It depends on who files and if they file for at-fault or no-fault.

Check out "Never Split the Difference" by Chris Voss an ex-FBI hostage negotiator. It will change your life. You're welcome.

Just wanted to add to your great comment. The passing of time is not healing, but it is what allows healing to occur. What do wounds need to heal? Sure they need time because your body can only heal itself so fast. There are things you can do to help the healing process along and the decisions you make now will shape how bad the scar is in the end. Seek out healing, find the truth about how this world works, gain wisdom and grow past what you thought was possible. We are our greatest limiting fa…

I'd say if you're a pretty stout introvert then you may be fine the way you are going. Hang in there man. Its gonna get worse before it gets better, but I can promise you it gets better if you keep moving. Divorce is a valley of hell. Thank God you don't have to stay there.

I'm in a similar situation where my wife says things like, "I just don't have anything left to give" or "I'm empty and don't have the energy to keep trying." I can't understand this. While I've felt unloved and unwanted by her for a long time, I always have hope, energy, or will to continue working on things. The only exception being when I'm exhausted in which I will ask if we can continue another time. Can anyone shed some light on this from my wife's perspective?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
