Wonderful advice being given on here, I would also advise you get a new phone number and leave for a decent amount of time all social media sites so you can't accidentally log on to her page. Work on yourself and look to the future. Good luck.

I feel your pain, maybe I was lucky as my ex wife had all my money before we divorced. Lots of men in the UK quit their job and become taxi drivers (like uber) but cash only jobs so there is no fixed or provable income so the lazy bitch has to get a job.

It's fantastic you had these feelings for your soon to be ex wife but unfortunately she didn't share or show the same. It's an old cliche but time is a great healer, just stay strong, fill your day with things that make you feel good about yourself. Sitting at home brooding should be avoided at all costs.

Ask yourself, do you really want to be married to this woman for another 20 years, can you imagine this woman and 2 children being dependent on you. Is this the way you saw your life developing. If the answer is no, GTFO now.

It wasn't an agreement via our solicitor, it was just an agreement between us so we didn't end up both buying the same thing twice.

I must have been very lucky as we had joint custody and had a private agreement on payment for anything the children needed. She must have really wanted me gone.

She had a secretarial job, not sure how much she was earning, we agreed she would stay in the house as there wasn't any mortgage so nothing to pay to keep a roof over their heads. So no need for child support.

Question, why are you paying child support if you are having 50/50 custody? I had equal split with my ex wife and only contributed to the children's needs (if she bought something I would give her half) as we fed and gave lunch money equally.

I would recommend a hobby that includes social interaction as an evening mixing with people will make you feel better about yourself but also make the time pass quicker.

If the hoarding is as bad as you say (don't disbelieve you) but photograph everything, put newspapers in the photo to show the date otherwise it can't be proved to be current. I had a relationship with a woman who hid the fact she was deeply in dept until we had bought a house which she couldn't pay her half.

A small thing that I found helpful. Agree on who buys the children's clothes etc, we did this (agreed my wife would purchase any item they needed ) and upon being shown the receipt I would give the money to her when I returned the children. Saves a great deal of double purchases.

In the UK we use solicitors, make an appointment (some give 30 minutes free) and discuss your options as I don't think recording your STBXW works in the UK. But certainly don't put up with abusive behaviour, but as a man you will get absolutely no help from the authorities. Plan somewhere to live because if she kicks off you will be the one told to leave the home.

Don't forget, all men are guilty until proven innocent.

Do not under any circumstances go back to this woman, there are plenty of nice ladies out there that would enjoy your company.

I would recommend that you say yes when it's convenient because time with your children is wonderful but learn to say no when it's not.

Remember that when all the money has been spent and your ex-wife has nothing left to spend on lawyers she will be more flexible (money can always be re-earned) but you will have a lot more time with you child and that cannot be replaced.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
