MGTOW is a philosophy, and there's no objectively wrong/good way to live your life. If you are into dating, cool for you, but if you don't find it appealing, then you fit in the MGTOW category. To answer your question though, I encourage you to try it out with someone you get along with very well. Beware of liars and toxic women, I once fell for one and it was the most painful experience I had so far.

Depends on your luck. Personally, most the people I know are evil, liars, fake or love to gossip on others; even my firt and only gf was just manipulative and considered me like her toy. So I decided to distance myself from other people and only keep in touch with my few true friends, and continue improving myself, practicing my hobbies and working towards my goals.
