But I sure as hell don't want to live with them, let alone a stranger. That's just the sort of person I am. I'm very independent and I like my privacy. 2	This cooking thing ....so hard Lots of dishes do require a lot of work. Cooking can be really difficult and time consuming -- the key here is that it doesn't have to be. Anyone who doesn't like cooking can choose to cook things that are less time intensive or require less skill. For me, it doesn't in this case. The extra money I pay to live alone is worth the peace of mind to me. 2	Bitches be trying to take everything The issue is that getting a new roommate is a gamble. You never know how good or bad of a roommate someone will be, even if you know the person beforehand. And if you get a bad one you're more or less stuck with them and have to then adjust to a lower quality of life. If I'm tired of looking at dishes in the sink I don't want to have to wait until someone gets to it or ask someone. I want to be able to just do it.
