It means that humans are cursed with self awareness. Keeping your body alive is not the only requirement.. that is really just the barebones for humans. We are social animals so isolation is torture. It is not lack of sex that kills per se but the isolation, lack of acceptance, rejection

You've heard of heart disease right? Sometimes things that are fine in small doses (cheeseburgers or celibacy), are not so fine / healthy in large doses or for a long period of time

Ignore society and the consciousness inside the brain in that eating, drinking, breathing body, then sure.

Is that based on your experience as a hetero man dating hetero women? Based on your flair, that doesn't seem accurate From a pre-adolescense age, you were socialized to understand that you're worthless unless you can provide for at least yourself and your family yet you somehow believe that your partner's income matters? Sorry, I hate to burst your bubble, but very few men care if you're successful. Responsible with money, sure. However, you can be responsible with $25k/yr or $200k/yr and there …

On point 3, guys don't generally go around declaring how pure of intention they are though. Breaking rules that are already only rough guidelines isn't surprising. On point 2, also still isn't as relevant. Men don't care if a woman is wealthy or in prime physical shape. "Not obese" is good enough for most guys. I'm not saying efforts to self improve do not increase their attractiveness at all, but the effect for women is like 5x or 10x less vs for men

His post is not red pill, it is black pill. Red pill just means seeing things for what they REALLY are, not what they claim to be (hence the Matrix reference). Black pill is what attaches all the incel, emotional baggage and insecurity. At least that's my interpretation of the situation. Red pill might be a little pessimistic, but this guy is WAY too negative to just be red pilled.

I've had sex quickly (1st to 3rd date) and I've waited for 2 to 3 months (once). I was getting divorced and wasn't going to have "cheated" if I changed my mind and she wasn't going to be the "other woman" if I changed my mind. Once we both knew I was done, things progressed quickly. I HAD wanted to man slut around after my divorce, but "unfortunately" I met someone with mutual sexual chemistry with whom I can also talk / spend time with for hours and hours.... I know myself well enough to know w…

Lol, western women constantly citing the 4B movement. The Asian women pursuing the 4B movement are trying to get the freedoms and opportunities western women already have and have had to varying degrees since the 1960 to the 1990s. Western women talking about 4B is reminiscent of middle aged white people protesting that "All Lives Matter"....Yes, it's technically true, but it's still a privileged group trying to co-opt a movement that is VASTLY more important to the people who originally started…

WOMEN are the one's distracting from OPs question. You can't risk even the slightest chance that any issue could be judged in even the same ballpark of importance as your issues, so you showed up in droves to distract from the point of the question. The issues OP picked weren't necessarily the relevant part of his question. I raised my concerns to counteract all the gaslighting from women to distract from the question. You are the one's trying to invalidate his argument by talking about the impo…

Ok, I give up. It is apparently impossible for two things to be true. Yep, you have the only and most pitiful problem, no one else's problems matter, not even to them. They should forget about the issues facing them and focus on helping you.

Because loneliness is the same issue that these men are complaining about. Most men aren't good at expressing their feelings. If they are complaining about trouble getting a date...that is not something a guy would share unless desperate. If it was just about sex, they could go to Nevada, Amsterdam or somewhere else prostitution is legal and have sex for relatively cheap. It is not about the lack of sex. Men are told they are not valuable unless they are good providers / protectors. They have no…

True, I do acknowledge that the pain of rape is more psychological than physical and is not done in a few minutes (especially if pregnancy / abortion comes into play). I think the self discovery that finally got me passed my depression would help me cope with rape better than the average, unprepared person....My depression was constant negative self talk, feelings of never being good enough, not being lovable. Group therapy and sharing of troubles is what got me through it. I basically realized …

The complaints about dating are more about persistent loneliness, not "blue balls" Oh, but your answer will be "get better" or "make friends".....You mean with the other guys who were told to STFU and stop crying when they were little boys? Who have learned over time that no one really wants to hear about their problems? Who had their emotions circumcised by society and then are told it's their fault?

The 80% number is all over the place. I'm getting pretty sick of lazy people who need citations in an online forum discussion. Yeah, the problem really is that bad and no one gives a shit. If the genders were reversed society would be scrambling to find a solution, laws would be passed in days/weeks.....But then again, women are "valuable" and men are not. Your surprise reveals your bias as the privileged gender, at least in this regard (assumed valuable instead of having to spend every day of y…

As a person who recovered from suicidal loneliness, the matter is emotionally charged for me. Enough so that I support trans youth purely because I don't want people to experience that degree of social invalidation and isolation, even though I personally only have passing experience with that issue. I'm dissatisfied with the gender roles defaulted to men which is an extremely minor league version of the gender identity issues facing trans. I also support suicidal young men to find peace and happ…

Check your bias. Pervasive loneliness is the primary cause of the 80% of SUICIDES that are men. If you don't think long-term loneliness is a serious condition then bless your luck and privilege for not experiencing it.

How likely are people to report rape (made to penetrate) if they will be laughed at, criticized or have their experience diminished? Women are told that they can say no at any time, they can change to a no, that being weaseled/whined/begged into sex by a partner is still rape or at least SA. I agree with that. However, males being forced to penetrate have their experience diminished. Their lack of consent doesn't matter. "Just do it, what are you gay?" (No, I'm sick of your touch and don't want …

As someone who spent years suicidally depressed from loneliness, I'd take the single rape in a heartbeat. The pain of my body became trivial.....just another sensation/thought I had to learn to block to survive. I've had my teeth drilled without Novocaine (or other pain killer) twice....I knew the pain that would be coming the second time and I did it anyway so I wouldn't be late to work....I don't give two shits about pain that comes and goes in seconds / minutes. Do the nearly 80% of suicides that are men agree with your personal judgement of the issue? Let's see...a man killing themself due to persistent loneliness from dating failure is probably thinking CONSTANTLY: WHAT IS THE POINT? WHY DO I EVEN GET OUT OF BED? WHAT VALUE DO I PROVIDE TO SOCIETY? NOTHING EVER CHANGES! I WISH I'D NEVER BEEN BORN! WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME! NO ONE EVEN CARES THAT I'M FACING THIS, THEY JUST TELL ME TO "get better"! I bet some of those things go through a rape victim's mind …
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/25 12:31 PM

You've thus proven his point. Large numbers of men kill themselves due to loneliness, but these issues are "incomparable" to you. An unattractive (or even average) man killing himself out of years of loneliness is a non issue for you. I mean, why even discuss something so unimportant as a man killing themself right? Doesn't the world know that men's lives don't fucking matter?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/25 12:21 PM
-2

Ok, let's substitute suicide rate for dating success then. How can women dare to compare rape to hating your life so completely that you think about suicide every night of every day until you finally get up the nerve to pull the trigger (pun intended)? Oh but they do dare, and they go so far as to trivialize and discard the male suicide rate.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/25 12:16 PM

Good point, the fact that most suicides are men is another part of the gender war we should stay away from too right? We should probably also stay away from the fact that mothers can and nearly ALWAYS do use access to the children as negotiating chip in divorce instead of just assuming the father has an equal right to be with his children.... let's throw that one out too.... doesn't support the female cause so it's probably irrelevant.

The original post made no claims that men are doing great (or bad). The underlying causes of the unhappiness are mostly the same. Mostly social isolation from over reliance on social media (increasing negative self-judgement, negative judgement of others). This is exacerbated by the hypergamy mentioned by OP. Notice how even the richest and most successful women (often entertainers of some kind) still end up with someone who is still extremely successful but usually out of the limelight ("secret…

To be fair, most people are indifferent to most people. Realizing this is literally one of the key points that finally released me from my lifelong depression 6 or 7 years ago (47M now)....Most of the time, almost no one is actually consciously judging you. Even when they do, it is usually a brief mental anecdote that quickly recedes into their stream of consciousness. Men are socialized to be "useful" and to care about helping (especially women), so we are probably less indifferent to women tha…

You throw out obvious examples of misogyny and ignore my examples where it is used as a way to tell men to STFU when the topic has NOTHING to do with hate of women. Guess what? Men are not a monolith. We are individual people as well. We don't have "man problems", we have "problems". I'm the only one inside my head. Therefore my problems are the most relevant problems to MY life. Yet I can't complain about the piss poor rights or good, loving fathers to have equal custody rights to their childre…

Try to have a discussion without throwing around "misogyny" all the time. Can't do it can you? Disagree with your opinion? Misogyny Talk about issues facing men? Misogyny Discuss that 80%+ of successful suicides are men? Misogyny and the obligatory "well women try more". Women trying more and failing more is a cry for help. Find yourself a nice divorced woman. They know what they want (usually) and the bloom is off the rose (i.e. they're practical or maybe I was just lucky). Most male personality types are rare among women. A lesbian woman is like the ideal personality (laid back, practical, outdoorsy, logical) for a man with the obvious drawback of not being attracted to you. I got lucky and found someone who's sort of like a man in a woman's body.

I'm suspicious that the claim "no men are showing up to these events" is more factually stated as "no men I'm attracted to are showing up to these events". So, the guys that are showing up are invisible to them. Realistically, why would an attractive man go to one of these, unless maybe as an efficient way to increase his body count with mid women (i.e. hot women ALSO don't need to go to these events)

Honestly, two mature people viewing each other as replaceable is probably the best kind of relationship you can have. My girlfriend and I both love each other a lot. However, I know she can easily "replace" me...and I know that I'm a great enough guy that I can easily "replace" her. "Replace" meaning replace with some reasonably good partner...not necessarily as good as we are for each other. So, after 6+ years of being together, we don't take each other for granted. TBH, women REALLY do not want men en masse to stop using female attention as a measure of their self worth. Women would have virtually no leverage over men at that point. Also, although guys do have their particular areas of consumerism, as a whole, guys would probably spend less money if there's no woman in their life demanding the household furnishings meet societal norms / expectations (i.e. there will be broad economic impacts) Honestly this is already happening with MGTOW and society ignori…

I've seen a video about her life and problems. I know she was already depressed, but I bet she thought "maybe life will be easier as a man". She found out it isn't, just bad in different ways, better in others. Most likely, her personality was a hybrid of the typical "masculine" and "feminine" and she never felt like she had a safe place in society. I think if there aren't many men showing up, this could potentially reverse the power dynamic. Note I have not tried speed dating before. Show up dressed well, hair / facial hair freshly trimmed, in decent shape (Dad bod or better), and have a list of things you want from a woman. Interview them like you're looking to fill a position but in no hurry; scrubs need not apply, quality candidates only. Well actually the same drive has to be there in a different capacity. I'm guessing the equivalent frustration for women would be if a woman really REALLY wanted to have children, had a partner she really wants to have a baby with, was starting to get too old to have children and that partner who otherwise loves her a lot, absolutely refuses to impregnate her....For the sake of argument, we'll assume he could do it with 100% success any time he wanted to do so. This happens every single time with…

Female desire is generally responsive. If there's nothing triggering it, you don't lament your lack of desire. The male sex drive is active. It doesn't go to sleep just because it's inconvenient. At best you can stay busy and try to ignore the frustration....that only lasts for so long. Masturbation is only a satisfactory substitute for so long. You are trying to equate two things that are not the same. Friendships are a better substitute for romantic relationships for women than they are for me…

Quick question, you do realize men can't read your mind right? Initial attraction can only be based on looks. Genuinely wanting to learn more about you to see if he likes your personality requires "talking" and he's asking for advice on the talking part. I think they DID decide to not waste their time worrying for, nor voting for, people that appear to wish harm on them. It shouldn't be a crime, but it should vastly reduce or completely void any right to alimony. Don't make the person being cheated on pay for their ex to fuck other guys or shack up with them but not get remarried so they can keep pulling in the sweet sweet alimony.

I'm not necessarily addressing YOU as an individual, but the general concept that it's healthy for a relationship for one partner (usually the woman, but definitely not always) to have sex very rarely relative to the libido of the other partner. I understand that childbirth and other stresses, might cause some issues, hopefully temporarily. However, if two people in a sexual relationship are not having sex, there's usually a problem or there will be. One person seems to view it as a burden or it…

There is truth to the pills and that truth is even part of the women's liberation movement (I.e. women enjoy sex too, especially with partners who are good at it). It is important to not get too extreme in any viewpoint though. Most women are not "virginal Madonnas" nor are most women disloyal "sluts", nor are they all gold diggers. Ultimately masculinity is something that developed in human society and was useful/valuable to society, most likely for tens of thousands of years. Protecting your family / tribe? Guys fight physically more, but forgive and forget 1000x easier than women. Do we call women holding grudges for years/decades "toxic feminity"? You've automatically made yourself wrong. Women are most definitely NOT always the ones who bear the burden of what parenthood brings. One, my girlfriend has been in K-5 education for 20 years. She currently has a family where the mother just split because she couldn't handle being a mother. The father is struggling, but he's trying to take care of his two kids. Your interpretation is probably closer to what he actually wants. He's really asking, how would you feel if your current partner was more enthusiastic / adventurous with their previous partners. Obviously not good Also, for the anal example everyone keeps bringing up, it's not really a question of "you tried it once in the past and didn't like it and won't let me try it". I saw a YouTube video a few days ago that answers your question. I believe the title or thumbnail was "Why buy the cow when you can drink the milk for free?" Women no longer wait for marriage to have sex. Therefore men do not have to commit to get sex. So they don't commit, nor care about the other things because they don't have to. QED. Overweight is not the same as "fat". Overweight is a "few extra pounds". The medical definition is BMI of 25 to 29.9. "Fat" is BMI of 30+ for obese. Women still have more leeway on this than guys since some guys like top/bottom heavy women, but the gender reverse is less common. Most guys aren't going to be judgmental of a woman in the overweight range...if they are, get them out of your life.

It is because the world is not a place of absolutes as the black pill movement would have you believe. Love is not usually rational. It is a viral trend because the red pill movement is a mix of valid and exaggerated (partially invalid) things. Men ARE getting in touch with our feelings and we are not liking the gender roles / treatment that is normalized by society. Women are more free to be sexual creatures and that scares some men. Yep, this is not a gender specific problem. Some people have good genetics, some have bad. Some people take care of themselves (sunscreen and a decently healthy diet go a LONG way) and some don't. It also helps to not get too attached to the fashion that was popular when you were in your late teens and early 20s.

I think the lack of a ranking system beyond a threshold is probably the norm. MAYBE a top 1% or 0.1% man or woman breaks out of this "hot enough" zone. The fear / worry OP is talking about aligns with "La Belle Dame Sans Merci". The tale of a painfully beautiful fey (elven) woman seen riding through a forest by some young knight. After that day he spent the rest of his life pining for her because no mere human woman could compare. This would be exceedingly unlikely in the actual dating world. ..…

Exactly this. They want some strange or they want a genetically "superior" baby to be raised by their financially "reliable" partner. If they get caught, "oh, I was so unhappy. He didn't worship me like I was Aphrodite incarnate...The ungrateful SOB". "You go girl!!! Cheat on that man who 'took you for granted'"

Care less. Even in a relationship it makes you better. It is sad, but fairytale romances don't really exist. You go all-in, you get your teeth kicked in and your heart ripped out. I love my girlfriend immensely. If tomorrow she said "I'm bored, move along and have a good life" I would probably say "Alright, you too", and while I would be sad for a while, I'd move on relatively quickly and we'd probably even stay friends. I guess you get to this point where you can love someone and yet stay indep…

No. I make her laugh all the time and feel happier and more loved and taken care of than any man she's ever been with.... otherwise she would/should be with them. My girlfriend enjoys having s…

Hypergamy is just a fact (hence red pill) that is true for most females of nearly all SPECIES as hypergamy is part of evolutionary drives. I mean look at the absolute most successful women . They usually end up with someone at the top of some kind of social structure (investment bankers, entrepreneurs, sport stars, directors/producers, fashion icons, etc). Not all women necessarily REQUIRE a partner of higher value.....just something they respect. You can have a blue collar job and be a pillar o…

I didn't mean I learned to drive a tank. I learned that angling is very important for tank armor to actually work. I never really thought of things like light, medium, heavy tanks and tank destroyers. Ammo selection. Some of the history of various tanks and famous battles (the awards for certain things are named after famous battles / people). It is similar to FPS, but there are still things to learn about history and battle tactics.

Ok, well, playing those kind of simulators is inherently more interesting than a random FPS. I played flight simulators a LONG time ago (on DOS when I had to fiddle around with memory config to get them to load). They are interesting....more like preflight training. I've learned a bit about historical warfare playing old war games ("Centurion defender of Rome" I think it was) and some interesting info about tanks from playing World of Tanks. I also garden though. Also go to music concerts. Also …

Women are currently having to deal with subjugation eh? There is no patriarchy, at least not for the past 2 or 3 decades.... There is only the oligarchy where MOST people are subjugated to their greed / thirst for power. The reason males get upset at feminism is because they are a part of the vast majority of low power people, male or female. If they've succeeded in life it was because they worked harder, smarter and/or were lucky. When you accuse them of benefiting from "the patriarchy" you are…

A friend of mine from high school was one of the first female fighter pilots. She is now an astronaut. You can have minimum strength requirements for certain roles, but you can't say women can't fight on the front lines. Even strength is a bit iffy....Women generally have pretty strong legs, men have stronger upper bodies. A woman in good physical strength can probably still drag a wounded soldier out of the line of fire. Women can certainly drive tanks, fly jets/helicopters, shoot a machine gun…

There is no need for "should" if you maintain a healthy relationship with non-sexual affection. My girlfriend and I kiss, hug, hold hands, and grab each other's butts randomly throughout the day (usually) without it leading to sex. If I'm horny, I kiss / squeeze her a little more insistently. If she maintains her current body state, then I just enjoy the kiss / squeeze. If she melts into me and kisses me back even more insistently, then it's game on. I also "read the room". Yeah, "should" is the only problem with OPs claim. A lot of women have responsive sex drives....So they might usually be neutral.....If their partner is actually a good partner and lover, that neutral attitude should be easy to convert to willing lust. There is no "should" needed in this situation because the woman knows her partner will give her pleasure. A lame ass partner who's horny and demanding who has a neutral partner and does NOTHING to get their sexual motor running is by no means enti…

If you read what I wrote and still think the female co-parent is doing most of the heavy lifting that's on you. 50/50 custody is usually actually 50.1%/49.9% in terms of taxes so the mother generally is the "custodial" parent and the father is reduced to just being "some guy" because of the 0.1% and non-custodial status. I cannot directly give my daughter (16 yo currently) money for college from her 529 account because I'm just "some guy" and it will be counted as an untaxed income to her. So, I…

That's a good trend, but that is something that makes a relationship better after the fact (marriage or at least living together). American and "Western" society doesn't respect/value child rearing as a rule, regardless of who's doing it....probably because it doesn't produce profit for the owner class even if it produces happier couples and children. Ideally parents should teach their kids how to be happy in a relationship, but in a lot of families that would just be the blind leading the blind…

Bleh, this thread is mostly a bunch of people (mostly women seems like) going off on people bitching about their assumed gender norms for parents. For your question, the answer is obvious. A woman is assumed to be nurturing by default, even though some women are not. A man is not assumed to be nurturing by default. So a "single father" has proven that he is willing and able to participate in the rearing of a child. Being a good parent is generally speaking, attractive to both genders. On the opp…

Lol, you are the one redefining words and being a pompous ass to boot. Single father / single mother: a parent who is not married and currently "single". This is in opposition to a "mother" or a "father" who is then just assumed to be married or in a relationship. Amazing how words can have multiple meanings and all of them can be correct.

You're right, having 49% custody is so very VERY much easier than having 51%. The kids don't need to eat or have laundry done. They don't need to get to school on time on "Dad days" because EVERYONE knows Dad's just can't be expected to do those things! Also, landlords don't charge rent for an extra bedroom for a kid if you only have 49% custody, so that's cool Also, as a single Dad, you don't have to constantly reassure your kids that you love them and want to be in their life to counteract the…

None of them. . Mary is the best option for a long-term relationship except for the Christian + waiting for marriage. I'd be willing to take things slow with her, but not wait until marriage. Would only get married if her sex drive improves. If her sex drive dropped down to nothing again after getting married I would immediately divorce her. Why? I'm not a cheater, but I'm not going to live a sexless life either. Also, both men and women strengthen their bond via sex (oxytocin). Not having sex w…

I don't object to that as a healthy approach. I even agree with it to some degree. People are not homogenous. In your situation, you would not date someone at that stage in their life. Someone else may be less mature and have just barely stood on their own feet at 27. So for them, a responsible 21 year old might be much closer in level.

This is the same thing as white people and their "privilege" (I'm white by the way). It doesn't feel like privilege per se, because it is more of a lack of an obvious institutional disadvantage. We don't fear cops (why would we?). We know that if we walk up to a stranger and politely ask for directions they'll probably help us and won't be afraid of us (why would they?). If we walk into a store with our backpack on the way home from work, loss prevention won't follow us around (why would they?).…

The wage gap is bullshit. Debunked many times. They just take all the money earned by women and divide it by the number of women. Same thing for men. Then they say "women earn 70 cents for every dollar a man earns". That's it. No explanation. Women choose jobs that pay less, but that are more fulfilling (teachers, social workers, etc). Let's assume you're watching amateur porn so that there's at least a possibility of sincerity (bear in mind that makers of porn know this and make fake "amateur" porn). The woman in such a situation is obviously an exhibitionist (hence it's being filmed). I am aware of that, but I don't know that Europeans had enough contact with "the Far East" at the time they were pondering it in the West. I personally have adopted eastern philosophy as my approach to life and existence. Also I was specifically referring to the founding fathers of the United States when I referred to "wealthy white men" since only landowners were viewed as worthy of the right to vote. My only beef with your statement is the common assumption that "men built a society". Not only was it primarily white men, it was mostly just wealthy white men who built the rules. Everyone else, including middle class and lower white men, have mostly just been along for the ride.
