If you have to explain what your slogan means, pick a better slogan.

Are you a man? Then you are a man. That's all you need to know. Do right, help others when you can, and I don't care who you love. Bigotry is bigotry, and it's all wrong.

Came first? I'll take your word on it, just like "incel" led to "femcel", "mansplaining" led to "femsplaining", etc. But no, "foid" and "moid" are used pretty equally in bigoted communities. That's a fact.

Being held accountable would be no different than endorsing any other kind of bigotry. Lose friends, lose job, etc. Edit: sorry, I didn't answer your second question. Unfortunately, many men suffer from internalized misandry. So yes, sadly, many men did in fact tolerate the sexism against them, as they are expected to do. Thankfully, anti-bigots are pushing back.

I have yet to see men's rights advocates pull a fire alarm to stop a feminist from speaking, but I have seen plenty of the reverse. I was once called a misogynist for commenting on a video of a group of men forming a human chain to save a dog from a river saying "men are awesome". Have you ever once seen positivity towards women called misandry? The fact that advocacy or even positivity towards men is seen as an attack on women is a problem. Men are expected to just take sexism, women are not. L…

What's hilarious to me is literally moments before I saw this post I was on a sub that documents online misandry with several examples of people using moid, and that was just yesterday. In fact, come to think of it, you saying foid is the first I've seen of it too.

It would 100% be a relationship dealbreaker for me. My girlfriend is Latina, imagine me saying "I hate Latinos....oh but not you...you're one of the good ones." Especially then expecting her to say "oh yeah, we're awful". Like, what the actual fuck? No, I will not just put up with your bigotry. For some positivity that sometimes we all need and if I may brag, I normally cook but my girlfriend told me not to worry, when I got home she had picked up wings.

It's not about being confident in your career, that's just a source of income. What I mean is figuring out your passions, what matters to you, and using them to help your community. I'm a chef, I cook meals and volunteer around my community, but if you were to put a guitar in my hands and say play well, people would be praying for death. What I mean is confidence comes from where you choose to direct your energy, because that defines who you are as a person. Once you're there nothing can hurt yo…

I've worked with a lot of young talented men, and I always tell them the same thing, and I'm shamelessly paraphrasing a speech by Arnold Schwarzenegger that I'd really recommend every young man and woman listens to about his "rules for success". His first rule is about figuring out who you are. You might be a doctor, a welder, a politician, a nurse, but that is what you are. To figure out who you are do a simple thought exercise: where do you want to volunteer? Do you want to walk dogs for the S…

I was accused of basically carrying a falling down drunk woman back to my apartment. There was security videos of me walking home alone, her walking into my apartment about an hour later, walking just fine by the way, and then storming back out because I pushed her off me. I still lost friends because of it. Women being attacked while walking at night is even more rare than false accusations, but we're supposed to hold men accountable for their fears.

That men who ghost women after being friendzoned were only ever after sex. Know what I love about my relationship? The cuddling up on the couch and watching a movie, making dinner together, little surprises, basically you know, a relationship. I've been broken up with by someone that wanted to stay friends, like no, I don't want to hear about the next guy you date, it would hurt. Yes, some men do feel entitled to sex, and some women feel entitled to friendship when friendship would hurt you. Som…

Women have done enough? What have women done for men? Anyways, all valid things that could help the issue, but very surface level. Many things would make much more of an impact, let's start with the most low effort: stop bashing men. All other forms of bigotry are seen as massive character flaws, as they should, but misandry is not only tolerated but often used for clout. We can start by just calling these bigots out and teaching men they don't just have to tolerate bigotry because of their gend…

You have a really disgusting view on men and I'm truly trying to help you grow and shake off your bigotry. Yes, those men existed, men today are expected to be "allies". Is it to much to ask women for the same? According to you, apparently so. Unfortunately, most men today grew up being told we live in a "patriarchy" and that they have it easier because they are men. If did live in a "patriarchy", if men did have it easier, we would not see men being the majority of the homeless, majority of sui…

"Men are just lazy." You know this from your extensive experience of life as a man? Maybe try listening to men instead of telling them what life is like for them. You're no different than a man telling a woman on her period to just hold it in. I'm having some difficulty coming up with a counter term to "weaponized incompetence", wherein the man does the task correctly, but differently, but is still scolded and told he's doing it wrong. For example, according to me ex, I didn't know how to do dis…

You... do know the patriarchy was and is the longest affirmative action program for men, right? It's literally gone on for thousands of years. Again, that would require it to exist. Even if it did in the past, the men alive today receive no benefits. The scholarships that women got were started by, paid for and maintained by other women. ...and taxpayers. This may come as a shock to you, but men also pay taxes. So programs that should be gender neutral, and indeed in 2026 favour men, still go to…

This is a lot of words to confirm what I said, capitalism exists, patriarchy doesn't. A society that only values a man based on what he can contribute is not a patriarchy any more than valuing women based on child birth is a matriarchy. Sorry to challenge your worldview, I know its hard, I used to believe men were privileged in my youth, but the facts show that it's just not the case.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/26 08:50 PM

So again, there either is no patriarchy, or there is but it is so inept at keeping men privileged that it might as well not exist. The only form of patriarchy is to enforce gynocentrism. Yes, men are pressured into positions of power, and pressured into using those positions into benefitting women at the expense of men. Hardly a "patriarchy" when those at the bottom are men. The women that occupy the middle are on the shoulders of those men.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/26 08:00 PM

If we lived in a patriarchy. We don't. Or we live in a patriarchy so inept at privileging men that it might as well not exist. Men are the majority of the homeless, of suicides, the incarcerated, addicts, the list goes on. We do not live in a patriarchy because its mostly men at the top anymore than we live in a matriarchy because its mostly men at the bottom.

So, let's talk about feminist action taken directed at helping men. Singling out men, and saying "we need policy change to help men". I looked around, but found only "uhhh, smash the 'patriarchy'?" I'm sure you'll find policy changes telling institutions to give men applying priority as they did women 50 years ago. Reply when you've found one.

I wouldn't call 40 years ago "very recently". Young men are discriminated against be preferential enrollment initiatives going to women, that's literally the definition. And yes the Trump administration are idiots. Discrimination in one area doesn't justify it in another.

You...do know affirmative action programs favouring women and taxpayer scholarships available only to women are things in 2026, right? We put our thumb on the scale to get more women into school, the problem is that we never took it off, just kept pressing. Yes, boys are being discriminated against, there's no ifs ands or buts about it.

And through affirmative action and women only scholarships equality was achieved in the mid 80s. Did those programs stop? Mission accomplished? No. So now that campuses are mostly women what actions have feminist groups demanded we take to fix this problem? I'm almost 40, I have never lived where men outnumbered women in school. The young men today never lived in a world where men out numbered women. The young women going to school never lived in a world where they were discriminated against. Wh…

Thats the silver lining to MAGA, they are a direct 1:1 comparison to feminists. MAGA is making America great, they'll tell you that. Lower egg prices, lower gas prices, no new wars, America is respected on the world stage, etc. For all of which the opposite is true. Feminists will tell you it's about equality, but have fought against equality over and over when equality would come at the cost of female privileges. I've literally been called a misogynist for sharing the stats that men and women both commit, and are victimized by domestic violence at similar rates. I told them it says a lot about them that they're always happy to say women are equal to men in positive things like intelligence, but she considered it an insult to women to hear that women are equal to men when it comes to abusing partners. That's not misogyny, I'm not saying women are bad, I'm saying women are equal. Just one example but illus…

It's interesting watching people have flat out proof that their beliefs are incorrect put in front of them and just reject it because they value their "team" more than facts. I'm kind of grateful for MAGA in this regard because it is a direct 1:1 comparison to feminists. Feminists claim it's about equality, and you can show example after example of feminist groups taking action against equality when equality would favour men, but they won't drop the label. Well that's just it, they'll say it in a negative context about things like abuse or rape, similarly implying that it's never a woman.

I've started using the phrase "not all men, but always a man" in a positive context. Child rescued from river? Baby caught after falling off a building? Dog rescued after falling through ice? "Not all men, but always a man". I got called a misogynist for saying that which was hilarious. I didn't coin this but it's very true: men can share collective blame, but never collective praise.

I don't know who coined it, but the phrase "I didn't leave the left, the left left me" hits hard. I still hold all the same values, equality, a strong social safety net, healthcare. But the left left me with "its ok to discriminate against certain groups". No, that's not the left I know, or knew I guess.

Most infanticide is done by the mother, do we ask women what actions they've taken to prevent babies being murdered? Do we lecture pregnant women on the fact that murdering babies is wrong? No. I've never raped anyone, how much more not raping can I do? It can't go lower than 0. I've also never murdered anyone, how much accountability do I have that it still happens? Absolutely, if you do something wrong, you are doing it wrong. If you change a tire by taking it off and just driving on that's doing it wrong. I work as a chef and I always say if you put 10 chefs in a kitchen and say make a hard boiled egg you'll get 6-10 different methods but 10 perfectly hard boiled eggs. Just because you do something differently, doesn't mean you're doing it wrong if the results are the same.

Oh she did work, absolutely. I just apparently never did it "right". Sorry to hear that, it's never fair to be doing all the work. Did you read even a word of what I said? I did the housework, I did it correctly, I just did it a different way than her and she said I did it wrong, because she wanted it done her way. The results were the same, clean dishes, a bed made, a clean floor.

I actually had the inverse, I'm trying to think of a term for it. Basically any chore I did, I did "wrong". I did the dishes "in the wrong order", I made the bed "wrong", I even swept the floors "wrong". The dishes were clean, dry, and put away, the sheets were neatly on the bed, the floor was spotless. So why was I doing them wrong? I wasn't doing them the way she did them. It came to a head one day when she had friends over and was saying that I "can't even do dishes right", that sent me over …

The same is absolutely true. As the other poster said, your bias is showing. I myself have been let down by women, but I know women as a group are good. You'll be happier when you realize the same is equally true for men.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 03:39 PM

What a disgustingly sexist take. Most men are like most women.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 03:23 PM

That's exactly what you should do. Keep the 72 hour rule. Water, batteries, flashlights, canned food. It might suck to eat cold but I've been in an ice storm where power stayed out and cold beans were better than...well... nothing.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 06:49 PM

Ok this whole post is hilarious, but I want to highlight one thing: No personal attacks. Also, this is verbal abuse by definition. Proving me correct: men have an abusive nature. Attacking an entire gender, then getting hurt by me wishing anyone with you well. Please get help. I believe bigots can indeed turn their lives around, and I wish that for you.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 05:26 PM

So a man that got a paternity test in secret, but the wife checked the mail and found it, he's in the clear because he didn't tell her he got it? Ok.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 05:14 PM

Exactly, just like a go bag is accusing someone of being an abuser.

Or, when the baby is in the hospital already getting a bunch of screening tests, we can do one more. I'm going to respond to your other comments here so we're not jumping back and forth. Don’t compare the 0.00001% chance of paternity fraud Ok at this point you have to know you've lost credibility, right? Like, exaggeration is one thing but....what? Are there misogynist men out there? Absolutely. In equal proportion to misandrist women. Have you not heard "misandry is a response to misogyny"? That door swings both ways. Go to TwoX, misandry everywhere. I always laugh at articles going "why are young people pro-equality, but anti-feminist?" It's like someone saying "every relationship I've had has been awful!" Did you ever consider...maybe you are the problem? No, I'm not talking about a married couple sitting down and signing a mortgage tog…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 04:54 PM

So if you want your baby vaccinated you should pay out of pocket in a public healthcare system?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 04:45 PM

Hey I'm no fan of American healthcare. I can only speak to Canadian, which absolutely has it flaws, but a paternity test at birth would undeniably be a net good.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 04:44 PM

Most men? Cover up, your misandry is showing. We know domestic violence rates are almost equal between genders, so cut the nonsense. Yes, most people respond negatively to bigotry against their demographic, glad you learned something today. Would you be ok with a law allowing a man to sign a mortgage for a house, and sign on his partner's name, and have her be legally obligated to it? After all, she trusts him that it's a good house, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 04:42 PM

I pay for treatment for cervical cancer even though I'll never get it. What's your point? It's for the good of the child.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 04:36 PM

Having a plan mentally? Sure. Heck, I have a zombie apocalypse plan, I didn't build a bunker. Having a go bag or secret bank account? That absolutely is the exact same thing. You are taking action that is making an accusation at worst, establishing a lack of trust at best. They are equivalent.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 04:33 PM

I'm from Canada so healthcare is free. We do all sorts of tests on newborns, as well as vaccinations. One more isn't a big deal. The real question is, there are nothing but positives by doing it, why are you opposing it?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 04:30 PM

Because it would hurt the wife's feelings, and understandably so. That's why they should just be standard. It benefits everyone. The child can be screened for hereditary diseases, the man knows he is the father before signing an 18 year financial commitment, and the faithful women don't have their feelings hurt. Literally the only people that lose are pieces of shit who can no longer get away with fraud, so who cares?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 04:28 PM

Exactly, the equivalent would be a man finding out his partner has a secret bank account or a "go bag". It's an accusation, and this relationship is over.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:31 PM

This is why they should just be a standard test at birth. There's literally no downside. There are numerous heredity diseases that could be screened for, so it's good for the child. It's obviously good for the alleged father to know if he is the father before signing the birth certificate. They only people that it would be bad for are cheaters trying to trick innocent people into paying for their infidelity, i.e. shitty people. So, they can go fuck themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:27 PM

Do you honestly think there aren't men out there raising kids that aren't theirs? I wonder if female posters here consider that their opinions on paternity fraud carry as much weight as a man's opinion on abortion.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:24 PM

Exactly, like if I was rearranging my closet and found out she was keeping a "go bag", or had a secret account, it would be "I see you've packed a bag, just keep on packing cause you're out."
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:22 PM

Oh absolutely, call out the shitty behaviours, just don't assign a shitty behaviour to a group. Most men don't rape women, most women don't make false accusations. I think we're on the same page that suspecting either because on their gender is bigoted.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 04:08 PM

I think it compounds when you speak out and get ridiculed. "Male tears", "Fragile ego", "if you don't do it, its not about you", etc. I can't imagine any other group being not only being expected to nod along with bigotry hurled their way, but shamed for standing up to the bigots while the bigots are viewed as virtuous. Look at all the social media posts about "men are trash", "the world would be better without men", many young boys and men see this and internalize it.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 03:57 PM

It's tempting because by being a victim it paints your failures as not your fault, but your successes as overcoming adversity. But when it comes to men and women, neither group has it harder overall, but both have it better or worse in specific contexts. I agree with the positivity aspect. I hate to date myself, but I grew up during the Spice Girls "Girl Power!" era, while the only messaging to boys was basically "you're all monsters by nature but if you apologize enough you'll be ok". I mentor …
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 03:19 PM

I think step one is to focus on the individual, not the group. Genuinely bad people are in the minority, so it doesn't make any sense to generalize. We also need to stop the whole race to the bottom thing. "Men have it worse here" "Yeah? Well women have it worse here!" It's like if I was running a bake sale to raise funds for prostate cancer research, how much of a piece of shit would you have to be to say "NO! Shut it down! The focus should be on breast cancer research!"?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 01:31 PM

The best relationship summary I've seen is "it shouldn't be 50/50, it should be 70/30. And both should be trying to be the 70". Perfect. My grandparents were the gold standard for me, my Grandma at 97 would start getting up saying "I'm getting a glass of water, does anybody need anything?" and my Grandpa would say "oh sit down, I'll get it, does anybody need anything?" and I, in my 30s would say "how about you both sit down and I bring everyone water?" One thing I often bring up when the subject of "representation" happens (why aren't there strong female leads?), is the lack of demand for women to be represented in the one role they don't exist in: nameless goons that die by the dozens. You'll never hear a feminist say "not enough women were gunned down by the hero!" If anything, as we saw with Jurassic World, it's "a woman suffered a horrific death, as countless men have in these movies before? Unacceptable!"

It's criminal how awful young, awkward boys are treated. I volunteer at a non-profit teaching kids cooking classes, and have dealt with all kinds of kids. Growing up, a girl that was my neighbour was deprived of oxygen at birth, and as a result she spoke slowly, but she's plenty smart. Nonetheless she was bullied relentlessly, and I made more than one visit to the principal's office for either beating the shit out of a bully, or getting my ass kicked by the bully. How do you simultaneously "exercise caution" and completely trust someone at the same time? As I mentioned, almost all bystander rescues are done by men. Acknowledging male violence is not “misandry.” It’s reality. Why is misandry in quotation marks, as if it isn't a real thing? Furthermore, you acknowledge that selfless acts of heroism are overwhelming done by men, correct? If men deserve collective blame, they also deserve collective praise.

Perhaps you should read again, I did nothing in the wrong order, nothing wrong at all. I've stated multiple times that I did things correctly, and was still berated. Perhaps it's time to reflect on your own sexism.

It's better to be degraded than expect someone to better themselves? That's...a take, for sure. If a person has a flaw that they refuse to work on, that's a reason to leave for sure, which is why I did. I have flaws, my girlfriend has flaws, we all have flaws. What is important is recognizing and addressing them, not expecting others to accommodate them.

I'd say the burden is on the neurotic partner to just be grateful or accept that they will just do the task themselves. I wonder how many stories of "weaponized incompetence" are just men that said "fuck it".

And if a man expects a woman to do things his way? Is it valid? Like I said, my girlfriend folds clothes one way, I fold them another, both are clean, dry, folded clothes put away. It absolutely would be invalid for me to imply she is incompetent at doing laundry because she folds clothes differently than I do.

With an ex girlfriend she would complain that I did the dishes wrong. Were they still dirty? No. I just did them in the "wrong order". They were clean and put away, but because I did them differently than her I was doing them "wrong". One night she had friends over and was complaining about how I can't do dishes "right", so I had enough and opened the cupboards and said "ok, which were done by you, which were done by me? Obviously there's a difference" Her friend said "why can't you just do them…

That's exactly what it is. Man abuses woman? "He's a monster!" And rightly so. Woman abuses man? "I wonder what he did to set her off." It isn't expectations of women, it's excuses for women.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 04:34 PM

This is the problem with labels. I can be anti-feminist and care about women, because feminism isn't synonymous with women. It's also not synonymous with equality. Feminist groups have taken action against equality, when equality would benefit men, or come at the expense of female privilege. Look at NOW fighting against a bill simply stating that custody hearings should presume 50/50 and go from there. Look at 250 feminist organizations in Canada signing on to a letter asking then Prime Minister…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 04:01 PM

Tell that to the feminist organizations fighting against equality then. Or are Republicans a party of good people? Just trying to have small, responsible government with a focus on individual rights? Republicans say that's what they are, so it must be true, right? Try evaluating ideologies and movements based on what they actually do, not based on what they say they do. Then you'll understand that feminism is not about equality.

Absolutely! Incels have, as an ideology and through their actions, directly lead to deaths, just as feminists have. Nobody is born a feminist, nobody is born an incel. Just because women commit a terrible crime, doesn't mean I should be suspicious of women, does it? If you hold men as a demographic with suspicion, do you also hand out medals to men? After all, the vast majority of bystander rescues are men. As I said, it would be just fine if feminist groups only advocated for equality for women…

I'll paraphrase Karen Straughn and say "with all due respect, you're a nobody. The feminists that represent feminism are doing evil things." And it's very true. Individual feminists believe feminism is about equality. If that were true, you'd see action from feminist groups on behalf of men. But you don't. If feminism was a special interest group simply focused on women's issues, that would be fine, but it isn't. If I started a charity to raise funds for bone cancer research, and you had one for…

They absolutely have, it goes on even today. The UN during a disaster will only distribute food to women. Men occupy the bottom as much as they occupy the top. Men are the majority of the homeless, majority of suicides, majority of those suffering from addictions, more likely to drop out of school, the list goes on. You just see the men at the top. You should probably avoid Black Lives Matter rallies, for your own safety. Your attitude of "who is killing black people? Oh right, OTHER BLACK PEOPLE!!" would not go over well there. When men harm men to benefit women, it's women that are privileged, not men. Feminists didn't make the decision, but for a group that's supposed to be about equality, and had all the time in the world to combat "manspreading", they are oddly quiet here.

That's just it though, "male" isn't a privilege multiplier. There are no downsides to being born cis, no downsides to being born heterosexual. There are plenty of downsides to being born male. I often point out that feminists will make the point that women getting favoured in custody is "patriarchy" and that childcare is a burden. Then I ask if that's the case, why did feminist organizations oppose legislation that would have custody be presumed to be 50/50? Exactly. I compare it to chewing with your mouth open, just can you pinpoint the exact moment where whoever was raising you dropped the ball? I've stopped dudes from harassing women, it happens, of course it does. Am I a "simp"? No, I'm just a decent person that is willing to intervene when something wrong is happening. A woman speaking out about men's issues is no different.

Hell, it's used to gain clout. Imagine "I hate women" getting thousands of likes and women being expected to go "yeah, we're the worst, but I promise I'm one of the good ones". Any woman that calls out misandry gets called a "pick me" instead of the more accurate "decent human being".

The "harming a man's ego" on is particularly interesting to me. Like, who takes pride in tearing someone down? It's annoying (and not gendered) when someone is boastful, "strong, independent women" remind me of the line "any man that must say 'I am the king' is no true king." "I'm a strong, independent woman!" No you've just been rejected a lot. I'm with a strong, independent woman, she's never said that phrase once.

A commenter was saying women being afraid of men is fine because of statistics, I pointed out that that's exactly how people justify racism against black people. I was given a warning by the admins. Not mods, admins. I appealed saying I don't actually believe it's ok to be more afraid of someone because they are black, just that both are bigotry. Nope. Appeal denied.

I think most of the problems "nice guys" face when it comes to dating stems from thinking nice = subservient. I can't speak to the equivalent for women, but I'm sure it exists. "If I do everything they want, they are bound to love me!" Good people, both men and women, don't want a servant, they want someone that they know they can depend on when they need it. Well now it's my turn to lmfao. Ever hear the phrase "for every beautiful woman, there's a man that's sick of her shit"? Not to toot my own horn but I am a conventionally attractive man that has dated conventionally attractive women. Surprise, surprise, women have just as many flaws as men. My girlfriend and I both have horror stories, but she's mature enough to know being a shitty person has nothing to do with gender.

So women should just accept negative generalizations on women, right? Men are just sharing their experiences, after all.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 02:19 PM

Another generalised statement just from your own personal experience Funny coming from someone who just did the same. Most men are toxic as hell and you realise that very quickly after talking to them. Patently untrue. Most men are awesome. I think of it like drivers and cyclists. If you're a driver and see a cyclist run a stop sign, you think "it's because he's a cyclist", you see a driver run a stop sign and its "that guy is a douche", and vice versa. You'll often hear "women are 5x more likely than men to be murdered by their partners". They justify that with of murdered women, 30% were murdered by a partner, vs 6% of murdered men. 6 x 5 = 30, ergo women are 5x more likely to die at the hands of a partner than men. That would be true, if men and women were murdered in equal numbers. In that same year that the statistic was published by the FBI, women murdered by partners numbered just over 1600, men just over 1000. So it's not 5:1, its 1.6:1…

I'm reminded of NOW fighting against presumed 50/50 custody. Feminists claim childcare is a burden and women getting custody is part of "patriarchy", so they should be all for "smashing the patriarchy" by supporting the bill, but they fought against it. They claimed that the men supporting it were an "abusers lobby", as if men care more about abusing women than seeing their children. It wasn't even mandatory 50/50, just that either parent should have to show why it shouldn't be 50/50. Sadly, its…

Even worse, look up Elizabeth Sheehy. A law professor that thinks if a woman murders her abusive husband she should face no prison time. Glad we agree it's not about equality, please pass that on to all the feminists that, for some reason, insist that it is and that men should support it. There are many areas where men have it worse and women are the privileged group so I guess I'm not a feminist" "Oh, so you don't believe in equality?" And around and around it goes. Funny how when a bill including women in the draft comes across they have all the time and resources to fight against it, but when it goes back to being just men all they can do it go "yeah...that's bad", isn't it? Almost like if they actually cared they would keep up that same effort they had to keep women out of it. I'm not anti-feminist due to any of that, I fully support equality. I'm anti-feminist because of actions taken by feminist groups against equality when equality would benefit men at the expense of female privilege. How does anything to do with abortions benefit men at the expense of women? Both pro-choice and pro-life camps are evenly split as far as gender. I agree on your second part, we certainly do. That's the point though, men are also expected to accommodate women. Give up their seat, move out of the way, etc. Entitlement is not a gendered behavior.

It's so ludicrous, like people say "you can't be sexist against men, just prejudiced". Like even if that were true, which of course it isnt, that's your defense? "I only took silver in the 'shitty human being Olympics'"? Either way I'm neither sexist nor prejudiced so I'm still a better person than you, what's your brag?

/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/26 03:36 PM

Why do you give women the benefit of the doubt and not men? I've only experienced it from women, does that make it ok for me to do it to women? People say "misandry is a response to misogyny", well now you've just justified misogyny in response to misandry. The fact is that entitlement knows no gender, plenty of women expect men to move out of their way, just as the opposite happens. For some reason you seem to think one is ok.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/26 03:35 PM
3

Because it's not? You just haven't experienced it as a man because you're a woman. If you expect men to listen to women then extend men the same courtesy. Women have expected me to move, into mud and snow, because they didn't want to suffer walking single file for a few steps.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/26 01:09 PM
4

That's just it, you've never experienced being expected to move as a man. That's the point, its not gendered. It's just entitled people.

That's the point, fathers want time with their kids, fathers fought for shared custody to be the default, feminists fought against those laws. If women getting default custody of children is "patriarchy" and there was legislation that would "smash the patriarchy", why did feminists fight tooth and nail on the side of "the patriarchy"?

I appreciate your post. I've been abused by women. Do I hate them? Of course! Those women, not women.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates26/01/26 12:59 PM

I think neither should be, currently one is forced in while the other can opt out. It's one or the other, both or neither.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/26 11:59 PM
1

I think that women should be treated identically to men, so for that to happen either a woman should have to identify the father and he is given the option to take the child, or that men can abandon their parental responsibilities regardless of the mother's wishes, as women currently can. Personally I think children would do better with parents that want to be parents, not ones forced to be. Hence why men and women should be able to opt out.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/26 04:51 PM
1

How do we charge women that aren't even required to identify themselves under Safe Haven laws?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/26 04:21 PM
1

We could stop her by requiring ID and garnishing her wages for the next 18 years like we do to men, but as you said two wrongs don't make a right. Far better that we just give men the same option to legally walk away.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/26 04:18 PM
1

The existence of kids in those groups does not negate the fact that kids that were abandoned by their mothers exist. Should we garnish a mother's salary to pay for the foster care system? Or maybe just give men equal reproductive rights?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/26 03:20 PM
0

The main thing being that the mother has no obligation to even let the father know he is a father. If a woman wants a baby and the man doesn't, he can't abandon it without her knowing. But she can. So if a woman can sign away parental responsibilities without the consent of the father, we must allow men to do the same. That's equality.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/26 03:10 PM
1

That's the whole issue, even if the mother knows who the father is, she has no obligation to tell him. Obviously that's just biology, but that's also why we need reproductive rights for men. If we allow women to walk away without the OK of the father, we must allow men to do the same.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/26 03:07 PM
-1

Perhaps I was mistaken, I thought you were against men being able to unilaterally surrender their parental obligations without the consent or even knowledge of the mother. Im glad I was incorrect and you do indeed think men should have equal reproductive rights.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/26 10:55 PM
1

So women can walk away, and men can't. Glad we agree.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/26 10:38 PM
7

I'd recommend looking into how many kids are in the foster care system. Women have choices, men have obligations.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/26 09:35 PM
15

And if the father isn't found the mother simply pays child support to the foster system, or face jail, right? I agree with you that children shouldn't be abandoned, but if they are the consequences shouldn't be gendered.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/26 09:30 PM

So you oppose Safe Haven laws? Or demand that the father consents before the child is given up?

Indeed. I try and offer as much help to "incel" types, both men and women, as best as I can, but some people just truly view the world with a sense of entitlement. Like, when was the last time you really, truly, took a deep and critical look at yourself? When was the last time you did anything to improve yourself just for the sake of improving yourself? When was the last time you performed a task or helped your community with no thought of reward? People that do these things tend not to be singl…

I used to work with a perpetually single woman, and she would constantly rant about how she can't find a "good man". She was basically a stereotype, a complete slob, her workplace was always a mess, overweight, expected things to be done for her (I'm tall so I had to reach things, I can't think of a single instance of her doing something for me), she did not take my rejecting her advances well. Unfortunately it's hard to avoid. #menaretrash was trending on twitter, whenever a woman is murdered by a man, despite it being extremely rare, articles flood the media about "how do we address how awful men are?!", casual comments of "if women ran the world it would be a better place", phrases like "toxic masculinity" but never "toxic femininity". The misandry is pretty hard to avoid.

While I have, and would again, intervened, it is getting harder and harder to be empathetic with all the casual misandry and the people that make excuses for it. It's like when men say "I don't worry about false accusations of rape or harassment because I don't rape or harass women". Like, dude, if you did those things, and got accused, that would be a true accusation. What makes it a false accusation is when you didn't do it but get accused anyway.

/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/26 04:51 PM

You mentioned women's subjugation was tied to no control of their bodies. Men's bodies are also not in their control. How is this hard to understand? Is FGM just a parent's "choice"?

Do those vegan groups claim to fight to end racism, and that anti-racist groups should just call themselves vegan? But I'm glad we agree that feminism is just about what's best for women, I just wish they'd stop saying "it's about equality". It's fine to have a focus, but feminists have a history of getting in the way of equality when equality would benefit men or come at the expense of female privilege. Hence why anyone who is pro-equality is by default anti-feminist.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/26 02:14 PM

Which is why gynocentrism is a thing. Sure, there are downsides to being born a woman, but there's a whole lot of privileges that come with it.

So you'd also call men subjugated, yes? You wouldn't want to be a hypocrite, would you?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/26 06:44 PM

I'm anti-feminist because I'm pro-equality. Any time men's issues get brought up feminists say "not enough hours in the day", "we've got our hands full", but as soon as men's groups get legislation drafted that would be equality, suddenly feminist groups have all the time in the world to fight...against equality.

We most certainly are, men do not abuse women at rates any different than women abusing men. Ergo women have no reason to fear men any more than men should fear women. If in a population of 350,000,000, 1,600 were eaten by tigers, and 1,000 were eaten by lions, would you say "people should be living in terror of tigers, but lions are ok"? About 90%, of which men are about 90% of victims. In terms of IPV men and women are of course equal, and intimate partner murders occur at a rate of 1.6:1. Speaking as someone that has experienced this, sometimes the complaints are simply ridiculous, and then the person making them does indeed break up "out of nowhere". I was told that I folded shirts wrong, even though I fold them like (I thought) everyone else does, into a square. She folded them in to rectangles. I never complained about my shirts being folded into rectangles, if they were clean, folded, and put away then awesome, one less chore for me. But she insisted that my way of folding wa…

Nothing suggests he was beating off, just passed out with his pants down with a "leave at door" instruction.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 09:21 PM

I'm so, so glad that people maintain "innocent until proven guilty" in sex crimes. ...when the accused is a woman. As said in the video, she was charged because police obtained independent video.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 09:17 PM

I'd say incoherent drivel would be the person deciding they know someone's intentions better than the victim and the police, but sure, you do you.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 09:13 PM

Oh no, you mistake me. I'm just mocking how stupid your comment was.

Please, please, please help this woman and get in touch with the police department that arrested her. Sure, they have all the evidence and determined she was in the wrong, but you, brave internet person, can reach through the ether and read the victim's mind, oh sorry, the perpetrator's mind, and know more than all of the people investigating. I'll end my comment here so you don't waste any more time when you must use your mind reading powers for good! Go! Go!

Most women sided against Amber Heard, rightly so. There is, however, the "betraying the sisterhood" factor. I hope stories like this continue to push the younger generations away from the "men have it good but are bad, women have it bad but are good" bullshit. It's why I laugh when I see articles going "why is Gen Z pro-equality but won't call themselves feminists? It must be Andrew Tate." No, the problem is you.

I'll see if I can find a link but there's a similar story that happened years ago in the UK. A man's house backed onto a wooded ravine, and in the morning he would make a tea and sip it while looking out the back door. One morning, to his surprise, a woman and a young child go running through his backyard. Turns out the kid missed the school bus so mom decided to cut through the yards to get to the next stop. You'd think the mom would be embarrassed and go "sorry! sorry!" but no, she called the …

Please call the local police department right away, they need to hear this. Sure, with all their evidence they determined he was passed out drunk and she opened his door despite the "leave at door" instructions, but now they have you! The mind reader that knows that no person falling down drunk starts taking their pants off and passes out on their couch! Get in touch with them! Right away before she goes to trial for pushing his door open and filming him!

Same with the "wage gap".
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/25 02:34 PM

Exactly, they're afraid of "betraying the sisterhood". My girlfriend had to support Amber Heard during the whole thing despite coming home and saying she's a monster, but all her coworkers took her side so she had to as well.

The fact that she flat out claimed TikTok was pulling her videos down so they wouldn't pay her was a giveaway.

If you leave your door any level of ajar whilst half naked and expecting someone to knock at saud door Except he specified to leave at door, not knock. Pretty simple. She wasn't in the wrong. She was. She opened a door and filmed a person in their home without their consent. She's worse than a peeping tom because she even posted it.

This feels like the updated 1990’s trope of “what was she wearing?” that actually WAS ASKED at rape trials. So to ask “was the door open?” makes sense that that is just where we are as a society right now. Just wait until you listen to male victims of domestic violence. "What did he do?" Victim blaming is never ok, and people rushing to blame this man are disgusting. With all due respect, and frankly, not much is due but it just needs to be understood by people who make such requests or “dares,”…

How in the world was she judged too harshly for filming a sleeping person in the nude and claiming to be a victim?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/25 09:30 PM

My first recipe was a cake. Cake needs flour, eggs, sugar, salt, baking powder, cocoa powder, and milk. So I just added them to a bowl and mixed, then baked. I was 5 so I just was throwing things at random into a bowl. There was probably 1/2 cup of salt in there, it was disgusting. You learn by failing.

There's literally a sub dedicated to women who are conscious answering the door naked, "accidently" dropping their towel, none of them have been arrested. This is about a woman filming a sleeping half naked man and claiming to be the victim of sexual assault.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/25 07:25 PM

I'm a chef, the amount of times I've both said and heard "can I show you a trick" I literally couldn't count. At the end of the day though, if I slice onions then carrots, and you slice carrots and then onions, and the soup tastes the same, who cares? Heck, when I play hockey I always put my right skate on before my left, I wouldn't see someone putting their left skate on and go "you're doing it wrong!!!!!"
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/25 07:21 PM

This has been my experience as well. I take accusations of misogyny with a grain of salt, hammer and nail and all that. The vast, vast majority of men and women are just average, decent people.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/25 07:12 PM

Or maybe that men need literal video evidence to prove a lie and even still people will believe the woman?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/25 07:08 PM

You can prove that I'm not right in one easy step: post on TwoX that this case shows we need to take accusations with a grain of salt and not automatically believe to woman. Go on.

They were made aware, denied it, the police chose instead to follow the evidence.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/25 06:45 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/25 06:15 PM

I made note that the largest women's community talked about the man when they believed he was the perpetrator, but fell silent when he was the victim. You can't demand men police men and refuse to do the same with women. But you can prove me wrong, go on and make a post condemning her and other women that lie.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/25 06:13 PM

It's in the possession of the police, but it seems damning enough to charge her on multiple felonies. We'll see how it plays out.

I think what we really need is a term for when there is competence, but criticism gets levelled all the same. For example, I had an ex insist that I did the dishes wrong because I did them "in the wrong order". They were clean, left to dry, and put away, why did she care what order I did them in. Another insisted that I folded shirts wrong, as I fold them in a square shape and she does hers in a rectangle. Are you high? Men call out men all the time! Or do you want us to call out men as a group? That's where the objection lies. So if i were to make the statement "don't you just hate how women are false accusers and women don't call each other out on it" would your response be "you're right, ladies we need to do better"? /r/PurplePillDebate27/11/25 03:28 AM

Getting offended? I'm not offended, just laughing at bullshit. Like, what would you say to someone saying women are gross because they poop? "Oh that's a valid point, I guess we are gross", or "what are you talking about? Men poop too, men are just as gross"? I'd even wager you'd call the person a misogynist for singling women out for a behavior that men are just as guilty of.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/25 08:17 PM
2

Men are taking action, they just get met with everything from blocking doors to conferences to bomb threats. Men have opened shelters, men have drafted legislation, the problem is they are up against the establishment, the hate movement called "feminism". Don't worry, lots of men and women dedicated to equality will continue to take legal action on behalf of men.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/25 08:13 PM
2

I never denied that men engage in that behavior, just that it's odd to gender a behavior that isn't gendered.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/25 06:51 PM

You gendered a non-gendered issue. It would be like saying "women are gross because they poop". Like, yeah, so do men. "Oh now you're playing the victim! No, just correcting you.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/25 06:49 PM
2

Exactly, the action is conferences, some of which are canceled because of bomb threats from feminists. Men's groups in Florida got default 50/50 custody bills put to a vote, NOW took action to oppose them, ("No! Not that kind of equality!") Sadly, they were successful. Look up CAFE or Earl Silverman, look at the reaction to the documentary "The Red Pill". People very much are taking action, but feminism is the establishment now, so it take years of continuing to work. Thankfully, as I mentioned,…

Your post is implying that men play the victim and blame women. The other commenter was simply pointing out that the inverse is true. Go to TwoX, half of the front page is "women have it bad and it's mens' fault!"

I was more speaking to fewer and fewer people buying into feminist ideology, despite believing in equality. If one party was saying "everything bad is women's fault!" And the other said "nah, there's nothing wrong with women. We won't do anything to help women, but we won't blame everything on you". I know which party women would vote for. Edit to add: men absolutely do give two shits, look at men's rights talks, and look at how they get responded to. Again, the feminist narrative is far more do…
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/25 03:35 PM

I'd say it more goes to show that while men are pissed about how awful society treats them, feminists still control the dominant narrative and shame men for speaking out. Look at all the "why is gen Z pro-equality but won't call themselves feminists? It must be those damn Andrew Tate types, warping their minds!" Like, they are pro-equality, just anti-feminist, maybe the problem lies with feminists? Maybe young men don't like hearing that they are privileged when they've never experienced it? See…

/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/25 10:39 PM
2

Even if this were a true story, which I don't for a moment believe it is, as men's shelters are...non-existent, don't these types typically expect, nay, demand that men be allies to women's issues? Why can't men expect the same of women?
/r/EverydayMisandry24/11/25 08:50 PM
1

Exactly, I play hockey, if every hockey player a woman dated abused her, I could understand her not wanting to be with me even though it's a generalization. It has been said before, it will be said again, you are not entitled to a relationship, and a relationship can be ended at any time for any reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/25 07:32 PM
5

There are also men that avoid sluts out of bad experiences. I want a monogamous relationship and any "slut" I've dated ended up cheating. So it's a red flag. It's like when someone, man or woman, describes all their exes as "crazy" or "controlling". One or two? Sure. All of them? Maybe, but odds are the problem was you. So when a potential partner says she had a "slut phase" I politely tell her I'm not interested. It's not insecurity, I just learned from experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/25 01:49 PM

/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/11/25 01:43 PM
27

They'll also claim that men get harsher sentences because they are more likely to reoffend. Like, yeah, because they are more likely to be arrested in the first place. If a man and a woman commit the exact same crime in the exact same city and the woman is given a pass but the man is arrested, convicted, and serves his time, then if that same two people go and commit the crime and this time the woman is arrested, it will be a first offence for her and second for him.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/11/25 01:37 PM
15

They'll cite as male privilege that billionaires, politicians, and CEOs are all mostly men, therefore men have power. It's just as accurate as me saying men don't have power because the homeless, suicides, incarcerated, workplace deaths, basically every group you don't want to be a part of are also almost all men. Furthermore, what good does most politicians being men do for men? I've asked several people to name me a single law in the last 50 years that benefits men at the expense of women, and…
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/11/25 01:34 PM

It's pretty telling that when a bill comes up that would include women being included in the draft, feminist groups fight tooth and nail against it. But when the bill is struck down and the draft remains men only, suddenly it goes back to being no big deal.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/11/25 01:31 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/25 09:18 PM

Bigotry is bigotry, no matter who it's directed at. If you judge someone based on the way they were born you are a bigot. A white person expecting a black person to cross the street or wait for the next elevator is no different than a woman expecting the same from a man. Just an FYI, white supremacists spout statistics all the time to justify their bigotry. It doesn't make them not bigots. Quit doing the exact same thing, it's not a good look.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/25 06:41 PM
8

That's still at least a general precaution. Anyone behind the wheel can be dangerous. Saying "be careful around men" would be closer to "uh oh, Asian driver, be careful". Like, yeah, be careful, but be careful around everyone, not that person because they're Asian. You're also a shitty person for implying they're a danger because of how they were born.

They need everyone to fit in an easy-to-hate box. I've been called an incel while sitting next to my girlfriend, called a Trump voter when a) I hate his guts and b) I'm Canadian, and a misogynist despite never even mentioning women in the comment they responded to, I simply said men perform the vast majority of bystander rescues, which is true. I think my favourite dating story was a woman telling me that I'm not a "real man" because I wasn't willing to take care of her and her two kids while she stayed a permanent stay at home mom. Men are the majority of the homeless, the majority of suicides, the majority of the incarcerated, the majority of workplace deaths, the list goes on. So if the "patriarchy" is set up to benefit men at the expense of women there are only two options: a) there is no patriarchy, or b) the patriarchy is so inept at it's sole purpose that it might as well not exist.

Hard disagree. You hear all the time "men are clueless, I was dropping hints". The fact is most men have been burned by thinking they were seeing hints, asking, and being shot down and mocked. So we learn our lesson and don't act on "hints". Women shooting their shot would be actually taking initiative and asking. It has happened to me, but I've had more than a few women tell me "she was totally into you" and I didn't act because I wasn't sure if she actually was.

Yes, ideologies can get things wrong. Catholics for example believe the Earth was created in 6 days, that one man loaded two of every animal onto a boat, and that the Earth is only 6000 years old. All of which are provably false. This is also true for the ideology of feminism. That men exist as a privileged group. This is also untrue, and just as untrue as the story of a man loading two of every animal onto a boat.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates11/11/25 09:04 PM
1

What you are missing is that men being the elite does not make men elite. More men suffer than women. It seems this "patriarchy" has failed men, so let's find a better name for it, shall we? One that doesn't imply that men have it better than women when they clearly don't?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates11/11/25 02:44 AM
3

Exactly, class structure, not gender structure. Men being in positions of power does nothing for men. Name me one law passed in our lifetimes that benefits men at the expense of women. You won't because you can't. I can make just as much of an argument that men are oppressed as you can that they are privileged. Hence, not a patriarchy. Oligarchy is a much more accurate term.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates10/11/25 10:58 PM

My claim is, and always has been, that 2% are proven false, and 3% are proven true. What is your argument?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/25 10:41 PM

I volunteer teaching kids cooking classes at my local community centre, the parents glaring at me is hard to not notice. But I'd put them at maybe 5%. I far more often get kids coming up to me asking "are you married?" and the mom turns red and yanks them away. Sorry, I'm taken, but thanks!
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/25 08:43 PM

As a population? None that I'm aware of. Again, in 95% of cases, we just don't know, it could go either way. She says it was rape, he says it wasn't. All we know for sure is that we're looking at two people, one is a piece of shit that deserves prison, and one is a victim that deserves support, we just don't know which is which. Are you willing to send a rape victim to prison off of your best guess?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/25 08:38 PM
6

Which was my point from the start, statistically, we'll never know. Your chances of being falsely accused or raped is completely undeterminable. People just tend to act as if false accusations almost never happen but women get raped all the time, when the numbers simply don't bear that out. Men have just as much reason to take precautions as women.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/25 07:53 PM

Not all false accusations are made to police, look at the tea app for example.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/25 07:40 PM

I think you're getting the arguments confused. Men commit more violent crime than women, most of those men are raised by single moms. It makes as much sense to hold men as a group accountable as it does to hold single moms accountable, in that it makes no sense. One man is not in any way responsible for the actions of other men, just as single moms don't have to answer for other single moms. Yet men are constantly bombarded with messages that violence is somehow our problem. I can't be any less …
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/25 07:38 PM
2

2% of accusations are provably false. 3% are provably true. 95%, we just don't know. If you want to extrapolate numbers it's 60/40, so while women are more likely to be raped than a man falsely accused, there isn't that much of a gap. It's as accurate to say 98% are true as it is to say 97% are false.

It always astounds me when men take precautions around women and get attacked for it. If the birth rate drops too low, a lottery will be done and women whose SSN's are selected and they will have to report to their closest hospital of face arrest. At the hospital they will be impregnated via IVF. Boom, birth rate solved. Don't worry ladies, it will probably never happen. Just like, you know, the draft.

Most have been burned by bad men and don't want to repeat that mistake. This is also why I laugh when women say "why don't men open up more?" It's not because of other men or "toxic masculinity", it's because most men have been burned by opening up so they just...don't. That's why men's spaces are so important. Men do actually open up, just not to a woman that they worry will lose respect for them.

Likewise there are women that aspire to be stay at home moms, in that sense, they "get to" stay home the same way some men "get to" advance their career. My point is that using "get to" to describe men going to work is just as inaccurate as saying women "get to" stay home.

I'm by no means saying that being the stay at home parent is a walk in the park (well, sometimes it literally is but I mean figuratively), what I was more getting at is the phrasing of how men "get" to go to work. Like, no, most men and women don't like going to work at all, it just has to be done. People seem to treat men "advancing their careers" as some sort of Don Draper figure, sitting in their office drinking scotch, when the reality is that men are in the sewers, on fishing boats, tarring…

I usually say there are two possibilities: A) There is no Patriarchy B) There is a Patriarchy, and yet it is so inept at granting men privilege that men are the majority of the homeless, the majority of suicides, the majority of the incarcerated, have no access to domestic violence shelters, vast majority of workplace deaths, basically every group that you don't want to be a part of is dominated by men. If the Patriarchy exists, it is so inept at it's job that it might as well not.

People often forget that for the vast majority of men, there is no career advancement. You get a raise here and there but that's it. Add on top of that that only 25% of people even like their jobs to begin with. Of those if you asked "would you rather go to work or be at home watching your kids grow, the good, the bad, and the ugly?", how many would choose work? Gender parity was achieved in the 80s, and has only shifted since then in women's favour. The young men and women going to school today have never lived in a world where men outnumbered women. Heck, their parents didn't go to school when men outnumbered women. At this point the historical inequality is against men.

It's hilarious to me to hear feminists say women doing most of the childcare while men work is "patriarchy" and "oppression", and that men "get to advance their careers". First, according to the bureau of labour statistics on 25% of people even like their jobs to begin with, so men don't "get to" work, they just have to. Second, if childcare is patriarchy and oppression, why do feminists fight tooth and nail against presumed shared custody bills? Wouldn't 50/50 custody be the definition of "smas…

I know. Not even close to all Republicans are white supremacists. This is moving the goal post. No goal posts were moved, my claim that past good actions of an ideology don't excuse subscribing to said ideology when said ideology is doing bad things currently, as feminism is doing. Any time a woman says it I call her a misogynist. It's flat out saying men are far more logical and realistic than women, and I disagree. Sharks kill people every now and then, but if someone said "I don't go swimming because I'm afraid of sharks" would you think "good point, sharks do sometimes kill people", or would you think "you're nuts, the odds of that happening are miniscule"? Female privilege is the constant "men need to intervene". Watch interviews with violent criminals, so many of them target men because they feel "it's just wrong" to target women. That's exactly my point. The whole conversation is about a woman "getting the ick" as they say if a man opens up about being falsely accused. At the end of the day whether it's the woman opening up about being raped or the man opening up about being falsely accused, if either give you "the ick", you're doubting the victim. Men who are falsely accused face HUGE social stigma, so why would he open up about it if it weren't true?

What kind of nonsense question is that? What about a woman that kills herself because she was raped? A dead body is a dead body. You just think one is more tragic than the other, and I disagree.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/25 03:35 AM
3

The gotcha is that both are piece of shit things to do.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/25 10:20 PM
3

Yes, very easy to understand. She does not believe victims. She admitted that.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/25 10:18 PM
3

And you'd be no different than a guy hearing a woman was raped and breaking up with her over that.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/25 10:12 PM
1

Obviously you can break up with anyone for any reason, but if I dumped a girl because she told me was raped I would be just as much of a piece of shit as a girl that dumps a guy for getting falsely accused. Simple as.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/25 10:11 PM
1

Correct. She believes some victims but not others. Meaning she does not, in fact, believe victims.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/25 10:07 PM
1

They absolutely are, though. Again, people have killed themselves and been murdered over false accusations.

And I explained why it's a terrible example.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/25 08:45 PM

That's...literally what you said about a man opening up about being falsely accused though? That you'd treat him with suspicion?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/25 08:42 PM
3

They are. People have been killed or killed themselves over false accusations. Your denial of the equality is a slap in the face of victims of false accusations. You should be ashamed of yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/25 08:39 PM

Can you elaborate?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/25 08:33 PM

You...do know that men have been killed, or killed themselves over false accusations, right? They are of equal severity.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/25 07:16 PM

How so? Both are victims.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/25 06:16 PM

That's WHY it's such a silly analogy. Thinking a man is a rapist because he said he was falsely accused is no different than thinking a woman is a false accuser because she said she was raped. Both the man and woman are in danger. Make sense?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/25 06:06 PM
1

It's a silly analogy because it goes both ways. If a woman tells me she was raped, should I be on my guard because she could be a false accuser?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/25 05:58 PM
1

The only hypocrisy would be if you would think less of a man who refused to date a woman who claimed to be raped. So, would you?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/25 05:50 PM
0

How are they not equivalent? A man saying he was falsely accused is no different from a woman saying she was raped.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/25 05:38 PM
1

But you said you wouldn't date a man that was a victim, specifically of a false accusation. Why the hypocrisy? Why do you treat her as a victim, and him as a suspect? Both are equally victims.

If a woman told a man that she had been raped, and he then broke things off with her because she "wasn't worth the risk" because it might have been a false accusation. Would you consider him a good and decent person, or a scumbag? Because that's you.

This is the most sensible response. I've been abused by women, I've been falsely accused (before anyone questions it I was asleep in bed and she came into my room, I woke up to her on top of me and pushed her off, she said I got her drunk and dragged her down the hallway, the whole thing was on video. Me going into my apartment alone, her coming in 45 minutes later, her storming out 2 minutes later, it couldn't have been more open and shut). In fact we don't know whether the majority of accusati…

So yes, I will treat anyone who tells me they were falsely accused (especially unpromted) with caution. I will believe victims first and foremost. You contradicted yourself. If you believe victims, then a man who says he was falsely accused deserves to be believed. If you treat a man who was victimized by a false accusation with skepticism you are no better than someone that would say "but were you really raped?"

The problem is when someone is just… telling you they’ve been falsely accused, you don’t know if it was false. And if you’re in bed with a guy and he starts telling you that, yeah, that’s going to be weird and scary. And if I'm in bed with a woman that says she's been raped, should I keep the same energy? "Was she actually? Is she a false accuser? Could I be next?" Or should I just believe her and show compassion?

When I mention that I've been falsely accused, I'm often met with "are you sure you didn't actually rape her and you just didn't know it was rape?" Like, considering I was in bed asleep, and she came into my room and tried to get on top of me, and I pushed her off and she left saying I'd "regret that", and later told people I got her drunk, dragged her down the hall, and tried to force myself on her, yeah I'm pretty damn sure I didn't rape her. Being a feminist in 2025 is no different than voting republican because "Lincoln was a republican! How could you not support Republicans? Do you support slavery?". Like, good things of the past don't excuse the evils of the present. You can't support feminism and be a good person at the same time.

NOW fought against legislation that would presume 50/50 custody. Not demand it, just presume it. There should be a rule about that. Like a "gold standard", but a rule. We could call it "the golden rule" and it would basically be "treat others the way you want them to treat you". It can be funny watching their faces when expectations don't meet reality. I'm a conventionally attractive man, but I'm a country boy type and prefer time in the woods to the city. It's amazing how many women decide they like me then get all confused when I don't want to go dancing or basically anything in a city environment. Thankfully I'm with someone with the same interests but it was hilarious when I was single.

See also responses to evil acts, particularly in the case of domestic violence. Man hits woman? "That abusive monster!", rightly so. Woman hits man? "Oh he must have done something where she felt she had to! It must have been self defense!" Even when the man did nothing people will blame it on past trauma, anything to not put her in the "monster" box with abusive men.

That's fair, but after all we pay for a lot of things we don't want to through taxes. I'm Canadian, so having the testing done would just come from our already publicly funded healthcare, which already covers a lot of tests, of which paternity would be one of the cheapest with nothing but positive results of doing it.

Thanks for the response, and I appreciate you being consistent, a lot of people scream "that's different!". Take the interests of the "father" out of the picture for a minute, and look at the best interests of the child. Men don’t be fighting for custody. This is such a bullshit hill to die on because they don’t even try!!! It's so funny you choose to die on this hill and then bring up race in your next paragraph. Black people are more likely to take plea deals than white people. I guess black people are more guilty? /r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 05:31 PM

I'd love to see some evidence that men "get it". You're probably going to cite that study from Mass. that claimed "90% of men win custody when they fight", and just believed it. I don't blame you, lots of people just believe things they read, especially when they confirm their bias (there should really be a term for that). Read the methodology. They counted dads getting any custody as "winning". So a dad getting every other weekend...won? Ask any parent if 4 days a month with their kids is "winn…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 05:29 PM

If he got the baby and drops it off in one of those things, it’s the same. That's a REALLY big "if". It's no secret that it's damn near impossible for a man to get primary custody. Add to that that the mother has absolutely not legal obligation to inform the father that he even is the father... Men can just walk Plenty of men in jail right now would beg to differ. /r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 05:17 PM

Only with the mother's consent. Edit to add: Which does not in any way take away from the argument of "born children are owed support from their biological parents" argument. We allow women to freely walk away from born children, why not men?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 05:10 PM

Women do not have rights to financially abort, if the kid is out, she has to support it. Same thing for a man False. Google "Safe Haven" laws. Either petition against those or give men the same option. Otherwise just admit you're a sexist hypocrite.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 04:32 PM

Yes! Please sign a petition to repeal Safe Haven laws! Did you know that women can just give up parental responsibilities to a living, breathing infant, no questions asked? Your tax dollars pay for that! You would absolutely demand these women be forced to care for those children or face jail! Either that or you'd be a sexist hypocrite, but you aren't...are you?

As the other user said, some people are just hypocrites. There are pro-life women who get abortions, there are people that fully support safe haven laws while opposing legal paternal surrender. Just going to ask your perspective on this, I'm a white man so I'd like to hear your thoughts if you have the time. Shouldn't black men be leading the charge on men's issues? There's so much overlap. Education, justice system, poverty. All effect men more than women, and all effect black people more than white people. So black men get a full double whammy when it comes to discrimination. Don't know the answer, just looking to listen.

An accusation of cheating is indeed an accusation of cheating, requesting a paternity test is not an accusation. It's not saying "I know you cheated", but rather "I want to make sure you didn't cheat before I sign an 18 year contract". The "identical"-ness comes from the hurt the partner feels at the thought of "you, the person I love, the person I care about the most, think I would ever hurt you in that way?" No offense but...you, a woman, will never be faced with being held legally accountable…

But there really is no equivalent for paternity fraud, is there? I will never be able to have an affair, conceive a child, and hold my partner legally accountable for the well being of that child, all while convincing my partner the child is theirs, can I? I'm so glad that you haven't seen people saying this. But I will save this comment so I can link you to the next time I see it. Basically a man with a child he has been raising gets told "it doesn't matter! That's your child!" but basically if you're a woman, sorry...you get no opinion on the matter. You will NEVER find out a child isn't yours, so you get no opinion on how men should act.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/24 03:45 AM

Sorry for the delayed response, I work in healthcare and we're short (but then where isn't). I was referring to a woman having a secret account being her assurance that she can leave, and yet men have no such assurance, even proving a child isn't theirs isn't enough to relieve them of responsibilities. Imagine a world where women were told "yes, you have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that your husband abused you. But...you owe him money, and we will take it from you under threat of jail." Wo…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/24 03:39 AM

It boils down to the fact that it should happen before the fact. A woman saying "I'd like a joint account, but I'd like us to both have a separate account, just in case I need to leave" is absolutely no different than a man saying "I trust you, but I'm getting a paternity test before I sign a birth certificate". Both statements are equal, "I trust you....I promise I trust you....but don't like...REALLY trust you."
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/24 01:49 AM

A "safety fund" is as much an accusation as a pre-birth paternity test. Both are "oh I'm just protecting myself in case you turn out to be a piece of shit" I think every woman that makes the "DNA doesn't matter, it's your child!" argument should put their money where their mouth is and adopt or foster a child. Or at least have their salary garnished to fund the foster system. I think you'd see a lot less of those arguments when its women's livelihoods on the line.

I'm so with you on your last point. Like, we give babies all kinds of tests already, what's one more? Just make it standardized. For anyone against it I'd just ask "how many hereditary diseases are there?" Literally a "think of the children" thing, we could be screening way more kids and preventing so many illnesses and deaths. We can't say "think of the men" because that's a guaranteed way to make people not care. Heck, just recently 250 feminist organizations asked the Canadian government to b…

You can marry a good woman who meets a man she wants to bang. I'd wager just about everyone that has been in more than one relationship has been cheated on. Would you buy a house, sight unseen, and sign an 18 year mortgage because you trust the broker? I've seen the phrase "no uterus, no opinion" used a lot when it comes to abortion. The same applies here. If you biologically will never question if "your child" is yours, and the subject of paternity fraud comes up, (to quote Penn Jillette): "you…
