I can speak to this because this is my own experience I’m new to my industry and my supervisor took me on as a mentee from day one. He verbally stated that he was going to do any and everything that he could in order to help me succeed. He’s a couple years older than me and married with a child. He’s also recognized as an industry veteran and has a stellar reputation throughout our organization. I remember him mentioning something about his wife while we were all out at a networking event. I clo…

This guy is such a loser. Even the name, “fReSh AnD fIt” sounds like a lame joke. I unfortunately came across his TikTok and he was teaching one of his fellow scrotes on how to get women to behave and not flake out on dates. He compared training a woman to training a dog 😳

I wouldn’t even count this as the “talking” stage since you’ve never even met in real life. He’s probably a catfish and some random pretending to be a professional athlete. Girl, just stop responding to that pen pal and keep it moving

I started watching one of her videos on YouTube thinking it would worth watching. It started out okay but eventually the message turned into “modern women need to lower their standards”. Time wasted!

Hmm... My childhood was pretty shitty while my parents were together and we seemed “normal” on the outside. I still grew up into a stable adult with an education and a career. I didn’t chose to be born to dysfunctional parents but I made the choice to work on myself and not become a shitty adult. I would rather date someone with substantial self awareness and empathy rather than someone who comes from a “decent” background

This is a little concerning TBH. You shouldn’t feel a roller coaster of emotions after two dates. On the brighter side, you’ll look back on things in a month or so and realize that you completely forgot about this guy. Try focusing on yourself and don’t use dates/men as a way to fill a void. That will only get you tangled up with someone who could potentially take advantage of you. Be your own source of happiness by doing things that make you happy. You don’t need these lame dudes anyway

Is this real? Girl, he’s a creep and you need to block him now! No explanation needed either

He was clearly manipulating you thinking he would get sex by getting you alone and telling you he’s been celibate. He ignored you because he’s mad that his plan failed and you didn’t give it up that night. This dude needs to fuck off for real, he sounds like a loser. Real men don’t “do this”. If he was a real man he would have called you and your friends Uber rides home

I’ve walked out on a few, one was blatant disrespect and the other one triggered my flight or fight response. The first guy was in the process of negging me and subtly talking about how one girl he hooked up with in the past was better than me. Ok, point taken. So the minute he went to the bathroom I grabbed my coat and left without saying a word. Since I was in the fun side of town and already dressed up I went out on my own and had a great time. He blew my phone up that night but I didn’t care…

I consider it a red flag whenever I’m talking to a new guy and he sends me a picture of anything (where he is, his dog, a selfie). Like I literally don’t give a fuck about what a stranger is doing. I see it as them trying to establish a false sense of intimacy and a test to push my boundaries. They want to see if you’ll reciprocate with a picture of yourself. I just ignore the pictures and eventually block and move on

I “dated” a guy who would constantly bring up his ex. He said to me one day, “my exes boobs are perky, yours look a little more natural. But it’s ok, I like your boobs”. He also blamed me for not having time to go to the gym because we spent too much time together. But whenever he wanted to hook up, he magically had all the time in the world

This reads literally like my ex. It’s such a mindfuck when they play the nice guy act so well but they’re psychologically disturbed beneath the facade. Congrats 100x on having the courage to get out and not look back! People like that are so full of negative energy that they can suck the life out of you. All of these date ideas are low effort IMO and I would never consider going on a walk or to someone’s house romantic. It sounds fun to do with girlfriends or a mixed group of people but not something I would expect out of a man who’s trying to date me It might be better to just wait it out until places actually open to even bother with dating

Ughhh I used to watch this guy’s videos before I discovered FDS! I think one of the top rules should be to never take advice from a man regarding dating/relationships. This guy is clearly found a way to manipulate women into buying his crap. I’m so happy now that I have all the clarity I need from this subreddit, we need to redirect that guy’s subscribers over this way to us lol

I agree, men who are too active on social media are a big red flag. I’ve noticed a lot more LVM using social media whereas HVM don’t have time for it or even care. When HVM do have social media, it’s usually private, a low number of people they follow, and post a few pictures every year or so

I know this all too well as my own father is mentally ill. Growing up around him was hell on earth and I question my mother’s sanity for marrying him. I’ve completely cut contact with him for my own sake as being around him for even 5 minutes would drive me crazy. I’ve battled with depression and anxiety my whole life thanks to my father and mother enabling him, and thinking she could change him through prayer. Ugh I know guys like this who work in “lower” positions than I do. The weird thing is that I know one of them has a crush on me, but then he’ll make these passive aggressive jabs. One day he’s polite to me, the next he’s literally ignoring me or asking me to give up my workstation. It’s annoying and I feel like I’m dealing with a child. Whenever I quest anything he says he asks why I’m getting mad or feel offended. Like wtf
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/07/20 01:58 AM
18

I hate that excuse! In the past I just thought of it as a way to maintain contact. I then realized they had no intention of ever meeting or even pursuing me. Now I just lie and say I don’t have social media or just unmatch
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/07/20 01:20 AM

She’s talking about women who act like “one of the boys” as a way to get male attention and validation. The make it a point to show how low maintenance and easy going they are to get a man to like them If you genuinely enjoy hobbies that aren’t traditionally feminine, there’s nothing wrong with that because you’re being true to yourself! Your hobbies make you happy whereas a pick me does things to make men happy
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/07/20 01:15 AM

This might sound twisted but I highly suspect that your friend was jealous of your dog! She saw how happy your dog made you feel and in her sick little mind, wanted to take this happiness away from you. Narcissists are like black holes and will destroy anything they consider a threat
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/07/20 07:59 PM

What an awful thing for her to say to you! Girl, please just block and never look back. Take this as an opportunity to enter a new chapter in life. You will level up and in a few months time you’ll be onto better things!

Omg are you me?? Literally identical to me and my former BFF! She too introduced me to a number of NVM men, one of which was my abusive ex. She tried smearing my name through our mutual friends when I stopped being friends with her, all who ended up siding with her. She was such a pick me and would do anyyyyything for a crumb of male attention, even going so far to insinuate that her own brother was checking her out! The worst thing is that she’s married with children and would threaten her husb…

I sympathize because I had a BPD roommate. It was horrible living with her and she always painted the guys she stalked as “mean” or “fuckboys”. I literally watched her threaten a guy but then she’d turn around and say that men were trash. I’m sorry that your husband had to go through that!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy23/06/20 12:08 AM
5

She honestly comes off as personality disordered or on the cluster B spectrum. I personally have experienced “crazy” behavior from problematic women and it affects every part of their life. I grew up with a very narcissistic bff who was insanely jealous of the smallest things. She was also the biggest pick me and did absolutely any to get the tiniest drop of male validation. She even drove across country lines for a guy! I’m honestly not surprised that Amy cooper is a trash human all around
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/06/20 11:30 AM

Don’t feel silly, we all need to learn and we pick things up through experience. If he told you that he’s a manic depressive then I would RUN. That right there is your signal to block and move on. Most men don’t reveal their flaws so quickly unless they use that info to manipulate you. They embellish their flaws as “being honest”, which works in their favor because you end up being the one to let your guard down. He sounds like trouble and your intuition caught that

I sensed the red flags the minute you said you spoke in the phone for hours. Red flags everywhere! He honestly sounds very manipulative if he’s going to keep you on the phone for that long and tell you all his deep dark secrets after only one date I would say that he sounds like a narcissist that’s love-bombing you and doesn’t respect your boundaries. Regardless of his mental state, you should practice having high standards, (get off bumble and never approach men first please!) self love, and di…

Just if they’re way too active on social media period! Men are the provider in a relationship and should have jobs/careers that keep them busy. Most HVM I’ve noticed either keep their SM private and restrict it only to people they know or their interests, or just don’t have an account at all I’ve found a lot more LVM who were extremely active on SM, especially ones who take a bunch of selfies and constantly go on liking sprees of other women’s pictures. I’ve been practicing having an abundance mindset in dating as well as other areas of my life. I stopped keeping in contact with my LVM ex and blocked his number. Never gave him any reason either, just told him to have a nice life and I moved on. I met a guy shortly before lockdown who seemed great at first. Our conversations fizzled out so I ended up forgetting about him. I randomly ran into him the other day so we started chatting. I realized that he indeed is an LVM and that the time I spent n…

Omg are you me? The same exact thing happened to me prior to the pandemic and this guy I was chatting with was going to Chicago. These men are desperate no matter what’s going on in the world! All this guy said to me in his first text was, “we should meet up”. I didn’t have FDS knowledge at the time but this still threw me off so I never responded. I don’t think I’ve ever made the first move in my adult life, but there was one time that I exchanged numbers with a guy I met at a club and I ended up being the one to initiate the conversation. Our first date was a lame drink date but our second date took place while we both happened to be on vacation in the same country at the same time. We spent most of the day together and then planned to meet up the following day. I told him that I had already made plans for the next day and couldn’t break…

I subscribe to two YouTube channels that discussed this book. Both channels belong to two different women; one more analytical and discusses current events and topics like tech and psychology, the other is more of a “level up” channel that discusses manifesting and relationships. Ironically, the woman on the level up channel discussed this book on a video and even quotes him sometimes! I’m like, noooo don’t spread this garbage amongst your viewers who are trying to better themselves! What’s funn…

I had a guy ask for my number after chatting for a few weeks so I gave him my burner number. He just fizzled out and never heard from him since. My expectations for OLD are very low, and after the lockdown is over I’m making more of an effort to meet men in person Side note: FDS rules state that you should never take the lead or initiate in relationships. Let the man ask you for a FaceTime call and then you decide whether or not he’s worthy 😊

In NYC, I certainly expect a man to pay for my Uber/taxi home at least on the first date. This is where I start to split hairs - Should he have a car if he lives outside of NYC? YES, he should have a car (and not an old broken down one either) Should he have a car if he lives in NYC? Ehhh, I’m somewhat lenient on this. If he’s a local then yea, I’d expect him to have owned a car at some point in his life. If he’s not a local (which is a majority of people) and just keeps his car in his hometown,…

I used to be a kardashian fan when I was younger but just grew out of it due to boredom. I’m honestly shocked at their horrible taste in men and would have thought that they would have improved their dating prospects by now. They have access to the most elite HVM and still go for these LVM athletes or rappers. They also never seem to do anything meaningful with their lives in terms of education, travel experience, or even just branching outside of their tiny bubble.

I just posted in another thread about men paying for dates. Why is this even a thing and on what planet do men think that we should split the bill with them?! It’s literally the most BASIC rule of dating. If a man asks you out, it’s expected that he’s going to show you a good time and wants to impress you. On the last first date I went on before lockdown, the man sent me flowers (we work in the same building) and showed up with expensive perfume as a gift. He also paid for my Uber ride home. And…

I might be in the minority here but I’ve honestly never had a man expect me to pay for a date in my left except for one guy who was a few years younger than me and inexperienced with dating. Even then, I told him at the table that I wasn’t paying and looked at him in shock. He ended up paying for both of us I’m not sure if it’s because of my standards or just the type of men I date but when I get asked out, I go with the assumption that they are paying because that’s just how it is, no questions…

My last relationship was with a man who had teenagers, he had them when he was young and he was almost 10 years older than me. This was my worst and most traumatic relationship, hands down. I actually HAVE been roofied in the past. Luckily I was with a girlfriend and told her right away that I felt weird, so we got out of the area quick and took an Uber home. This happened in a public place My number one tip would be to say hello to a couple of people when you first arrive and BEFORE you start drinking, that way, you’re establishing rapport. It’s easier to get out of a conversation if you have one or two people trying to talk rather than having one guy hang around for too long

I feel like I get asked this question a lot on OLD. What’s considered a good answer, or at least a way to divert?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/05/20 01:49 AM

If he hated the chase, do you mean that he hated courting you and taking you out on proper dates? That should be the time when you’re vetting the man and he’s doing what he can to win your heart. Sounds like LVM. Its a red flag if a man complains about the chase, they should take pleasure in pursuing and doing nice things for you. The reason why FDS advises against approaching the man first is because it puts the woman into the position of being the pursuer.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/05/20 01:45 AM

You can find almost everything you need to know about a person just by searching their phone number. I use the website true people search, all you need is an address or phone number One of my friends went on a tinder date with a guy and found out a week later that he had just gotten married. This is why I’m starting away from OLD at the moment. Lots of bored men who want a distraction from their wives and children
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/05/20 08:21 PM
13

Men deff don’t like being approached! I asked some of my male cousins what they would think if their current girlfriends approached them first. They all looked at me like I had two heads. It sucks but the women who approach first are eventually called “crazy” or “clingy” by the men they pursue

I never ever initiate in the beginning and never take a man’s number if he gives it to me. Meaningless texting convos are a red flag to me and a waste of time. All conversations should be light, fun banter and then him initiating setting up a date. If they don’t give me exact details like a time if place, I ignore him. A couple of months into dating, I’ll reach out maybe once or twice, but this is more along the lines of if I’m asking him something important (how was the big project at work? How…

His reaction to you saying no is also a good indicator to whether or not he respects your boundaries. For example, if he asks you to do something you’re not comfortable with, tell him no thanks and watch what he says and does. If he respects you, he’ll be fine with you saying no and won’t try to change your mind. If he reacts badly, let’s say by throwing a tantrum, trying to manipulate you with a guilt trip or shame you, right then and there you should assume he’s an LVM. There are many differen…

Oh god, I live in NYC and I know exactly what you mean when it comes to weirdos I met one guy who gave me a creepy vibe the second we met in person but he seemed totally normal while texting. We met at some random shit hole bar (my own fault for agreeing to the place) and he had this creepy intense stare. Never smiled once. I asked him what he did for fun and he said, I kid you not, “I don’t have fun”. I thought he was joking but he kept a straight face Got up and left without saying a word

Well I actually have slept with a man who was supposedly “looking for a relationship” on the second date and guess what happened 🤡

Big yes on raising our standards for work/jobs! During a time in my life when my self esteem was low, I worked jobs that had zero alignment with my interests and were draining. My former coworkers were all low value and the culture was so toxic. After my huge awakening and discovering the basis for the FDS mindset, I ditched the LV jobs and discovered a career path that consistently makes me happy. My coworkers are mostly high value people as well

While I do agree with the context of this post, I disagree that the vetting process can be done effectively while going for a drink on the first date. Drink dates are low investment/risk for a man, which means that he’s not putting much energy or effort into meeting and impressing you. It’s an easy win win situation for him whether or not it works out and as a HVW, nothing should be easy about us. Drink or coffee dates are like an audition for a man to determine whether or not he likes us. Why s…

I grew up around lots of LV people due to my family situation. As a result, it was comfortable and familiar for me to surround myself with LVW as friends. A couple years ago in my mid 20’s I had this huge awakening that made me take a deep dive into processing childhood issues and reversing faulty programming. I was alone for a while until I started getting involved with groups that catered to my interests and connected me with women I could relate to. In a nutshell, I believe it was my ongoing …

My situation is similar and I can relate to having my HVW friends scattered all over the country/world. Even though we’re miles apart we make sure to check in with each other regularly. I love the last paragraph and especially agree with “you have to be ok with being alone”. I struggled for years while surround by a huge group of friends, but they were all LVW and pickmeishas. As soon as I dropped them, I slowly became more and more comfortable with just enjoying my own company, which in turn at…

5 minutes? I can’t even formulate a text in 10 minutes lol. With OLD you shouldn’t treat it like an in person conversation. Normal back and forth texting should be light and easy going, not an all day thing. To be honest, most people online right now are just bored, so don’t take things seriously if you don’t get a reply within 30 minutes. Don’t be so quick to respond to texts either because it comes off as if you have nothing better to do I treat it like this - They take 10 minutes to reply, I …

I’m going to the the minority here and say that I think things should have been handled differently. I know you had good intentions OP but it’s usually best to leave situations like this alone and just block your ex instead of telling him to stop. He was probably just looking for a reaction and you responding is all he needed. I’m pretty sure the woman brought this up to your ex and he likely spun things around to make it seem like you’re the “bad one” for trying to ruin their relationship. If h…

That thread read like narcissistic abuse on top of her already being a pickmeisha. Men like him will hook into anyone but they especially sink their teeth into someone who is weak-willed and lacking in self love. The part that really bothered me was the emotional blackmail, like how his daughter can’t stand the OP but yet he doesn’t do anything to remedy the situation. After I learned about narcissism, I run at the sight of men who refuse to take responsibility for their own actions or shift the…

That’s basically what I said lol. I don’t ask them outright but ask them about books, podcasts, etc. Just word it to how you see it fit the conversation

I used my birthday gift money to buy my ex an expensive tie that he never wore. He later cheated on me with a barely legal girl who he met while on vacation

I would never consider dating a man who holds onto grudges, let’s alone after 5 years! He sounds like a narcissist to be honest and probably keeps his ex’s things because he considers them trophies. Or he just wants to make you jealous with the presence of her things. Either way, he sounds horrible

Sadly normal people do end up becoming victims of sects and cults. There are tons of documentaries about people who have escaped once they “woke up” and realized their situations weren’t normal

I can FEEL Nicole’s joy in these pictures! I was browsing YouTube one day and started to watch a self help video. The person was talking about how leaving a narcissist is the same as leaving a cult. It’s all great in the beginning but spirals out of control in the end.

When I’m on a date with a guy, I’ll try and ask them what they do in terms of personal growth (reading, listen to podcasts). If they tell me that they don’t they need to change anything about themselves, I consider it a red flag

In person or through text - “I’m a really good cook, you have to try my...” “I have a puppy at home and want to check on him really quick because he’s sick, do you mind if we head over for a second?” “Let’s watch a movie. Don’t worry, my friend is staying at my place so we won’t be totally alone.” “Let’s meet at my place and then we can go from there.” On dating apps - “Nothing like a cozy night in with a home cooked meal and wine” “Cuddling under the blankets on a lazy Sunday” “Listening to the…

They ALWAYS come back in some form or another. If it’s not a text, it’s adding you on IG. You block, they WILL find you on Facebook. And you know what ladies? By the time he’s come back around, your mind has likely cleared up and you’ve gotten over him. You can now vet him logically and you realize he really ain’t shit

Yes, say it louder!! Seriously, there is nothing more insulting to my standards and intelligence than a man who tries to seduce me to his place with something trivial like a movie or cooking together Proper dates like fine dining, museums, and shopping are about the experience as a whole and what kind of value he can add to YOUR life. Dates like Starbucks = no value because you can literally go out and do that yourself Another one I want to add, if he brings up his pet (dog, cat, whatever) and a…

I don’t think it’s either of the two, I think he’s simply not interested and keeps accepting dates because she’s offering. FDS rule number 1 is never chase a man, and this is chasing. Leave him in the past because he’s not worth your energy or time

This is just as bad as when they “accidentally” send you a text that was meant for someone else. I had a guy send me a screenshot of an order confirmation for a designer belt I casually mentioned that I liked. I never replied and after a few minutes, he goes, “oops, wrong person!” I CANNOT!

Go to college and find a career that fulfills you (and pays the bills!) Don’t ever let a man film you while you have sex or send him nudes because it can end up in the hands of anyone Don’t fall for guilt trips or a “nice guy” who throws things back at you as if you own him something (but I paid for the date! I held the door open! I treated you respectfully!) Men are never just looking for friendship, period Please follow your dreams and pursue a life that you want for yourself. Leave your small…
