable due to decades of brainwashing from cis-het society and transphobic media…

Hey there! I'm a trans woman in a committed relationship. I hear all the time about how difficult relationships are for trans women and how they're afraid of being judged and even assaulted by cis men, plus there is lots of suspicion that men look upon us as fetish objects. I think you'd make a lot of people happy if you shared these thoughts on r/mtf. Also, fwiw, I know you've written a lot under the handle u/Forgetaboutthelonely. I don't always agree with your thoughts, but I appreciate you sh…

How about because the wealthy and powerful want us to see homeless people treated as subhuman so that they can be a visible deterrent to those of us tempted to give up on our "jobs"?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
