Women face more social scrutiny for cheating than men do, on average. In a lot of cultures, male infidelidity is excused or seen as normal. There's no female equivalent to this.

I find it interesting that OP decided to use True Crime as the reason for why women are weary of men and not the literal statistics that show how dangerous men are. Men being 98% of rapists is not just a coincidence.

Dating isn't dead or dying, I barely know anyone who's single and I'm 22. Most people meet through apps and it works out fine for most. That or friend groups and events.
