Cats are the best pets. They are independent and don't do what you tell em but once they love you the affection towards you is real but they only show this affection when they feel like it. Also they are a great judge of character. I always had cats since i was a toddler. All people who turned out to be assholes later on in my life, the cats spotted them instantly. Either avoiding them or straight up hiss at them from the start. If you can't trust your gut feeling trust your cat.

Cats this affectionate only leave you when they know they gonna die. As their remains would attract natural enemies who in the cats mind could also hurt her beloved ones.
