I agree. That's why I said society in the beginning. Similar to you, my significant other is very supportive, and I don't think it's a male female thing necessarily, moreso to do with awareness/ intelligence. Having said that I would wager there is a biological component as well, which cuts both ways. We are after all programmed to seek certain traits from the opposite sex.

Women, and society in general are programmed to value strength and resolution in men. Once a bloke comes out about his problems, he has undermined his strength and resolve, along with his masculinity. Its paradoxical that some women genuinely want men to be more emotional and open, but fail to see that they will naturally be repulsed when they do.

So pathetic, that at the slightest whiff of women < men (at something) the press can't contain themselves. It's embarrassing that this isn't even published, or peer reviewed and the press have gleefully rushed out some shoddy journalism. The agenda is strong. As others have pointed out, if the reverse was proven to be true in a concrete study it would never see the light of day. Boggles the mind
