I would add that we shouldn't be in weddings for marriages we don't support. Don't be afraid to ask the hard questions about your friends significant other in the dating phase, and let your friend know that you don't like them. People are getting extremely soft these days and do not want to have hard conversations.

How connected are you with this church? I think a bigger issue here may be that your church is not teaching the Bible. Churches that are pro-LGBTQ do not hold to the authority of scripture and often go down a dangerous theological path. I would advise you to leave this church and seek out a different one. It may be uncomfortable to tell them that you are leaving the church but it is for your (and God’s!) best interest. You can be honest with them as to why. If they flip out on you for leaving, t…

Your nonChristian friends are weighing you down. You either - become the influencer (it doesn’t seem like you have shown you are capable of this, yet) - drop them. You don’t need to cut them out of your life completely (they still need someone to share the gospel with them), but spending a ton of time with them is hurting you. I don’t know your exact situation, but it seems to me that if “there aren’t women that want what you want”, then you aren’t looking in the right places

I really just want to meet good people that share the same ideas, talk about the Bible So…church? I'm someone who could have very easily fall into becoming the toxic type redpill and just use women, with all my friends being players What does this have to do with anything? If you want to strengthen yourself, you need to find people who will pursue Christ along with you. Also, get better friends. You are freaking out about her past sin when you have a much higher count than her. Stop that. You’re also saying that it’s a “worse” for women to engage in that than it is for men. That’s sexist. The Bible does not teach that. Deep strength is on point with pre-marital abstinence; if God is not at the center of your decisions, then you are doing it wrong. You have the freedom to choose who you marry. Could you dump her? Yes. Could you marry her? Yes, and you would be making a lifelong commitmen…

Can i ask you a question? How do you feel about guys asking your daughter out at church? How does your daughter feel about it? Ive heard a lot of women complain about how guys DON'T ask out women at church, but I've also heard that they don't like it when men DO ask them out. Plus there seems to be a stigma around it, but obviously church is the best place to find someone. Personally I think it just comes down to how attractive you are and how you go about doing it. You go to church because you …

First off, I would avoid reading secular RP material. That stuff is very different from what RPC is focused on and does not serve God. The secular RP is self-serving. 5k/month for 16 yr old is insane. I’ve never heard of that. Good job OP. As far as advice, I’ll let the older guys chime in. I do have a few questions though: Why are you cutting off your friends? What do you mean they “aren’t on your level of thinking”? Seems like a pride issue. Based on this post, OP and his girlfriend have different levels of faith commitment (not to mention the denominational difference). What would you say about a context where people are not going to church every week? (i.e. they pick and choose which weeks they want to go). I persistently make it clear that Christ should be our number one priority and try to model that everyday, but I deal with people who make excuses for missing church (I'm not talking about missing a couple of weeks a year due to vacation, special event, etc. - I'm talking about "having a lot of work to do," "out of town this weekend," "went to bed really la…

What is with the obsession with crapping on the church? You realize that this isnt doing anything to make the church stronger. The people around you will not want to go to church if all they hear is your criticism about it. You wanna go to another church? Fine, find a church you like. You want to see change in the church? Do something. Be the change. If you think the Christian life is boring, you have not found the Christian life yet. If a woman “wanting to have fun” equates to compromising her …

I found it interesting what Levi was saying about Christian women being weirder about dating. I have definitely seen that. Anyways, I have a hard time convincing myself to expand my dating pools outside the church because it is basically a crapshoot. - I strive to go to church every week. For the most part, it is something that I want to do, rather than something that "needs to be done" - Personally, I do not like online church. It feels very disconnecting. Watching online church was very hard for me back when the initial shutdown happened. I've found "bring her along to an activity you would have done anyway" comments to be unhelpful. Yes, it is not as formal, but women appreciate clarity, and if you are asking her to "come along" she might not know what your intentions are. There are so many men who do not want to lead in today's society. So many guys who want to perpetually "hang out" without ever defining the relationship. You're basing this WAY too much on beauty/attractiveness. Yes, obviously you should marry someone you're attracted to, and the person you marry should be attracted to you, but I find your motives to break off the marriage to be very weak. Basically you're saying you want to break off the marriage with her because you want a hotter wife. I really don't find Christ to be in this way of thinking. Interesting how you say that churches are afraid of losing money if they start in person services again. Recreational weed violates our value of sobriety and self control. Make no mistake, the Bible is against it. I am not sure whether to wait until I am in a solid relationship and get rid of all my weed, then mention later that I previously used. So you want to hide it until you can’t hide it anymore? Or whether I should pray that I find a woman who will understand my enjoyment of the plant and not be bothered by it. You could tell her that she’s not your type. Be clear that you just see her as an acquaintance/friend. Continue to model Christ. Do you have a friend group that goes to church together? You could invite her to come with the group. Just make sure you’re clear with her and not leading her on. You don’t have to see every women in your life as a potential partner. Your non-Christian female friends need Jesus just as much as your non-Christian male friends.

If you’re talking about committed Christians active pursuing Christ, then yes the behavior would be important regarding the church’s quality. But some people go to church and have no interest in relationship with the church(people). Probably more common in large churches. They can go to church on sunday and party the rest of the week. Maybe they just go because a family member makes them or wants them to. Anyways, the church (people) won’t correct or personally guide you if you don’t have a rela…

When did he say he was hooking up with her? Also, a persons actions do not reflect the church they go to. Many people go to church on Sunday and that’s it.

I’ve never entertained online dating but I’ve heard eharmony is good because it forces you to take a decent amount of time to set up your profile. Also the guy who created it is a Christian

I wouldn’t worry about it that much for a vacation. If you want, you can still go on a run or other cardio on vacation

I guess he’s speaking about the Old Testament, but his statement can be applied to all scripture. I can’t believe we are seriously debating whether it is wrong to have premarital sex.

“Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Therefore go out from their midst, and be sepa…

The Bible gives two clear grounds for divorce: abandonment by unbeliever and unfaithfulness. God hates divorce. You made a commitment when you married her. Do everything you can to revive your marriage, but I don’t think threatening her with divorce is the way to go here.

I hope things work out for you. But if things don’t, remember that God has a plan for you even if you can’t see it. Have you prayed about this at all? I hate how much ghosting is considered acceptable in today’s society. It really does a toll on people. But from the post, she seems genuinely interested in you, so I hope there’s a good reason. Plz update later
