Your story sounds similar to mine in a lot of ways. The biggest difference is I ignored the feelings when I fell out of love with my girlfriend, and I married her. It's been 7 years of a perfectly fine marriage, except now I realise I should never have gone through with it and am pushing for our divorce. She's completely heartbroken and my biggest regret is not doing this a long time ago. Therefore if I were you and a guy said this to me, I'd run.
