Just do it for the salsa. Whatever comes out of it is secondary. You might meet someone in a bar within a few years because she is impressed by your dancing skills, but do it for the dancing itself. Just have fun.

I'm a bit older and more accomplished than my classmates. They're bright people, only the current issue is somewhat of a letdown.

I am at the point where what you say makes intuitive sense but also from experience. I'll make sure to ingrain it. Any other words of wisdom you may have I'll be grateful for

Thank you, I have done so before. So I'll just need to wait it out, or can I do something more proactive in this regard?

I also got the most women when I used drugs on a daily or almost daily basis. Even rich preppy girls. It was fun to have multiple girls each week. Then I got sober and the well dried up a lot. I'm still handsome, and even more muscular than I was before. I'm still getting looks but less actual success. But serious me is too serious and rational apparently. Maybe I should do drugs again.

The logic still holds for them, though. If they are valued better elsewhere for whatever reason, why not go where you are wanted?

If you are acting like a weak crybaby, than people will get put off by that. It's disgusting, even though we all can have weak moments. It's up to you to navigate that and be strong. However, there are ways in which you can show emotional vulnerability. But it has to come from a position of strength. You need to show that you have conquered it, or that you can deal with it in grace. For example, I once heard a song which triggered some deep seated sorrow of losing my family. I was already in a t…

This is just a social media trope. Women are actually way more and more often horny than men. It's just not socially acceptable to say it out loud.

Another thing is that the internet has made information about what behaviour is abusive and toxic more available. There are many people who just don't find their family or so called friends acceptable anymore because they finally know they are being treated badly.

It's the same self selection bias that happens for all those posts: almost every relation posted is awful, with age gap (in both directions) or without. That isn't saying a lot unless it is a sincere sample of the total population and if it's somewhat higher in incidence compared to other groups. With the amount of creative writing going on and as it's a wanted trope on reddit, I'd say it's not a meaningful sample.

It's about a value proposition. Many think that if a woman won't do the same sexual acts with you as with others, she thinks less of you.

There are levels to this. Some people are at the level they need a kick up the butt, others need a gentler approach. I think RSDJulian had a nice presentation about this.

As a whole, men need to shame those simps into oblivion.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/24 11:23 AM

There is a lot of messaging in society that gets subconsciously integrated in the minds of men. That type of messaging is extremely damaging and needs to go. Then there are also a lot of systemic prejudices against men, such as in education. That further reduces opportunities for men and creates additional hurdles. The presence of individual responsibility does not negate a hostile environment.

The current business model incentivises the company to keep people as long as possible on the apps. It would be helpful if they had an incentive to actually pair up people. But at the moment the former seems to be more profitable.

One of the most rational takes in this sub. How do you account for local optima and different sociatal strata?

At a certain point irrational actors in this market create a loss/loss situation for everyone, though. But yeah, agree that people should do whatever floats their boat.

Do you want to raise me up as well? The last time I tried raising someone up she tried to put me down constantly. At the point where she thought I had raised her enough and she had put me down enough she left. My mistake obviously. But I have only met a minority of women that actually want to raise up their man. There are also those who want to fix someone, but that doesn't really count in that regard.

With an ex of mine I once had a weak moment where I showed grief about missing my family (they are no longer around). She actually thought it was amazing, meanwhile I felt ashamed about feeling weak. After I regained composure she basically screwed my dick off. Idk, some forms of showing weakness might be strength. Being a whiny bitch isn't.

It can be a rational strategy, though. If you expect to get away with it you can get a higher value out of cheating and the relationship than with only the relationship. If you have morals that dictate it is wrong, that changes the equation a bit. Otherwise it is rational.

That substantial effort of labor in their families is always mentioned, but never substantiated. If the post war upper class is largely a myth, wouldn't the 'substantial effort' thrown around also not be worthy of scrutiny? Not saying that it is not a lot of effort, but quite maybe men also did more than is being said.

You don't seem to have read my short paragraph on the situation of men.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/24 05:28 AM
5

No. I'll give you my graduate level napkin economics analysis of relationships. At this point, government and regulations have made it so that women don't need men as much as in the previous century. This is a process that is still progressing in favor of women. It is obvious that this ceteris paribus reduces the value of men. At the same time, women have increased in value compared to men. Women can be independent if they wish, can work and do whatever. This also diminishes the relative worth o…

You should've fucked her. Because you didn't, she thinks you're gay. It's something women do if you're not showing them the interest they expect from you. Some even do so if you do not approach them.

This will be eye-opening to you, but many taxes or laws aim towards specific social groups in an indirect manner, not direct. You just need to see beyond the first layer.

I don't know mate, I was plenty successful when I used drugs and alcohol. I Had upper class women paying everything for me and treated them somewhat like shit. I'm fairly attractive though. I am doing alright for rule 1 and 2 but dating is just depressing. I have my life in order and can do what I want. I just don't feel a partner would add anything, so why would I want to make an effort? The bar is on the floor goes both ways.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/24 05:58 PM

I've found that many go to trp because they're hurt by one of those thrashy, damaged women and then generalize that experience towards dating and women. It is easy to stay stuck in that vicious circle.

I'm honestly wondering if the Pareto principle would work on divorce stats. 20% of people are responsible for 80% of divorces as a rule of thumb, if it would.

There is a lot of "what things can I find that is wrong with this person", instead of "what do I like" or "what is the compatibility between us"? While ignoring red flags is always bad the first stance can be unconstructive and nitpicky, while the second stance promotes connection.

In my druggy life I had a woman leave me some cash after a date and a lay. She was quite well off, upper class. I felt like a manwhore but somehow quite masculine. 😂 During that period I also dated women who had significant higher income, but didn't really mind paying for everything.

Those thousands of years saw women have 10+ children in order to have them as a future retirement fund. Social welfare collectivized that. If you really think it will be that easy you will be in for a very rough awakening.

As someone who got raped at that age by someone in their 30/40s: the reality of it is fucking traumatic. It took years before I could feel some safety and intimacy during sex and it is still difficult sometimes.

/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/24 11:15 PM
