2-2-5-5 vs 7-7It will. Good luck man. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/01/26 06:19 PM
2-2-5-5 vs 7-7Yeah, I agree, everyone’s situation is different. You have to do what’s best for your family. My kids are close enough they can ride their bikes between my home and their moms, so they may be here even though it isn’t technically my day. I think another important point is being able to work with your ex. You may plan a trip for the kids that takes place on days she is supposed to have them (or vice versa) or there are times I have to work out of town on my days. I’ve heard stories of people call… | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/01/26 06:14 PM
2-2-5-5 vs 7-7Sorry, I was trying to elaborate but somehow it posted just the numbers and my app crashed. 4-3-3-4 works for me because my ex and I live only a couple minutes from each other and we are in the same school district. Our kids are older (12 and 15) so they pretty much come and go as they please anyway. This is what the judge suggested to us because it doesn’t leave one parent not seeing the kids for a longer time (like a week). But if there is any amount of distance between the 2 spouses, I could … | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/01/26 05:55 PM

Dads are needed. Even if they never get credit.I agree. It’s the shitty dead beat dads that fuck it up for the rest of us. They are why the dead beat dad laws were created. Judges don’t care if we are active in our kids lives or not, it’s all about money. | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/12/24 04:59 PM
gym alternativeMusic makes me run/walk a little farther than planned. You know what I mean? If you hit a streak of good songs back to back, it makes me keep going even after I’ve met my goal. | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/12/24 03:46 AM
gym alternativeSome AirPods and good music really make my running experience great. | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/12/24 12:04 AM
I feel forever stuckDamn! I’ve been to some shitty places in the US. None so shitty that I would leave the situation you have. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/12/24 08:44 PM
I feel forever stuckSo to be able to keep that 50/50 you need to stay there. I assume there is no child support? | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/12/24 08:40 PM
I feel forever stuckI feel the same way man. Going through this for the second time. And doing it at 43 is MUCH harder than at 29. Every day is exactly the same and it’s like I’m on autopilot. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/12/24 08:19 PM
I want to take a few days to myself. Where can I go?Obviously Thailand based on posts from the past couple days lol. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/12/24 12:53 AM
Went overseas to date women... kind of stunned really.I’m thinking OP is talking about SE Asia too. There was a vid recently of a 70 year old American man that moved somewhere over there for that very reason and he had much success. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/12/24 10:19 PM

Who has to pay their spouses health insurance? This is the real dealbreaker for me.Is separation considered a QLE so I can remove my STBX outside of open enrollment? What if she goes out and gets pregnant by another dude? How do I get my name taken off an auto loan that I co-signed for? | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/11/24 05:14 PM
Advice on hiring an attorney. [NC]I agree. I think the fact that she alone is on the mortgage initially gave her leverage. But she, just like us, has done a little research and seen that marital equity is a thing. Most guys would call me a dumbass, but I’m kinda empowered by the challenge of starting anew. Especially since I’ve finally hit a point in my career that I can afford to move on. I have a good family (as does she). Your wording is spot on. I think things need to be as intricate as possible when it comes to this divorce… | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/10/24 11:37 PM
Advice on hiring an attorney. [NC]I appreciate it man. I’m a dumbass I guess. I was told to leave, and I did. I live with my sister. I think we both thought “we needed space”. But it has escalated into this. I would NEVER be able to go back after seeing/reading the things I saw in her phone and it be normal again though. I’ve done this in the past in 2008 (thank god we weren’t married) and it changed my life forever. I think she used that fear as leverage. She is a good mom and I don’t think she would run me through the wringer … | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/10/24 10:45 PM
Advice on hiring an attorney. [NC]I hadn’t even thought of that. Thank you. It has all just happened so fast. I printed a separation agreement months ago but it never really materialized. I had that feeling to go through her phone (which I had never done in 13 years). That intuition that tells you something is off. And it was all there. Since then it has been a whirlwind. I do see lots of guys admit they’re wrong up here, and that is awesome. I was far from perfect. But she is a good woman at heart. I took a kid in at 8 months o… | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/10/24 10:29 PM
Advice on hiring an attorney. [NC]Thanks, this makes me feel better. I really never thought I’d be in this situation. But again, I see from reading other posts, it could absolutely be worse. | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/10/24 07:28 PM
Advice on hiring an attorney. [NC]Thanks, the child support scares me. I just finished paying 15 years for 2 kids I have from a previous relationship. My current wife always said she would never do to me what my ex has. But what they say and what they do are 2 different things. I guess I’m lucky compared to many stories I read up on this sub. I feel like if I keep on being a great dad things should be Ok. I know prices can vary, what can I expect to pay for an attorney to draw this up? | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/10/24 06:34 PM
