That's the point though isn't it?? Complaining about men wanting a woman to do domestic servitude and then wanting a male to pay for stuff. That's why they want a woman to do domestic servitude. Jesus Christ. A selfish partner is going to be selfish whether they do 50/50 or not. A man can still be selfish and pay for stuff and be romantic. You have to assess each individual man.

5-7 years older a lot of women still date and end up marrying. Makes up about 20% of those who end up marrying.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 03:11 PM

trying to end double standards because men do the same and use this as an argument for their treatment of women. they have a right to do so when it is a double standard. you seem to be replying to justify yourself. do whatever you want. it has no baring on me.

You can have whatever standards you want. You're just having double standards to the opposite sex. The same can be said of a man who wants a virgin because women who sleep around less are more likely to be loyal. You're entitled to your own standards, but you can't also be upset when the hypocrisy is pointed out. You're just arguing why you believe in double standards.

yep, but masculine traits on a woman are also treated the same. this just proves that traditionally people liked men to have masculine traits and women to have feminine traits.

This is true and something to consider. However, anyone woman that isn't willing to split the date with you may not be someone you want to pursue anyway unless you're just looking for sex or want a more traditional woman. Also, things will never be equal. It's just pointing out the hypocrisy of both genders. Things will slowly change, but not enough for our generation.

Not every man is like that. A man paying is traditional. I'm not sure why you're calling them pseudo-traditionalists.

Explain to me what men gain in "modern" gender-relations.... what, easier-to-obtain casual sex from women during their hoe-phase? Who gives a shit. children and watching them grow up, sex readily available, companionship, someone to share bills with.

You can just date someone 5-7 years older.

That's true. Most of the men I've been interested in a relationship don't engage in casual sex. I even asked one man and he turned me down because he said he was in love with me.

Meanwhile, the unreasonable woman’s traditional expectation for men is that she… doesn’t have to be a virgin for a man-slut, and doesn’t want to do all the housework and childcare like a single mother. No, the traditional role is expecting the man to pay for everything while keeping money from her career herself. Expecting the man to court her and keep up romance without doing anything herself.

For the average family, I still don't think they can afford it. $70k in most cities is not that much.

until sex differences are somehow abolished This will never happen. Someone will always have something different between their legs and someone will always have to give birth. The best we can do is point out hypocrisy to those willing to acknowledge it and move forward. Nothing will ever be equal for both genders. Someone is always going to have to give something more.

I don't judge my partners based on their willingness to pay for a first date. Though, most men have offered because I tend to date more traditional men, and I've appreciated them paying when they turned down my offer to split. But, I always offer to pay and don't feel that they "should" because this comes with them expecting tradition on their part. It is about traditionalism, though. We can flip this. If a woman goes 50/50 do you really think they are going to be a generous, loving and committe…

Yes, but men who can actually afford to do this are becoming less and less because of economical reasons. The average woman does not have the luxury to stay home.

I never said it was exclusive to just men. Just the most common ones I see.

I would say there is a difference in wanting and reality. The reality is the average man cannot afford to let his wife stay at home. She's forced to work.

OP drawing comparison to men paying for a date as an oppression as great as a lifetime of domestic servitude and being submissive to males who aren't qualified to lead even their own lives. I draw this conclusion because this is what is expected of women traditionally. So, if a man is doing his part on traditionalism, paying for a majority of a relationship, why shouldn't he expect the woman to do her part? Because I won't show up if I know he won't and If he springs it on me at dinner, I'll hap…

There is absolutely nothing wrong with people going their own way because they can’t realistically get what they want. Sure, but most people just come here and argue about the other gender without any sort of realization into the other person's POV or maybe they just don't care.

Except some people are going their own way because they're fed up with the current dating market either because they can't find anyone attractive, want someone to do traditionalism while they keep modernity, or don't even get a chance because no one finds them attractive.

In my most recent experience she was very conservative and independent. She wanted to have an equitable relationship but nothing she did lended itself to such a thing. How the heck is that a thing? usually it's the opposite. So she wanted traditionalism from you, but wanted to keep the modernity herself. That's exactly what I'm talking about.

Yes, but if you're expecting a man to pay for a majority of dates in a relationship and split the housework, it's the other end of the spectrum. They are doing the traditional part, but you aren't doing yours. That's all I'm saying.

You guys keep trying to generalize these things, when there are so many different decisions, circumstances and priorities involved I'm not a man. I'm pointing out that women can get money for an arrangement far more than a man, so there is something beneficial in it for women depending on the class. The main reason traditionalism is reduced is because it was based on lack of choice for one group of people; give them the choice and things become more complicated, as you would expect Of course, tr…

Personally, as a woman that doesn’t fully fit the trad role and can get traditionally minded men, your standards are not problematic in the SMP as long as your dating pool fits them. If you are getting (and want) traditionally minded men, i.e. the men pay for everything, while not being traditional yourself, someone will have to settle later on. And, it will depend on if it's you or your partner.

IRL, no one I've known has gotten pumped and dumped from Tinder nor at college. I have four friends who all met their boyfriends, now husbands, from Tinder. Mostly it's just complaining men want sex and move on, but I've never actually been around friends that participate in casual sex either.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/21 12:41 PM

No I'm just saying it's not a majority of women wanting to be in a traditional relationships. Some may want to be trophy wives, but that's not really the same as a housewife.

I tend to stick to casual sex because I have a high see drive but I would much rather be in a traditional relationship. I wonder if the women who want a traditional relationship may be turned off at the idea of casual sex or sex early in a relationship and that's why it may be hard for you to find someone more traditional.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/21 03:48 AM

But the real question is if you have a history of partying and hard drugs and wild nights then why do you expect me to want traditional relationships? Most of the women I come across that want or are this tend to be tradcon Christian women.

/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/21 01:55 AM
2

Just don't date entitled women. It's a problem everywhere nowadays. People want both tradition and modernity, but only when it benefits them. Wanting men to be providers or wanting women to do majority housework. You either go back to the system or adapt. That, or find someone who is willing to do both which can be done, but I think many end up getting jaded and coming to forums like this to post about their divorces.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/21 01:48 AM

It depends entirely if these women are traditional or not. I would say that a man being unwilling to pay for at least the first date can be a turn off since I am more traditional. It depends on what kind of woman you are wanting to attract and what kind of relationship you want. You probably won't find a more traditional woman by not taking on the masculine role. I disagree with the premise that men should be expected to pay if a woman is not fulfilling a traditional role in a relationship, it d…

You're making it sound like a business deal more than trying to seek a relationship. You'd be better off hiring a prostitute.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/21 01:32 AM

no, you'll just look like the guy that is paying for woman to be around you which is not something you wanna be. It will lower your SMV and RMV way down if people find out if she's an escort (and/or prostitute). If you're below average, they're going to be like "why is she with him?" which will make them think she's an escort, you're rich, or both. I would honestly laugh if I found some man hired an escort because he thought it would make it more appealing to women.

Yeah, I lean more conservative. My goal is to be a housewife/mom. No shame. I love children, cooking, cleaning, organizing, decorating, etc. I do have a backup degree and career if anything does head south. I'm surprised at how many men openly admit to wanting a housewife. It's really nice to have that option. I've talked about it with many men I've dated seriously.

I don't understand why it's such a big deal for a guy to pay for one date or two, especially if you're seeking a more traditional relationship. I tend to be attracted to men who are providers. I have no idea why. I just find it hotter when a guy takes the bill and says, "Ladies never pay for a date." It's just extremely sexy. It makes me feel taken care of and protected. It's like the masculine role. This may be why I attract madonna (innocent, nurturing, caring, nice, sensitive, etc) wanting ty…

I've been rated anywhere from 3-8 with an average rating of about 6 on r/Rateme. I probably date men from 3-7, leaning more towards 4-5 men with good jobs and tall (over 6ft). I like thicker men with beards, dad bods, and intelligent men who talk with me about random stuff. I honestly hate muscular dudes unless they have a little bit of a dad bod/loose musculature.

Women don't fall in love the same way men do. If they're genuinely nice guys, they might stand a chance. I found this to be accurate, at least in regards to what I'm looking for. I've dated some pretty not great looking dudes. They were more well off though.

So when I say something like "Men at my level of success are probably going to cheat on you. You can either accept that, and we can plan around it and discuss it openly so it's not cheating and have a great relationship, or it will happen behind your back with the next guy who's less honest than me and you'll break up eventually" the response I get is almost 100% of the time a huge appreciation for my candidness and an excitement to move forward into something more serious. I think it's somewhat reasonable POV. Have a game going into dating like the rest of your life and just date as many men as you can until you find one you like. For the woman in the article, it was 138 dates before meeting her husband. I don't know how people don't get exhausted from meeting and talking with people for an entire year or two. What is the logic behind this argument? Wouldn't it be more maladaptive given the current circumstances to put off having children and possibly even relationships? Wouldn't a wise parent want to delay pregnancy until they are financially stable and in a good relationship?

I don't agree with this at all. No relationship will ever be truly equal. That's living in an idealistic world. Someone is always going to put forth more effort. Relationships can not be equal and still work out well in the long term.

People are more tolerant of differences especially in strangers and acquaintances. This doesn't necessarily translate to romantic or sexual partners. I think people can be more knowledgeable and that can lead to acceptance, but I don't think as a whole we are more accepting from a romantic/dating front. If anything, we're more picky with the paradox of choice.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 08:17 AM

I'm not comparing different statistics from different studies like the guy's linked comment is. The ones I linked are from government sources and you can read the complete study. Objectively, you would think that the LTR would be more attractive than the FWB as the FWB would have more options to choose from and likely would not pick the average guy. Thus the average guy would be fucking "down." So, it's a determination of if you want to sleep with the hotter woman with strings attached or the less hot women if you can attain one at all as an average male.

What’s bad about a doctor or a lawyer wanting to date someone who is also a doctor or a lawyer? How is wanting to date a man who makes a similar amount of money as you a high standard? There is nothing wrong with having that standard, it's just nearly impossible to find someone who meets it. Men can go to other countries to find hot women if they really want to. The case count for men reporting rape in the preceding 12 months was too small to produce a statistically reliable prevalence estimate."

it's a social benefit if you get social benefits from it! If you are taken more seriously in conversation, it's a social benefit. Same with women. A shorter man is still taller than a shorter woman. Men are physically taller and stronger than women. Therefore, they are more likely to be taken seriously because of their stature than women. In the context of conversation, they are more likely to be taken seriously because they are bigger and stronger. It's that simple.

Women peak in their looks at some point in their 20's (normally) and then the decline begins. Boobs begin the sag, metabolism goes, wrinkles appear, etc. If that's what the wall is, then both sexes reach the wall at some point.

Men are more likely to be taking seriously because of their stature too, it's not just their assertiveness. You tend to take seriously those who are bigger than you. I don't think it's hard to find a man to wipe his ass or pay the bill. The women I tend to come across want a man who makes similar to them. I have two cousins who are lawyers, both of them want a lawyer or doctor as they consider that their equal. That's what I mean when I'm talking about high standards. Most women don't want to date a man that makes half of what they do.

In theory, majority would have to be betas for other men to be alphas. If you're all alphas, then you're actually betas.

Hm, I care about many people he has slept with, but the more important one is what his intentions were with each person he slept with. A few casual hookups in college? No biggie. Casual hookups all through out his 20s and 30s with no LTRs? Big red flag. Fun trips to Thailand and sleeping with multiple women? Red flag. You can get the girls, you just can't or don't want to keep them. Big difference. Too much casual sex is just gross and careless imo.

from my understanding, blue pilled men tend to be more modern.

I prefer red pilled men as long as they aren't into plate spinning. I want a traditional man for marriage.

In the US? What are the social benefits of being a man? Taken more seriously because men tend to naturally be more assertive Less likely to get sexually harassed/raped That's all I can think of, seriously. I'm an obese women and I still get catcalled all the time. It's annoying. Can't go outside and walk out the street without someone wanting to talk to you. I went a vaca with one of my guy friends. We were talking about how I wish he could be female just for one day to experience what it's like…

What kind of age difference are you talking about here for what these men are going after? I think 10 years younger is realistic, but anything 15+ is uncommon to say the least especially in long-term relationships.

I have never seen a woman in her 30s have trouble finding someone if she wanted. It's just a majority of them have really high standards that virtually no man can meet. And, if he can meet them, he can just date someone 5-10 years younger than him. The idea of the wall is that the dating market becomes more equal. Like women go from 100 to 50 options and men go from 20 to 50 options. It's more leveled out. A lot of people find their spouses in their mid-late 20s and mid-late 30s. I don't think i…

Because older men typically have more money and more attractive overall then they were in their younger years I think this is true within reason. About 1-2% of women are willing to date a man more than 15 years older than her. 1-14 years makes up a majority of long-term relationships not just hookups. After 10 years until 14 years, it's about 5%. So women like older men, but not too much older within 1-10 years older. A small minority, about 7%, actually end up with men who are much older than t…
