Actually, last year the military approved women for combat jobs (like infantry and what have you) IIRC. Let me look for a source on that, though. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/10/us/pentagon-to-loosen-restrictions-on-women-in-combat.html?_r=0 My bad. They can basically do everything BUT serve in combat positions. But medics and radio operators often see combat as well.

It also does not specify the amount of time this took place in. It could have been a while, or it could have been a few seconds. Either way, it doesn't much matter. They found the guy and arrested him on two counts of assault in the third degree. You can sleep soundly at night knowing the Bear Hug Bandit won't get you.

Hey, I'm not saying I would do it. I'm just saying I can see how it could be an accident and how this could easily be blown way out of proportion. Either way, this is ridiculous and I hope this guy gets off okay. There are bigger problems MUPD should be working on. He didn't hurt anyone or seem to want to hurt anyone.

As per the clery release: "The female victim stated while walking to Ellis Library she passed an unknown individual who then turned, came up behind her, and wrapped his arms around her putting her in a “bear hug.”" At 9:35 in the morning. In one of the most crowded places on campus. I frequently see people who I think I know or who resemble people I know. It's an easy mistake.

I would like to point out that this happened where I go to school. Almost all of my friends find it endlessly hilarious and pitiful that anyone would report a hug and a stranger speaking to them. There's even a novelty twitter account for him. @BearHugBandit Looks like no more talking to strangers at MU. Or hugs in public. You'll be charged with 3rd degree assault!

In the U.S., only men are drafted. And you can't vote until you register. Oh, and if you don't you could be subject to enormous fines and possible jail time. Sound reasonable? The government thinks so.

I don't know about where you live, but in Missouri having sex with someone under the influence of alcohol is considered rape. Same way with the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

Comes from a story in Genesis. I think the guy's name was Odan. Don't quote me on that, though. Anyway, his brother died and, as was custom, married his wife (now widow), but when they had sex, he pulled out as he finished and spilled his seed on the ground, for which his punishment was (I believe; it's been a while since I read this) the earth swallowing him. tl;dr don't pull out or God will make the earth eat you

I got lucky and found a girl who thinks the modern feminist movement is stupid. She firmly believes that women need to stop taking advantage of the system because their movement for equality has actually given them preference.

Not this case. There was another one in that area that involved an adult woman coercing a 14-year-old into sex at knife point, though. In this case, the woman got the 15-year-old drunk and then seduced him.
