That being said, I am aware that some of the people on that sub were drawn in because they had been raped or traumatized in some way and I would want people like that to have a support community. It seems like nearly all TERFs have this in common.

It isn’t a great look though. Like at what point are we objectifying their tits and at what point are they doing it.

Non consensual sex which both people agreed to and both people are responsible for. I’m not sure what you think consensual is but it’s definitely not the dictionary definition of the word.

Sorry I skimmed through your rambling comment. What exactly is your point then, both parties are fully responsible for their own behaviour so.... it’s just plain old sex? Seems like a very simple point to make with 500 or so words.

So the guy is responsible for drinking so much that he didn’t realise how drunk the girl was, but she’s not responsible for drinking so much that she makes decisions she wouldn’t make sober?

It’s also just a general joke about getting rode so hard you can’t walk.

The factor you guys aren’t considering is that the guy could be equally as drunk or just quite drunk in general. At what “drunk differential” is it creepy? And realistically, it’s never creepier when the guy is drunker than the girl, despite it happening a lot. Why?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/19 10:36 PM

Agreed, but the guy above was specifically taking issue with the “well keep it in your pants if you don’t want that risk” argument which comes off as a double standard since the same people saying that would probably balk at someone saying something similar regarding women and abortions. Sure some women might be careless and depend too much on abortions, and some men are careless and got a girl pregnant through their own fault, but essentially slut shaming either men or women based on that minor…

I just don’t believe that the majority of men are trying to fuck a random girl bareback. It sucks that those people exists but there’s plenty of girls that insist on bareback too, it shouldn’t affect their entire gender’s rights relating to reproduction either.

Why not just have women go on steroids right now to get rid of sexual differences in strength? I’d imagine any genetic engineering would essentially be a “natural” way of doing the same thing.

Relax buddy, it's just a conversation. No need to get offended at innocuous words. He should've said "nowadays" then. Although I think that could've easily been inferred. He also didn't say he's never seen it, just that it's rare.

The topic at hand is literally modern culture and particularly about a recent phenomena. Watch a movie from the 90s and you’ll see rampant homophobia too, doesn’t mean it flies today. I’m sure human nature hasn’t entirely changed in the last 100 years but I don’t see how that relates to this conversation. Edit: you seem to have gone way off track, I was disputing you saying that movies pre-2000s prove that Hollywood depictions of women aren’t overly protective.

The white man's burden is the idea that white men should hoard resources because they can best redistribute them for the betterment of all. Her logic here seems similar to me. To immediately conclude that a lopsided distribution of resources is because women are just better seems sexist to me. Although I don't really believe this resource distribution thing is as much of a problem as people here make out, I just really don't like her way of thinking.

That’s why so many funds are supposedly given to women, they literally care for the majority of our future. Women’s welfare is children’s welfare. Men’s welfare is men’s welfare. Where do you think the average billionaire is going to invest if he wants to create meaningful change? This reads like the white man's burden... You're reaction to sexist men on the internet is to take white supremacist rhetoric and apply it to women. This thread shows the worst of both women and men imo.

I think the Red Pill is amoral as a concept. I think the community did in fact hate women and it was something acknowledged in the Red Pill itself. The "anger phase" is when people get drawn to the Red Pill. I believe MGTOW has a lot of anger phase people. I have problems with the Red Pill because of it's community but consider it far superior to MGTOW still because the Red Pill can help you get past the anger phase, whereas MGTOW encourages people to wallow in it.

You don't think that's hate? It's a sub dedicated to posting memes about why you shouldn't have any relationship with an entire gender. The answer to "This is why you should not get married or cohabitate:" is "all women are awful". Why wouldn't you hate a gender if they were all so shit? How is it not a hate sub if it's just for pointing out the reasons that you dislike them? If you didn't dislike women and you were heterosexual, why avoid any relationship whatsoever with them? Hate is just inte…

Power lifters might do less than 10 but I don't believe there's a single pro bodybuilder that does any less than 20 a week. Maybe physique competitors or natty bodybuilders but no one like Phil Heath or Kai Greene. 10 hours total exercise isn't much for being in great shape imo. 5 hours lifting and 5 hours of sports/cardio a week would do it. I think while it is harder to stay in shape as you get older, a lot of the increased difficulty stems from people naturally doing an equivalent of a few ho…

look at Harrison Ford. The man is real old but, he's still a handsome bastard. Imo wealth is the main thing that decides how good looking someone is as they age Middle aged men are overwhelmingly flabby or fat, Chad or not. Maybe in a society without an obesity epidemic women would hit the wall at a disproportionately higher rate than men but imo, while men probably do age a bit better, people don't take good enough care of themselves to make use of that advantage.

In Europe for young adults (20 - 30) the gender gap has pretty much closed and in some places reveresed slightly. The advantage of higher income might not be around for current young men.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/19 11:50 PM

They might have to put in ~10 hours of exercise a week to be in great shape, more than the 0 hours they had to put in when they were 20 but still very doable. And honestly it applies to men too, there's so many flabby 30 year old guys that used to be fit out there.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/19 11:47 PM

I suppose "the wall" is a person by person thing. Theres plenty of hot 40 year old cougars and plenty of balding, fat ex-Chads. Imo wealth is the main thing that decides how good looking someone is as they age, not gender. It's a common theme in MGTOW/TRP that there's an element of truth to it but it's extrapolated to a wide generalisation that only ever applies to women, despite being to some extent applicable to men.

Tbh I'm not sure I get how it's a statement for women, can you elaborate? she's sort of poking fun at mysoginy and the expectations that are set on women, both to be pure and good and also to put out and act like porn stars and just the thirstiness and sense of entitlement from men in general. I think the purity thing is already subverted since she's essentially a softcore porn model. And she is acting like a porn star so I'm sure how she's making fun of that expectation. Not sure I understand t…

It wasn't a specific topic that people could rally around. Douche bag YouTuber #347 making money off kids isn't something that will get people riled up, softcore pornstar selling bathwater is. I think you really overestimate Logan Paul's fame outside of young teenagers. I'm in my early 20s and literally no one I know had heard of him and only a few knew of him before his boxing fight with that other guy. And no one was defending him because no one was really attacking him.

Honestly, I get the impression that people say good on Belle Delphine mainly as a response of the backlash against her. The only reason people were so upset is because it was way too easy for her to make that money and she could only make it like that because she's a woman. People are saying good on her because who cares if it's a gender specific way of making money and who cares if it's easy? It feels like low-key slut shaming. It's the same story for a lot of things of this nature. Like saying…

I disagree. If there is one subject that MGTOW is walks on eggshells with, it is hatred. "We do not hate women" is often posted, and anyone mentioning hate will often get downvoted as a result. Overtly showing your bad side is just stupid, though. Imo this doesn't prove anything, you get downvoted in r/frenworld and subs like it for being too obviously racist. MGTOW is nowhere near as bad as them but it shows that communities self curate and prevent users from blatantly acting out the bad traits…

They are allowed. Many of them were recently divorced or cheated on, and need a place to vent. Very few hateful rants get upvoted, though. Sure they're allowed but people are also allowed to look at it as bitter and distasteful. There's plenty of women on the opposite end that hate on men and claim they're allowed to because of a negative experience, I think they're just as hateful as MGTOWers. You can understand where someone's coming from without agreeing with their conclusion. Rants don't get…

There's some good posts there and the top comments can often be reasonable but a very high percentage of people are just expressing general anger at women. Comments like "women don't realise degrees don't help them make sandwiches" get pretty highly upvoted. Even r/Feminism has it to a degree where they hate on the other gender needlessly but it's not nearly as overt as r/MGTOW. This isn't just a case of all internet communities having a bad minority. I hate the "us Vs them" attitude of you people. We can admit both genders have problems while also acknowledging women's issues are more pertinent at the moment. Ignoring that makes you no better than the man-hating feminists that refuse to acknowledge men have any issues imo. There's no issue men face that's as serious as abortion or sexual assault against women. It just makes sense that they get more focus as a result. Male rights is less of an issue overall and realistically the MRA communities are very anti-woman. I think people say r/MensLib is actually good but they're a rare case. Issues like abortion or sexual assault are pertinent in most women's lives. Conversely, favouritism in family courts or domestic violence cases only affect some men. That doesn't make them less important or anything, just not as much of a focus for the general public. Some of it is also just inertia from when women were genuinel…

The only time I mentioned the word oppression was when referencing the English occupation and colonisation of Ireland. Do you only have room in your brain for like 5 different thoughts that you just spout off randomly regardless of the context? "Mc" or "Mac" is a Scottish thing by the way.

Hahahahaha Jesus Christ.... I'm a straight white male Irish person (in the country of Ireland). I couldn't care less about the transatlantic slave trade, where did you pull that from? I'm well aware of the Arab slave trade since whole towns were enslaved here by the Moors back in the day. I'm also well aware of the hundreds of years of English oppression we faced, including a brief period where thousands of Irish were enslaved and sent to the Americas. Humans can be shitty, I don't care. You're …

Particularly straight white male rights bro. Like issues that only affect straight white males. You're talking about stuff that affects all males. I said it as an extreme example, partially joking. Maybe I should have said straight white billionaires or something. The only bad thing I can think of that particularly affects straight white males is people on the internet being discriminatory to them, which really isn't that big a deal, anyway.

That's just very disingenuous and you know it. The belief that another is beneath them entirely due to their sex is undeniably bad. That's like accusing someone of being a Nazi or a racist and then hiding behind the idea that you never actually said those are bad things when they call you out for it. Do you think it's not a bad thing to be sexist? Feminism is about equality for everyone by the way, it just has its roots in equality for women. It includes LGBT rights, minorities rights and even s…

Very true, but the privilege of being stronger and the disprivelege of being feared by women are directly related. There's nothing wrong with acknowledging that both genders have their unique privileges and disprivileges. Also I'd hate to be the one carrying the child tbh, i don't care what some mothers say about it being a great experience, fuck that noise entirely.

Ya realistically being biologically stronger is a huge privelege. If it means guys have to hover hand it with strangers, so be it. I'd rather that than be vulnerable to ~50% of the world.

I get you, I honestly think this is all just because girls are better looking than guys. I think maybe before it was compensated by girls (or people in general) not caring as much about looks but now it's caused problems as society has gotten more superficial. I don't see how anyone can blame women for this dynamic. It's just a natural advantage they have the same way guys have an innate athletic advantage. Let's pretend that wouldn't be an idiotic argument if it was true, but ya it's false anyway. Police have no obligation to protect your life. See that school shooting where a police officer chilled out in his car down the road from it while children got slaughtered, he knew it was happening, was armed but had no obligation to help. No one should trust the police with anything.

Tbh I think Jordan Peterson is worse than TRP by a good bit. From what I've seen of TRP there's at least a lot of differing opinions, with JP it's just one guy telling you what's true. He also talks about how he'd like the world to be rather than how the world is. His conservative idea of the ideal world isn't ever going to be reality imo.

They've some good advice but they really do say shit things about women that are honestly just as for men. Like they'll often pretend that women are far more immature than men but then if you ask a lot of women they'll tell you about their experiences with some crazy immature men. I suppose they have the attitude that everyone except for "alpha" men and the rare "alpha" woman are shit people, it's an arrogant stance to take and it's no surprise that it'll naturally cause a lot of overly pessimis…

I almost never hear about toxic masculinity in real life to be honest. Or much about groups of girls brawling. I think that under the definition of toxic masculinity, as put forward by feminists, the video above should fit that definition. I don't doubt people use it the way you're describing though. I'd like to think reasonable feminists would use it the way I said.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/19 11:27 PM

No I agree, it's probably because of their upbringing. I'm just saying they're exhibiting something that society perceives as masculine. That particular thing is fairly toxic, so I think it's fair to argue that it's an example of toxic masculinity. Maybe I'm wrong about the definition but I always thought it was meant to describe some behavioural traits in society rather than their motivation. At least thats what proponents of the phrase say, despite it sounding pretty accusatory towards men and…

I agree there's a lot of problems with the phrase, some of them you outlined there. Much like mansplaining, it's based on a big assumption of the thought process of the person being accused of it. But I could see an argument being made for its existence under a narrow range of circumstances. I feel like a huge, vicious brawl on a night out is almost always due to people having some level of perceived obligation to look tough. Plenty of men do think of themselves as food lovers, not into fashion or grooming. That results in a fat, ugly, badly dressed person. They've to actively pursue exercise and stuff to improve that. Be yourself is most definitely bad advice and making the meaning of it more narrow and extensive goes against the common usage of the phrase. Alright I'll take your point about being well off enough to it, I'd want to be extremely rich though to justify it. Sometimes I've a bad reaction to people saying that because they're making like 20k a year and spending almost 3k of it because they're too lazy to cook. Fair play if you are at the level where it's just not worth it and you don't enjoy it anymore. I don't envy the relationship you seem to have with your wife tbh, hope it all gets better for you.

As in, the massive difference in class would be negated by her being hot and therefore she would be in the social circles of wealthy businessmen. It was a reference to a different topic, not this personality based one.

I had an argument with people here where they claimed an impoverished Afghani peasant woman would still marry a very wealthy businessman if she was hot. I agree with both your points actually, TRP really underestimates how much personality affects attraction. What I mean is more that if 10% of people are a good fit for you but you're not very successful, don't take care of yourself, not good looking, not very social or even just plain uninteresting, that 10% can shrink into a tiny figure and make finding a good relationship near impossible. There's plenty of times that a woman just wants some dick the same way a guy just wants some pussy but the woman and society will feel like she's less pure because of it. Men won't lust over…

Womens libido is just as high as men's. Have you ever been friends with girls and seen how they talk about hot guys? It's the same as guys talking about hot girls. Main difference is that they're not as willing to stoop low to get their bit as guys but a lot of that is due to societal perceptions of purity rather than a libido thing. Nowadays, women calling other women sluts isn't really socially acceptable. This seems to depend from area to area, I think I'm just surrounded by a lot of liberals…

Take what you think is useful from it and ignore the other stuff, you can follow a lot of the philosophy without taking the parts that infantalise women. The way I look at it, TRP is mostly right about human nature, but forgets that the things it says about human nature are applicable to men too. E.g. women are mostly slutty, but it judges women on that even though men are exactly the same. A mix of sex positivity and TRP is a healthy way to live imo.

I'm no expert but as far as I know it's because they believe gender is a social construct and they naturally feel they belong to the other gender but they were born the wrong sex. They can't really change their sex (it's a medical term and can't be changed by drugs/surgery) but they can change their appearance to match that of the gender they feel they are. Technically, gender reassignment surgery isn't really a correct term because they should be able to "reassign" their gender just by identify…

Your point about guys often not putting the effort in is more true than people would like to admit I think. I've seen it happen plenty of times that guy will pine after a girl for years and I can't help but think he could've gotten into great shape in that time, which wouldn't guarantee getting her, but would most certainly help. Can you really be that upset about not getting what you want when you're not trying hard enough? In fact it's the most beneficial thing about TRP, that you have to work…

The article says that the people conducting the study attribute one of the causes to obesity so it doesn't seem like they controlled for it. Is it maybe a different study you're thinking of? If so, I'd be interested in reading it.

This is about average testosterone levels though isn't it? If an active lifestyle gave you 10% higher T and obesity gave you 10% lower T then the average 1980s man might have approx. 20% higher T than the average 2010s man.

Couldn't you say that T spikes shortly after injecting it? Obviously not to the same extent but once T production increases the testosterone is in your system then. Considering how much more physical labour and activity men used to do, T production was probably elevated for a lot of the day.

Calorie restricted diets have been shown to increase lifespan so maybe there's some truth to what you're saying.

Actually a few studies have shown that lifting helps stimulate hormone production (HGH and T especially). I think a lot of the fall is just from obesity and sedentary lifestyles.

Red pill loves to go on about dread and keeping women waiting on the side and so on, how's that really much different? Guys are just as guilty of this shit as women, women can just do it more because they're more in demand. I don't think they're any inherently worse, there's just a lot of people our there and if 10% are this shitty people like who you used to be will find them and they will have found you. Now that you've improved yourself, you don't have to deal with these women anymore and the…
