A combination of the above. I wasn’t bad at texting when I was younger (16,17,18) but now at 20 I really don’t have time for it. It just feels forced and not genuine - would rather speak to friends and potential partners in person. I’m dry as fuck texting but can hold lengthy and in depth convos in person. This is a bit of a pain in the arse because it seems everyone and their dog is on tinder/snapchat etc. Not my bag personally

Good advice to heed! I’ve certainly made the mistake of opening up too soon; pissed a chance at a good relationship away. Play the ‘grey man’ I.e not too up-front, not too guarded. Seems to be what works best from experience and watching others.
