To be fair, I never said anything along the lines of "put out or goodbye", nor did I insinuate sex was automatically on the table, lots of relationships dont include sex. I also think someone who wants to be friends first can make that statement, and if the potential for a relationship is on the table based on that outcome, then OP can jump through that hoop if they'd like. As long as you arent approaching 16 year olds in a mall a 30 year old approaching someone within a respectable age range won't be viewed as creepy inherently. Same with grocery store, book store, etc. I'm 32 and have met a few people at these kinds of locations. HOW you do it, will make the difference.
