Grown ApartUpdate: After i posted this i had to confront her. I broke down crying and explaining how i feel, and that she needed to make choices that showed she not only cared about her own well being, but our marriage. 4 months later and the only thing she has been consistently doing is therapy (which i cannot stress how proud i am of her) and sleeping all day. Her sleeping has caused so many snowball effects. I cannot work a normal day because i turn into single parent dad with her asleep. She wont help … | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/05/24 02:34 PM

Grown ApartThere's no such thing as a woman of your dreams unfortunatly, at least not in my income level lol the hardest thing for me is my daughter. I spend a few hours a day with her during the week (i work 2 jobs so my time is limited) but on weekends it's just me. I don't expect her to change, and I've put a bit of distance between my wife at the moment because I'm tired of the mental/emotional gymnastics everyday | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/02/24 06:53 PM
Grown ApartThat's actually what i started working on last night. I made a "Self Improvement" list of things i want/need to get better at. Some are simple like biweekly therapy instead of monthly, consistent gym routine, and others like loving myself, remembering my feelings/voice count, nothing is that bad/had faith it will be ok, and a few others. Was a big help today as I have really focused on achieving each one. I'll check out the book too, any idea's at this point are welcomed ones | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/02/24 06:18 PM
Grown ApartThat is a real fear of mine, even if she does actually go, how committed is she to get better? over the last 2 years I've asked and asked only to get told NO each time, and the more I do ask the more angry the NO gets. Between friends, family, therapy, and internet strangers i do believe i know what i need to do. She had a bad childhood, one she still is traumatized by, which I've tried to help, but without her WANTING it, it will never happen. I appreciate your comment as i think it hits home f… | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/02/24 04:42 PM
What should I do?I can understand not wanting to contribute to them and wanting your own, however i'd say just leave them and get your name removed or change your deductions so that it wont be taken out any longer | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/02/24 03:30 PM
Grown ApartI have therapy monday, we've been talking about my marriage for awhile. She told me to set boundaries and i have. She does help my daughter with school (getting ready, lunch, on/off the bus) but that's about as much effort as i get these days. | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/02/24 03:24 PM
Grown ApartI want her to go individually as her mental health is terrible, I offered marriage counseling too but was told no. She has some good days, but mostly just pissed, depressed, or asleep | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/02/24 03:21 PM
