That's because feminism isn't a monolithic idealogy/philosophy. First, in the western world, there has been 4 different waves of feminism, each focsuing on different issues. Which source are you referring to in the wikipedia article? Because the 'By Country' table makes up a statistic. UNDOC is cited but after checking the website, data for India does not go past 2013 and the rate is higher than the stated 0.8.
