'Oh but we endanger and sacrifice ourselves' is ultimately a misandrist argument. You're reducing the value of male life to how useful it is to society. It's also not an argument against crime rates.

The article's opening argument is actually coherent unlike your sniveling 'ReVErsE tHe gENdErs' bullshit. There is no reason whatsoever to incriminate anyone on a 5 year age gap where the lower age is nearly an adult and sexually active. 'Empathy: Before you scream “This sexual predator should be locked up!!! And have his life ruined!!!" ask yourself if the teacher were your son or brother or friend, would you want him or her, as the case may be, locked up and branded a sex offender? If you say …

Feminism is not nearly as relevant as MRAs make it seem. We didn't need feminism to have widespread multi-generational child abuse, family court bias, the economic system that exploits Men into having higher injury and death rates. Feminist involvement in meaningful anti-male policy is almost always backed by more serious actors, ie: the state.

I think criticism is sorely overdue but I disagree on the importance you assign to it. First and foremost, the most important issue: a movement that can't organize some effective power isn't a movement, it's an online hobby. Criticism of your ideas: Feminism isn't successful because of academia. That's an area where feminism has succeeded, but feminist theory is practically irrelevant even in feminist circles. Echoing another poster here: Online debates are irrelevant, cringe bullshit. They don'…

Seeing Men abandon personal wealth and greed outrages pretty much everyone. 'Loser' Men are universally disregarded following the idea that the only thing that matters about a Man is what he provides. If you've ever been a loser with a girlfriend there's *always* someone who says something about it, it outrages them that somehow a male slipped through the system of exploitation and in into someone's pussy.

Sometimes: https://daily.jstor.org/forensic-dna-evidence-can-lead-wrongful-convictions/ The biggest problem now is a legal system that takes decades to respond to exonerating evidence and a supreme court that rules against the right to appeal.

Why do you think the family court is different, when false allegations are made in family court as they often are, and your employer is contacted and you lose your job... that's your life down the drain. You don't know what it has to do with Men's Rights? Probably because you've accepted a culture of misandry. Purely from an MRA perspective this was a miscarriage of justice against multiple male victims. A male abuse victim comes forward and tells his story. This is 100% the feminist thing to do. In retaliation, he is: Illegally, in violation of his rights, banned from using his own speech because his ex asked the court for a civil order. But these were the women who worked 14 hours a day in the East End of London and who were exposed to deadly phosphorous vapours on a daily basis. You couched the argument in terms of my question, which you never answered: ' What do you think occurs between the ages of 17 and 18 that suddenly makes this girl capable of consent where she wasn't before.' You used the argument in the same loose fashion of feminist theory -> you intended to dodge the question of whether or not a 17 year old woman, a woman who enthusiastically consented to sex on multiple occasions, would be fundamentally different than the same woman a few months later in term…

You are parroting feminist theory with your first question. Your second question I agree with, it is a conflict of interest, but my statement is about rape. Re: the first question. If it's rational then every feminist argument alleging that a 'power imbalance exists therefore it doesn't matter what the context is, the more 'powerful' partner is always at fault' is also fundamentally sound. Do you want that? Do you want to go to jail on that premise? But on that matter, why can't you or I consent…

It's not rape. It's so absurd that MRAs just parrot dipshit feminists on this. What do you think occurs between the ages of 17 and 18 that suddenly makes this girl capable of consent where she wasn't before... despite voluntarily going over to her teacher's house to have sex multiple times. None of you can answer this, but as usual rely on butthurt downvotes to censor dissent.

The SC court can in fact, grant rights. It has done so multiple times. The SC has acted as a legislative body in multiple cases. I'm not even going to explain this, you don't know what you're talking about and you'll never catch up.
/r/MensRights19/05/22 10:20 PM

It's not a sincere movement. Most MRAs will support misandrist politicians, courts, and law when it comes down to a vote or a position. They're fine with posting outrage articles but when it comes to doing something they don't want Men to succeed.

They don't go logically with a carceral system either. >By all means, repeal laws punishing victimless crimes Depends what you mean by this. Not all victims are legitimate. Domestic Violence is a hugely exaggerated issue that has victims, yet decades of grave punishment have kept DV crime rates above the general crime rates. It's just as you say, the courts, police, social services are what matter and they're very insular, they know Men can be abused by the system without pushback and they have an enormous profit motive to continue doing what they do. Social awareness of a problem rarely becomes policy and no serious suggestion has been made by anyone in power to change things because of the Heard/Depp trial. Worse, if he wins it may be used by courts/political groups to justify the system as 'fair'.

Your argument is faulty. We do benefit from abortion, couples undoubtedly benefit from family planning in general, but it was never our right. There are haters, sure. Incels too. Lots of different freaks are attracted to political movements. The most accepted opinion here is that if your movement generally accepts the hate or extremists then you're all guilty, so in the same sense that feminism is guilty of it Mens Rights is too. The only thing I care about is if it's being used for a productive, universal good. I think there's good policies behind MRA ideas, but it's not very productive.

I'm not aware of any facts on that, but I am aware of the facts on the 'normal, professional courts', and I think those courts if they were founded as recently as Title IX hearings would have basically the same lack of standards and due process. This sub is bad but not because of "Misogyny". The users here are simply not interested in Men's Rights. The undeniable proof is present in what's popular here: outrage threads and calling out hypocrisy. The only threads that achieve mass approval are outrage threads about older women sleeping with teenagers or other criminal cases where everyone wants collective revenge on female criminals. When you've seen the 1000th case of 'durr isn't this a double standard?' without any effort to protest yo…

I disagree. Your blind obedience to state authority and need to jump in on situations where the 'victim' isn't a victim will ultimately hurt more Men than Women.
/r/MensRights31/03/22 01:11 AM
1

This isn't even what I said, not only are you copy pasting feminist arguments in defense of feminist policy, you're openly falsely accusing me of defending pedophilia. Sorry, I was able to consent at 16. What the law thinks is irrelevant, which is precisely why it's wrong.
/r/MensRights31/03/22 01:10 AM
-8

So what you're saying is, you don't care what the male victim thinks, feels, and believes. You want to be able to tell him who he is, what happened, and how much the woman should be punished. This is not supporting male victims, it's using them for political gains.
/r/MensRights30/03/22 03:28 AM
-10

I know that. Read what I said very carefully. No-one asked, meaning they should ask. You should not be an online dipshit telling victims what the law should do. The law should not tell victims what they should do. If you're actually for Men's Rights, you must recognize the Male Victim's desires. What you're suggesting is Feminist policy. Feminists made it so that reporting victims would be unable to drop charges on their own behalf. It caused a lot of damage.
/r/MensRights30/03/22 03:23 AM
-20

What's your point? You can't establish ethics by pointing out double standards. No-one has asked the boy if he wants to press charges and I doubt he does. Not a single cogent argument in response to this. Stupid fucking MRAs will do everything in their power to make the legal situation worse for men by ramping up punishments and zeal over sex "crimes".
/r/MensRights29/03/22 09:30 PM
5

Feminist and Conservative propaganda. You cannot be seen 'going easy' on a """criminal""" (accused man) or both sides will scream bloody murder and demand 'more punishments for a weak system'.
/r/MensRights29/03/22 04:04 AM
5

It's a bigger issue for Feminists because feminist policy is about exclusion and privilege. They are deciding who gets the inhumane end of the system. MRAs have nothing to offer so it's not important.

I feel like you're going to start unpacking how brutal this is and realize the full scope of how you've been victimized. No-one can understand except the ones who've been through it and it is as traumatizing as being a repeat victim of felony domestic violence, but isn't recognized as such by an uncaring legal system that makes billions off of it. I'm hoping one day there will be a sincere legal challenge against the courts for the weaponization of police, jails, protection orders, etc. in break…

You have zero reasoning capacity.
/r/MensRights21/03/22 02:31 AM

I'm not surprised you can't figure it out given your original logic. Think about it very carefully. ONE PERSON is all that's required in withdrawal of consent in order to make an exchange non-consensual. Therefore, if one person withdraws consent for sex it can't happen without consent, therefore if one person withdraws their consent to be pregnant there can't be pregnancy without consent.

Removing monopoly prices on drugs would help everyone. The American healthcare system (really just insurance companies dictating our policies) is awful and improving it would help everyone. This isn't a gendered issue. Men would benefit more from both.

Whether or not it's painful or altering is irrelevant. Even if childbirth and childrearing were painless it would still be forcing someone to labor, to accept a role forced onto them, and live out the rest of their life because of someone else's orders.
/r/MensRights21/03/22 12:56 AM

That's not consent. Two people are required to consent to sex because they are both choosing what to do with their bodies as individuals. If one person says no to sex, is it okay to rape them? That's the argument you're making.

You think they should because you're fine with slavery and against human rights and self-determination. What you're suggesting is slavery if the consent of a Man is required to abort. The "Baby" doesn't exist yet by the way, it's a fetus. Punishments are for crimes, not personal choices.
/r/MensRights21/03/22 12:46 AM

The goal of a political movement is power, through activism, legal challenge, politics, social work, etc. "Advice" cannot lead to Men having rights. This is wrong. Legal Bias predates Feminism and it was established by 19th century conservatives. Feminists weren't a part of the legal establishment or ruling class. The problem isn't Feminism, Feminism is a symptom of a larger 'Gynocentrism'.

Unfortunately, so are MRAs. Emma Goldman's writing on the sexes, marriage, family and Capitalism show both how alien and familiar her ideas would be in contrast to modern feminism or the suffragettes she criticized. Because so many people are retroactively called 'feminists' today so many people don't realize this. You can find articles falsely claiming on the 'legacy of feminism' of Emma Goldman and Rosa Luxemburg - both of which wrote against the women's movement. It's actually a good example of how sexist the feminist movement is against intellectual women - if you're a woman and you wrote about something - you must be a *feminist* version of that thing.

See Elizabeth Bernstein on Carceral Feminism to reveal the often ignored truth that Feminists are frequently allied with rightwing movements. The only way to be revolutionary is to know that Dudes Rock.

That's horrific. It's interesting how even on this sub people are unfortunately ignorant has to how evil the family court really is and what it really does. This is not something you want to have to 'experience in order to understand'. There needs to be a sub for family court abuse victims.

I think the problem is that the state of the dating market is boiled down to 'Incels vs. Women' and this is the only subject anyone has passion for in a much more complex system. Even if you're getting pussy in this dating market, it's still really bad. There are also some uncomfortable truths, virtually everything incels say about lookism checks out on a scientific level across dating, employment, intelligence, social acceptance, and ethics. Women are absolutely the ruling class of the dating m…

This was pointed out in an article I posted about the failure of VAWA to reduce domestic violence, but because Women initiate 70% of domestic violence, lead in domestic violence reciprocal and non-reciprocal, and the most injurious domestic violence occurs *when both partners are involved* on average - the most effective and responsible advice to reduce domestic violence is to tell women to stop hitting their boyfriends. It's not just a threat to ideology though, it's also about money. Money for…

You are 100% on this that there is a huge anti-capitalist perspective here. Men are being transformed into indentured servants to avoid having a social safety net and to keep housing privatized, Lawyers are a parasite middleman industry extracting the wealth of families, Judges are the bagholders of Capitalist property relations. Poor Men consistently fall into the worst traps of Capitalist society as the disposable 'worker bee' class. If you look into the history of Alimony, which is something …

Good question. It's more than just the bill itself, VAWA has placed tens of thousands of professional feminists in positions of power and caused enormous damages over the last two decades. Reforming won't change this. There would need to be mass firing and male representation, entrenched bigot Judges would have to be removed, Family Law would have to be fined for their damages profiting off of VAWAs bias. Men would seriously need to be a focus and just 'trying to make VAWA fair' wouldn't do that…

Yeah, I don't think that's (teach mean not to hit) realistic because once you've been hit several times you begin to develop a fight or flight reaction that becomes more instinctual. VAWA has produced no statistical advantage in Domestic Abuse numbers in 20 years. "The final blow to the “VAWA works” argument is that the rate of domestic violence by women against men came down right in line with that by men against women, but VAWA provides essentially no services to male victims or female perpetrators. How do VAWA proponents explain that anomaly? They don’t." "In fact, domestic violence expert Dr. Angela Moore Parmley of the U.S. Department of Justice has said, “We have no ev…

If you're a white man, you can't do this anyway, so there's little reason to try and tabulate your victimhoods. Commoditization of relationships predates Capitalism. Bride-price and Dowry are ancient. Two common but opposite forms of price for relationships that adjust for the market of relationships, Dowry is when women are valuable in stable, high male population civilizations, Bride-price when women are a burden and male population is low, or the world is dangerous and unstable. you point this out yourself when you cover how women could've played the field for profit in the past. > While it’s easy to b…

It's both, and that's hard to answer without writing an essay. You're very right that the implementation is at fault, but the language of the act itself - even while cleaned up with gender neutral language - is directly referencing feminist literature. Also VAWA really isn't even that gender neutral. The definition of DV in VAWA is straight out of the Duluth Model's 'wheel of power' - but directly after this definition it lists out crimes stats against women. This is an unsubtle message that the…

I noticed some ignorance coming out of this sub regarding VAWA, and there are some terrible arguments coming out of the left that no-one would accept from elsewhere. ie: 'The language of VAWA is gender neutral so it must be fair.' The basis of this is discredited patriarchy theory, the Duluth model, and a push toward 'believi…

Exactly, this is a 'look I made a cosmetic change!' kind of activism. As the feminists who post here pointed out to me recently, VAWA,one of the most openly bigoted laws and the basis of a billion dollars worth of funding yearly to train judges to ignore the rights of Men and give out grant money for placing protection orders without due process, has entirely gender neutral language (except for the name). But it's built on top of institutional bias and performed by bigots, so it doesn't matter.

There are plenty of ways to approach this because Men are on average further from Capital than Women, but leftists are almost universally hostile to Men's issues if not Men themselves. Yes, a lot of these are things you could never defend which is why they're a powerful entryway to bad policies.
