Since liberation basically means obtaining freedom, I took it to mean that there are people on all sides of the the many fences, that we construct, that feel trapped in their "role". They just wanted to word the same sentiment differently to make it flow better with the rest.

As someone who has been to war, and not paid the ultimate price, I can say my mother took far more mental and emotional hits than I did. This is a terrible simplification, but yes women, the ones that care and love us take a huge hit during war. It sucked for me to but my mother and sisters and girlfriend seem to have carried the burden farther, it is not always men vs. women, war sucks for everyone. There is no need to trivialize one experience over another.
