And yet you’re here in this sub. Who are you trying to fool with all this? *not trying to be mean*

I hear you man, it’s hard. Other guy is being a bit dramatic though, i get it can go too far but its pretty human to idealize a crush

Having tortured myself in a similar scenario for literally over a year I can confirm it’s better for your head to not see them. I thought I needed to see or talk to them again for closure and it just made it hurt worse.

Odd question but do you notice that happening often? I mean, seeing gender/feminist discourses just pop up randomly in the mainstream with no precedent? Im pretty sure that boyfriend article came from a legacy media outlet so i had suspected it wasn’t organic.

What would make this their true nature, though? Sure traditional marriage was sustained by its conditions but isn’t this just a different set of conditions that could change in the future? Nothing about our current subjectivity is normal or natural. I get a lot of what you’re saying in the post and some ppl here are gaslighting you a bit about this being a phenomenon, but i don’t think we have to essentialize it to make a case for male fraternity. Frankly i think at least half of these lesbians …

I think what doesn’t get accounted for enough is that people are very ashamed of admitting they want love these days, far more than they are of sex when it used to be the other way around. So while some men def are just shallow i think you also can’t take all of them at their word (which does make things difficult)

Something I haven’t seen acknowledged often is that both sexes are bothered by cynical talk about attraction, which is very common on this sub. Men are fine with talking about themselves as average/mid but when they comment on the behavior of ‘average’ women that’s when women get wound up. The exact same happens in reverse when women comment in some way on ‘average’ men, but again, they’re fine with the idea of a woman being average so long as a woman is saying it. We’re comfortable hearing our …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
