Yes there’s more sexual freedom now but if I remember rightly (didn’t check, sorry haha) we were discussing the merits or lack thereof of promiscuity- women are free to pursue it now without shame, but my point is it’s terrible for women- marriage is at its most undesirable ever- despite successful marriage being a great thing for both men and women, women are at their least happy point ever, women are emotionally/psychologically damaged by promiscuity, lots of women end up childless/single agai…

15+ is crazy, women are pretty much inevitably damaged by this point. If you look at the statistics for divorce rate, cheating, marital happiness etc. then once double digits are reached it no longer makes much of a difference- outside of the severe psychological problems that women begin to get as they move closer to and beyond 100 (I know a lot less about the effects of promiscuity on men unfortunately- presumably because it is less dangerous and therefore less worthy of attention)

I’m aware that prostitutes have way higher numbers but I mean only they would have reached that number- even if they’d then surpass it- in generations past (excluding sex addicts of course, whose circumstances are often beyond their control and usually deserve a lot of compassion IMO). Right up until the 70s the number of women in the US who had had only 1 sexual partner in their lifetime was in the clear majority, it was only in the 80s that this declining trend ended. Promiscuity on the curren…

Well he isn’t a troll, he makes valid arguments supported by factual evidence and has conversations about philosophy/science. He doesn’t court controversy in any way. And define Alt-Right? He seems to be on the right-wing but I’m not too sure of his political positions generally speaking

Yes you may not mind but that doesn’t preclude it from causing serious harm to your long term relationships further down the line. You may ‘not mind’ asbestos but that doesn’t stop it from harming you. Also isn’t ‘prudish’ quite a judgmental term given that the point of your argument seems to be that you’re open-minded?

Their capacity to be successful in a long-term relationship essentially. Promiscuous women sabotage the stability of their later relationships. Which is pretty sad IMO

Because women who have sex casually are being used, they are frittering away a valuable resource- if they don’t realise they’re being exploited then it’s even more sad. They are destroying their futures bit by bit for hollow pleasure now, can women like that honestly say they’re happy? (I know a few promiscuous women, the answer is ‘no’ in every case. They also tend to be quite damaged unfortunately)

Whores are pathetic, imagine letting that many people exploit you

There is such a thing as lying by omission you know, if a girl has slept with 100 people she should know that’s a pretty big deal and she should probably mention it. But admittedly, to not even ask once a guy would probably not care so lying by omission would seem to be a moot point here

There’s strong evidence to suggest that promiscuous women damage their ability to pair-bond/emotionally connect with sexual partners (as I mentioned in a comment about). I can go rooting about for info on this but not unless people want as it’ll be time consuming. And Stefan Molyneux has great (and statistically robust) videos on this, but bear in mind he’s a controversial figure

Women are not designed for promiscuity, this is more the result of societal decay/bad influences. By engaging in repeated casual sex they damage their innate ability to emotionally connect with their partners to the point where it causes them immense trouble in their relationships. Along the way they also seem to acquire unrealistically high expectations of their partner and toxic attitudes towards relationships. I can try and find some information if you’d like? Stefan Molyneux makes great vide…

I’d be very surprised at any man who genuinely doesn’t mind a 15+ n count, that’s atrociously high. In generations past only prostitutes would have tended to reach that number

The sexual situation (/primal sex) you’ve described is more or less irrelevant when you consider that what men actually dislike about promiscuous women is that they’re unfit for relationships anyway, they literally trigger a strong disgust reaction in most men. The girl you’ve described would be desirable to men as a pump and dump! The idea that complete whores (sorry to be frank) are relationship material is completely wrong, unless the man is especially desperate (Edit: and regarding the hypoc…

It’s ‘wrong’ in that it precipitates a lot of problems in the relationship that are caused solely by the promiscuous woman. The higher a woman’s n-count, the more likely she is to cheat, the more likely she is to be unhappy/have unrealistic or high expectations, the more likely she is to initiate divorce and the less likely she is to be happy. This isn’t a moral judgment on the part of her male partner so much as it is ‘wrong’ in the sense that he’s been handed a tough situation, essentially a t…

Not moving the goalposts at all. And yes, low value men will go for single mothers. More likely to commit domestic violence, more likely to abuse the kids, more likely to be a deadbeat etc.

I understand that there are success stories but there are so many fathers who are forced out of their own families by cruel mothers (remember that women initiate around 80% of divorces) and this can never be a balanced equation, the male suicide rate is so damn high for a reason
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/20 09:43 PM

The thankless task part is less important than the massive potential for abuse that step-parents bring, statistically speaking step-dads are far, far more likely to abuse children than biological fathers- that is an objective fact

Yes flexibility around both men and women working is probably helpful in the current climate but it just isn’t the ideal to have so many women being so focussed on career, it’s causing an epidemic of loneliness/childlessness. IMO a lot of women have basically been conned into sacrificing a family for the sake of being a more productive ‘worker unit’, essentially. Glad to hear it’s worked for you though man, but working culture seems to heavily disbenefit women’s happiness/wellbeing nowadays

I mean blended families tend to be a disaster as well to be honest. My recommendation would be to stop undermining marriage and to have people seriously consider whether their relationship is sufficiently committed before having children, but this won’t happen anytime soon
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/20 09:30 AM

Yes I put that whole part across badly to be honest, it was something I just quickly thought of after my main comment. But a man would have to be a real deadbeat to be content with only subsisting off his wife’s income, with being a househusband/stay at home dad quite an emasculating role too. Women are going to find this quite unattractive, surely?

Adoption’s really ethical though, just generally a kind thing to do. Wading into somebody else’s situation and taking responsibility for a kid who may or may not have been taken away from his father in unfair circumstances is a totally different thing

The point is that they’re the exception to the rule. Step-parents are way, way more likely to abuse children, and outside of this they still often damage the environment the child grows up in (how is a child supposed to fully develop in a house they share with a stranger who doesn’t like them? As was the case with all of my friends who had stepdads- including one whose brother was literally attacked/beaten by his stepdad). Furthermore, children are often taken from their loving, supportive dads …

Oh I completely agree, much like tattoos single motherhood is just an inherent red flag. Hard to explain that to someone who’s dead against the idea of not being open-minded to a fault though

A child isn’t a car, that’s the point of the analogy. Being a stepdad is awkward, expensive and unsatisfying. You can never truly have a father/child relationship as you would with biological children because there is a distance that is either imposed by the presence of the kid’s real dad, the stepdad’s lack of real affection, the child’s lack of affection or simply failing to negotiate the challenges of the relationship. Managing to avoid all of these factors is incredibly rare. And it begs the…

Would you wash your neighbour’s car? Would you do it for free? While they insult you? That’s more or less what single fatherhood is

I can’t tell you how off-putting being a single mother is, it doesn’t matter how hard you try to spin/rationalise it- single mothers are going to get very low quality men compared to what they would have been capable of getting if they weren’t. Who wants to raise someone else’s children rather than have their own? What a thankless task Edit: Also, literally no man cares if a woman has a career. That isn’t what women are for. Again, this is only something that will draw very low quality men.

This is a really interesting and helpful explanation OP (although quite complicated as has been pointed out, though that’s just because of the concepts at play)- I’m currently attracted to a possible Gale Shapely Light (who I know is strongly attracted to me) and you’ve set some of the important ideas out perfectly! For what it’s worth, how would you personally go about verifying whether a woman has a low body count?

A gangbang will destroy a woman’s ability to pair bond thus ruining her potential to form intimate relationships. It isn’t ‘in the past’, it’s constantly present. Plus it’s fucking disgusting, extreme example but would you marry a murderer? How about a murderer who’s done his time? Both are extremely unpalatable to anyone who isn’t disgusting, same as a girl who’s done a gangbang

Yes there is, it’s fucking disgusting and means that’s she’s no longer a potential wife because she’s a whore- deal with it

Yes likewise it was nice, and I think most people will come round to that way of thinking rather inevitably over the course of their life but unfortunately once you miss the chance to have kids you can’t take it back :(

IMO every right-minded person will want to settle down and have children to a certain extent, I know that probably sounds terrible and chauvinistic to you but I get the impression that most women who ‘make the choice’ not to have children (often short-sighted/influenced by media or not wanting to back out of already made life decisions) deeply and bitterly regret it later. The notion of settling down and having children is also pretty incompatible with a lot of the modern solutions/nostrums that…

Haha sorry I was so rude earlier, genuinely can’t remember why but it was uncalled for. If a woman is promiscuous it destroys her natural ability for pair-bonding, this means that she’ll struggle in forming relationships for the rest of her life and causes higher levels of unhappiness and higher likelihood of divorce- this is the main downside of promiscuity in females apart from obvious stuff like permissiveness towards cheating and spiritual decay.

It’s very surprising but true that until the 1980s in the US around 30-40% of women had one sexual partner: their husband or the man who they would then go on to marry anyway. The baby boomers had a huge cultural impact and fashions, social trends and norms, level of drug-taking etc. did all change- but only 5% or so of their generation were hippies and many people still remained socially conservative. I’ll try to find the study (it was a big, reliable study about various decades) on sexual part…

Yeah but I think what you come to realise is that pleasure is temporary and happiness is what you should strive for, it’s just sad that family has been sacrificed for the sake of drug-taking and promiscuity, fun though they may be

Yeah I’m 24 so I think I’m right at the tail end of being a Millennial. Even though it’s not a description of me I’m appalled that my generation is the ‘snowflake’ (controversial word) group who stifle debate, shut down things they don’t agree with and give credence to any ridiculous idea in the name of ‘tolerance’ or ‘diversity’, I hope that Gen Z push back against that sort of thing cos it’s really damaging society
/r/TheRedPill30/07/19 11:57 AM

Hmm yeah, at the risk of sounding chauvinistic though I think the worst change is how women are now encouraged/expected to behave, the fact that even extreme promiscuity is now seen as normal means that committed relationships have been completely undermined and are very hard to pull off. It isn’t normal, even up until the 80s many women only had one sexual partner- the many they had married or would marry. And then when this permissive culture begins to take its toll on a long-term relationship…

Baby Boomers: Rejected the values of their World War 2 parents- terrible idea in retrospect. (Hippies, anti-Vietnam War etc.) Gen X: Children of the baby boomers. Superficially edgier but more in common with traditional values than we are today. Think Nine Inch Nails and Fight Club. Gen Y: Also known an Millennials, born roughly between 1980-2000, far more disillusioned with the world and influenced more by the internet. Gen Z/Zoomers: As far as I know their sort of social trends aren’t fully un…
