I know what I like. I know what I need. At 38, none of that is a mystery anymore. Whether I tell a woman immediately is a different story. Some things are easy. “I like this.” “I don’t like that.” Fine. Other things carry a bit more risk. Loneliness. Insecurity. The need to feel wanted. The fear of disappointing someone. Most men have those too. The deeper stuff tends to arrive gradually. One honest conversation here, one vulnerable moment there, and before you know it someone knows parts of you…

Lady, the man drove 12 hours to help you, talks to you for 2 hours at a time, and booked a flight after you confessed. You don’t need more evidence that he’s interested. The package is cute. Forget "witty". Directness is actually more powerful when done right. Saying 'I find you attractive' flat out is solid, but the delivery is everything. Slow down, hold eye contact, let the silence breathe after you say it. Don't fill the gap. Most guys panic and kill the moment by talking over it. The mistake you want to avoid is making it sound like you're seeking validation. You're not telling her she's attractive hoping she agrees, you're telling her because you mean it and you don't need her…

Is the date still on? Then you should stop texting her and just set up a date. One message, specific time and place. If she's in, great. Show up and close it in person. If she flakes or ghosts, then yeah, move on and give your attention to a woman who actually deserves it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
