Similar to you, my significant other is very supportive, and I don't think it's a male female thing necessarily, moreso to do with awareness/ intelligence. Having said that I would wager there is a biological component as well, which cuts both ways. Once a bloke comes out about his problems, he has undermined his strength and resolve, along with his masculinity. It's embarrassing that this isn't even published, or peer reviewed and the press have gleefully rushed out some shoddy journalism. The agenda is strong.
