My husband and I didn’t have any intimate physical contact before marriage for religious reasons. I don’t regret it in any way I am glad we waited.

Don’t put yourself in any situation which is inappropriate or uncomfortable

I don’t think you will ever regret education but I do think that for most women the ultimate vocation is marriage and motherhood.

I am going to give two pieces of advice that you can ignore if you choose. Firstly don’t have any exclusive relationship unless it is on the clear understanding on both sides that the intention is marriage in a defined timeframe and secondly don’t have sex - make him wait.

I really would concentrate on your personal journey and especially your faith before getting into dating. As a Catholic woman dating should be considered carefully and seen as a stage towards marriage.

You are very definitely better off without this man.

Being pregnant is inherently deeply feminine and if you dress accordingly you will look beautiful.

Having sex before marriage is no better way of confirming sexual compatibility over a lifelong marriage than waiting and it vastly complicates assessing whether you are compatible in a wider sense.

Sorry I was not asking anyone to say anything I just thought it would be an interesting debate.

I appreciate that you may not agree with the author generally, and I agree that it is easy to be selective on Biblical quotes - but I wanted to start a wider debate on the issue.

A very good guide is that the right man will respect and honour your beliefs and boundaries and will not try to push them.

I am a believer in more formal courtship under parental supervision - rather than random dating.

Warmer dresses often over a long sleeve top or a skirt and tops, with a slip and tights. All my skirts and dresses are mid calf or similar length so warm and easy to wear.

You are a married woman and you will be ovulating on honeymoon - it would be wrong to wait.

You can wear any reasonably simple ideally inexpensive dress as a house dress as long as it is comfortable, modest and fairly loose fitting. Ideally natural fabrics are cooler and easier to wash etc.

I hate to sound old fashioned about this but as he is getting all he wants from the relationship already why would he want to be drawn into commitment and a family - which at this stage at least - are not his priority ? Either move on now or give him a clear ultimatum, along the lines of marriage within two years or you are off. It is a mistake to think that 30 is young to start ‘trying’ for children. If it all goes well fine but if it doesn’t or if you want a larger family (which you may then e…

You don’t need to ‘dress up’ just wear distinctly feminine clothes, which can be completely casual and comfortable. I have not worn trousers (pants) for 20 years but I am hardly dressed up when I am gardening !

Your role as wife and homemaker is to help your husband by providing him (and your children) with a happy, ordered and well run home life in a style which answers his preferences.

Warmest congratulations ! My experience is that everyone struggles more with one trimester than another so hopefully you will feel better soon. But in the meantime try to rest, forgive yourself a few things and relax.

Men and women are different and marriage should be a partnership of those differences with distinct but complimentary roles.

I would not be in a rush to marry. Marry the right man when the time is right for both of you and you are happy to become a family.

It drives me mad that all media portrayals of women now have to be de-feminised and sexually immoral.

I completely agree I was also a virgin and I am very happy that my husband thought that was important. I think men should raise their standards !

I confess that I would be very wary of marriage to a man who does not respect your wishes and beliefs. It would I think be easier if you both set boundaries for your behaviour now which did not go anywhere near as far so as not to inflame his natural urges.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
