I'd wager that men dominate the certification industry, because that industry is focused on male "tech" careers. You have an interesting familiar sounding story. I wish you the best of luck!

one aspect of societal sexism is that men are seen as more capable Luckily that means men will be hired with less education or experience. The knife cuts both ways. * I'm sure this will get downvoted, but I'm in a technical job where my peers have degrees and I don't. EDIT: And we have achieved feels before reals.

I spoke to my sister about it who is a college professor. Socially inept men trying to prove their value will explain retard shit to women. They're trying to prove how smart they are and that they are a primo boyfriend choice. Think of the "wicked smaht" scene in Good Will Hunting. Soooo... mansplaining despite it's offensive name is real thing. a male name to a candidate made them 3.2 per cent less likely to get a job interview. Adding a woman’s name to a CV made the candidate 2.9 per cent more likely to get a foot in the door. 3.2% and 2.9%. That doesn't seem like a huge deal.

Ikea has extra free diapers in their men's restroom. Lots of airports and restaurants have changing tables in men's restrooms. Mom and Pop shop restrooms and just older buildings didn't have them. I'd say 70% of places have those koala fold down tables in the big midwest city I'm familiar with. My little man is a similar age.

That had nothing to do with her gender. It was because of many deals being made, such as her future VP pick stepping down from leading the DNC to make way for 2008 Hillary campaign manager to lead the DNC. She had obvious control over the party which made it easy to get the nomination. I think that the class action lawsuit related to all that silliness is still on going.

I personally think all waves of feminism sucked Getting the vote for women and allowing women to not adhere to strict gender norms were awesome. Voting rights happened when not all men had the right to vote either. The voting part lead to helping disenfranchised men and probably helped black people get the right to vote. I hope men will someday be able to break gender roles too. Being gay is much easier for men, but being a caregiver for children is still pretty radical.

Feminism has mutated to mean all rights for all groups. It's part of the reason feminists say men do not need an organization that gives a shit about them. Their nebulous charge is also funny considering gay men are apparently no longer oppressed. EDIT: I'm not /u/12remember, but thank you for your downvotes anyway.

The girls I know had camp outs in Ireland and Canada, but crazy rules prevented them all from getting the Gold Award (Eagle equivalent) which was a travesty, so I'm not surprised to hear that national/international leadership is pretty bad for the Girl Scouts.

As a boy who went on girl scout trips (dragged along as a little brother), I would have. The local girl scout troop was run way better than the local boy scouts. The girl scouts also blew the socks off boy scouts when it came to cooking on camp outs. I wouldn't sue to try and get in though. I think the two organizations are fine the way they are. I think they are just raising a fuss because they can.

It would be too "traumatizing" for the alleged victim to have her story subjected to scrutiny in a trial. The few times I've been in the jury section process, people's histories have been brought up. Their previous good deeds, and even in one case a lawyer talked about some bullshit community service they were involved in. It really seems like standard shitty "ad hominem" fallacious argument stuff. I've never been a juror though.

I'm sorry you had to go through that. Stay strong. You are making those kids' lives better by being around to go sailing with them. Okay. My logic may not be rock solid. The article I linked is about individual bias and not rule based bias. The thing is people can be bias against men and people can be bias against women. Codified bias against women has mostly gone away whereas codified bias against men is on the rise with rules like the one in the article. I would accept the argument that we should focus on rule-based bias because you can't solve individual bias. If that was being said, then I whole heartedly agree.
/r/MensRights28/03/17 08:40 PM
-3

I don't think it's real. It once was but not anymore You've gotta be shitting me. You seriously don't think anyone is bias against women? And no article by the Guardian (for heaven's sake) Just read about the freaking blind hiring somewhere else then if you have a bias against the Guardian. The lesson to take home: never - NEVER - trust Feminist sources. You've gotta be fucking kidding me. You don't see the irony? Bias doesn't exist. Never trust a feminist source.
/r/MensRights28/03/17 08:24 PM

What hindered you before men got discriminated against? You do realize that discrimination is real. The auditions are an example where taking a few steps can eliminate bias. The 50% quota however is just stupid. Whenever someone asks for a law or a rule that codifies discrimination, you can now point to this ridiculous 50% rule.

we have a two tiered legal system, one for men and ine for women Ethan Couch's Affluenza begs to differ. The only adult woman victim of rape I know did not know who her assailant was, and thus never had the option to prosecute. Two different things. Children and women (and men Jesus Christ) do not come forward because they will be subjected to a trial. Look at the late teen age to mid-20s crowd and see how these girls dress, how they proudly display themselves on Facebook and Instagram. There is immense pressure on women to look a certain way. That pressure comes from men, women, culture, society, etc. Men get a similar pressure, but it's more around having a good job and being stable. wtf? EDIT: I referenced Title XI because it was a huge increase to women's sports and a huge decrease for men's sports. There are college men's sports that just don't exist anymore because the number of available sports had to be even. Fencing and equestrian sports. When things are reversed, the answer is, well, just too hard. Not enough benefit. The missing section is, "Not enough benefit to women." Modern feminism isn't about female equality, it's about female superiority.

Not really discirmnation sic, boys and girls are different and so they get different vaccines. Title XI. Girls get the benefits, boys get the discrimination. Only things that women have less of need to be even. Everything else is just too hard to help the boys. I'm getting Animal Farm vibes from these discussions.

Men who opt out of all social and societal norms. Basically opt out of family and relationships with women when possible. There are a lot of good women in my life, and it looks like throwing out the (literal) babies with the bathwater. /r/MGTOW/

You sound like a mgtow person. Remember that these headlines are the worst of the worst. Not all women are terrible douchebags. There are plenty of good women out there. I've felt like you do, and have been dealt a bad hand lately. If you are waking up in the morning and are alive, then you can make progress out of whatever hole you are in. Sometimes you can also just stay in the hole till tomorrow. Might be better weather for climbing.

Make sure you put down all of this on the review at the end of the year. Make sure anyone else who feels similarly to you is instructed to mention it on the review at the end of the year. That stuff is very important to the school and gives you a voice to her superiors. Of course if her superiors feel the same way then you are fucked, and if you've made it to the end of the year you are probably fucked anyway.

Okay. rMensLib has a good premise, but the tip toeing around the issue that men have struggles that should be addressed just makes me cringe. Makes me think of a white knight that has been jousting all day, and raises his hand and in a timid voice asks if he could perchance have a glass of water, but only after everyone else in the crowd has an equal portion of water. EDIT: If there is something to be learned from feminism, it's to be unafraid. rMensLib looks pretty dang scared to me.

In theory men's rights activism shouldn't be something nasty that strikes fear into the heart of women active in feminist circles. In theory it should just be men working on issues associated with toxic masculinity. I imagine the author sitting on an Egyptian throne while men wave palm leaves her direction. She's so short sighted that she can't see past her own gender, and realize there are people suffering on the other side.

Former janitor (4 years). Women can have problems with used tampons that make their restrooms pretty bad. Having said that, I'd rather clean a women's restroom because cleaning piss off the ground is pretty terrible compared to placing a dirty tampon in the trash. Other than those two things, men and women are pretty similar.

This is a logical argument and a statistical argument colliding. Discrimination is wrong. Who cares. Talk to them in their language. Whatever it takes to get the point across. "What's in it for me" is pretty common across all people. There are only so many Ghandis and Mandelas to go around. Men's rights and feminism have a hell of a lot in common, and the "holier than thou" stuff is tiring. In the end we all just want opportunities, and women have a couple hundred years head start on advocating for those opportunities.
