Because my understanding of how the scientific method works isn't to disprove anything, it's to test hypothesis and answer questions. Its about proving yourself right, if other things are wrong then that's a consequence. And most of the time the things they prove wrong are just outdated. 1	Regarding "Guys in their 20's, you don't have much time!" If you took the same class 3 times and bombed it each time I would suggest switching majors. "Pre-calc" was a requirement to get into my program and trust me the math only gets more difficult as you go on. If you have trouble with derivatives and intervals then you're going to have a hell of a time with non linear ODE's.
