TBH I also feel like I don't have choice in whom I marry. I genuinely feel like I need to just settle for who can deal with me, because I'm aware that I'm crazy and difficult. Then you need to go back to therapy because this isn't healthy. You need to learn how to cope before looking for relationships. Nun mode would do wonders for you imo

Yeah but I was thinking more of prehistoric men and polyamory ones. Like, it would be hard to take care of more than one woman in terms of resources, time and energy. Of course if you're somekind of king and don't interact that much with your harem (except for wild orgies) it's not the same, but then you don't have the same emotional connection I guess ? I just don't think there is a "shoe that fits them all" relationship-wise.

Ahahah so much, the guys with harems must work really hard :P

Imo you're not creating a healthy relationship dynamic. Meditation really helps, but you have to practice. Be sure that your boyfriend is the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, like ask yourself DEEP DOWN. I know you know. Being married is not a healthy goal if it's a "no matter what or to whom" scenario.

Because nobody's perfect and sometimes you make compromises in relationships. It's good that you have a list of dealbreakers but if no one enters your mold of the perfect partner maybe you'll end up alone. I'm not saying that this shouldn't be a dealbreaker, I'm saying that OP might very well find what she's looking for in the future because she seems like a great person, sure it will be harder than if she wasn't a single mom, but it can also serve as a good filter down the line. I'd take an ama…

Following your logic, how do you explain men that don't want a polyamorous relationship ?

"The truth" is not a concept I personally apply to relationships and human interaction. Y'all sound ridiculous with your reddit "proofs" and insulting me because, of course, if someone disagrees with you she must be dumb and naive.

Beautifully written, thank you for this.

At least I'm not dumb enough to start disrespecting and hating people because someone said so on the internet. There's a reason r/TRP is being shut down by reddit admins and this sub is not.

Lol no, I'm a woman so I'm probably too dumb to realize that

Yeah that's what I thought. Any male TRPist is not worth my time either, and I wouldn't consider such disrespectful twats as "high value men".

Why should we trust you ? Do you have any evidence ?

I don't think it will happen because if the admins investigate just a little bit they will see that this isn't a hate sub... but idk...

Yes I agree with you, but if this sub is facing the reddit "cleanup" is because of that association imo

Because it seems associated with r/TRP

So cool ! Your advice is really valued :) I hope to have a ring too 3 years from now ahaha Gratefulness is so powerful, I also feel grateful to be with my boyfriend and he inspires me to be better and to care for him like I hadn't thought it was possible ! It's easier to do this for someone who inspires this behavior naturally. I wasn't even sure I wanted children but now the idea of having a little "him+me" inside of me is so beautiful it makes me want to make babies right away ahahah

Sorry for my late reply. I appreciate your words. I'm 26, spend my early 20s in a bad relationship and started wanting to change my life in 2016 because I was very unhappy, it is a long and difficult road but the results so far are pretty rewarding and I know there is a lot more work to do

Although this post doesn't show it (or no one read the first part lol) I actually do a good job at these things since I went to therapy 2 years ago. I count 7+7 or say the alphabet backwards to call my logical side because sometimes I just can't trust my emotions. That's why I didn't want to follow the STFU method, I think that communicating is the key to a good "headspace" in the relationship. I will keep in mind your remark to only use STFU if I can't speak sweetly. Thanks for the great insigh…

Look into meditation and mindfulness if you haven't yet, I think it does wonders and I can feel the difference when I meditate regularly and when I let myself go

I'm thankful for your comments and other's that are way more helpful to me and show support, which is something I come to this place for. Those first two comments I got were disappointing because they were teaching me nothing, and even feeling like they were attacking me. Before I went to bed (european timezone) I thought that I would not post again here if that was the result I was going to have. But this morning I saw all the other comments and remembered why I love this sub <3 P.S - I have a …

The first part of my OP was the analysis, with a some context to explain my relationship. I'm not sure women here need a break down on why saying the things I did was bad. I thought it was clear enough. I'm arguing on your "it was everything OP needs to hear" comment and now you're saying that I should have analyzed myself better for what ? For me or for the other users ?

I agree with you, you voiced many of my reservations around the STFU method. I will always think that communication is better, but I also know that I have these habits and STFU will be a good way to get rid of them. I spent a lot of time in my last relationship dominating and emasculating and of course we were both miserable (although my ex wasn't built to be a captain whatsoever). My point is that I'd like to be able to do everything you state in your comment but for now I think I need to STFU …

I think that a lot of this comments are also written by man. But you have an interesting take ! Although for me embracing my feminity is also sharing my softness and nurturing side with other people (not in the same way of course) especially in a forum where we'll all trying to be better.

Btw it was nothing I needed to hear because I could have done thay analysis myself and better. Basically it's like they didn't read the first part of my OP. The "close analysis incoming" was solely for their own pleasure

Basically this is what RPW teaches you to NOT do. I posted it because it was a moment of realization for me and thought I would share. Sometimes people here take an arrogant tone, I'm not sure why since we talk so much about feminity and softness.

I don't think you're missing something, I was cringing while I was writing it and I like to comment my writing. Some people here seem to like the arrogant tone, I'm glad it's not the majority because that one first comment was quite patronising and "teaching" me stuff I already know.. I wonder if it was written by a man xD

Yes I do realize all of it. I used to be the champion of this type if behavior in my last relationship. In one year of relationship I didn't snap like last night but I was also weary of the STFU method and didn't want to use it. My boyfriend is not one to hold grudges so I'm kind of glad this happened because I will finally STFU from now on.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
