I agree. I think if their husbands weren't supporting them they'd get jobs and probably live normal lives out of necessity. My mom did this to a degree while I was growing up. She had legitament medical problems but certainly not anything that would justify almost 20 years of a sedentary lifestyle. I feel the worst for pillars husband.
