Exactly. They're not about to tell their family (most likely) that they had a sexless marriage, nor their coworkers, not anyone who isn't their closest of close friends.

The "we grew apart" line is a socially convenient way to explain a divorce to family and friends. It often functions as cover for the real reasons. Often, the real reasons are much darker than that: affairs, abuse of all forms, weaponizing sex, and poor communication.

I felt like myself again within about a month after my divorce, even though we'd been married for 10 years and together a bit longer than that.
