Makes sense actually. Perhaps that’s the answer: look for genuinely interesting things. Thanks a lot. Now all i need is courage to talk to the pretty stranger

I just dream and think a lot. Be it in public transport or in a room with my friends. True, when I connect with someone, it progresses on to become close friends or really good friends. But it’s very rare (for me) and it all started situational

My brain tells me small talk is pointless. And then i have to argue with it, asking why do elders recommend small talk with strangers, seems like they have a big point or skill they want us to figure out. As for me personally, i am always in head. Place me in a room alone with a cute girl and i will be imaging stuff, thinking about my future or planning my days ahead instead of talking with her. Not touching my phone maybe a good habit but not talking even when alone sounds like a bad habit. I d…

That’s also seems like a fun way to break the ice

How would an introvert get started with this? I personally don’t like doing small talk.

What I meant was “ does this actually work?”

Will try this today. Can someone confirm that this works or is this a waste of time?

2-3 minutes seems short. More like for 10 to 12 minutes we talk and engage a lot and then the vibe dies down as if I had to do something to escalate the situation. Long- form answers, asking questions and smiling and laughing etc. and this is a lot like the bar game because our get-together (organised by the university students) is always at a bar when all of us can drink and have fun. I don’t drink alcohol, just adding this. The environment is like you can approach everyone because everyone is …

So all I have to do is genuinely express how she makes me feel in order to escalate?

She didn’t mean “Tell me to come with you or at your place”?

What does that exactly mean? What am I missing here? Clearly I am bot the only one here right?

I completely resonate with you OP! I am trying to be less logical and be more free flowing now. Before I would think about what to say. But that does not matter, what matters is How You Say It!

Went better than expected actually. I was able to physically escalate, playfully tease her and had a great time with her! I need to work on my storytelling skills

Going on my first date this Thursday (cold approached her). A bit nervous but also looking forward for upgrading my social skills and also work on my comfort building and storytelling skills. Hopefully it goes well. Thanks for this post, OP! Made me feel better and a bit less nervous.

Well not immediately! They developed their conversation skills and slowly learnt the correct words to use to get everyone’s attention! Is that what you are trying to point out?

Ah okay understood! Thanks for the info!

What if you were doing something wrong or something was missing when cold approaching? Why are some guys successful at cold approaching and some aren’t? I think it’s all about conversation skills, flirting skills etc

Oh yeah! Alright thanks! English is not my first language so excuse me for not understanding everything

Just talking or even getting their numbers and going on dates? Even if my goal is to pick up girls so I can meet “the one”, in the end I am talking to cute girls I see around me. It’s a win- win, yes?

Girls are less likely to come to you, bro! They will give off non verbal hints, they are less likely to take the step themselves! We guys have to be the ones to approach and have a conversation with them! I just lack social skills and I have a lot of anxiety! Once all that is crushed, I am pretty sure I can pick up girls Correct me if I am wrong

Thanks for this post, OP! Got me more encouraged! I have been doing this for 3 months currently (day game, no night clubs and stuff) and have got zero results so far! I have that mr. nice guy inside me and am working on it to get it out!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
