And we circle back to something I said before, nobody is going to be arrested for love bombing! Stop acting like that’s what’s going to happen! The CPS advises the police on criminal cases, so in order for “love bombing” to even be considered in a relationship (in terms of the law), you would have to already have the police investigating you for abuse. Which probably means you’re abusive. Plus, the advice in the article is a) not from the CPS but instead from a random therapist and b) is somethi…

Per the article: “So what do you do if you think you’re being love bombed? Shelley recommends trying to set out and stick to a set of boundaries, saying: ‘In the early stages of love bombing, you can try limiting texts, phone calls, gifts, or any attention to in-person contact, once or twice a week only.” This is advice for someone who thinks they are currently being love bombed. It’s not something to do unless you suspect you are being love bombed. If you think the relationship is moving too fa…

I must not have done a great job getting my point across, because I didn’t mean that it definitely points to abuse, I meant that it can be a sign of abuse. Sorry for any confusion. Where I disagree with you is that love bombing is NOT just talking to your partner once per day. This is the disingenuous nature of these comments that I was talking about. Too often people will say, “Oh, I can’t even say hi to women these days smh” but that is patently a misleading statement. It’s the same case with …

These comments are very disingenuous. Nobody is going to be arrested for love bombing. It’s a sign of abuse, not abuse in and of itself. In abusive relationships, love bombing is a recognised, common behaviour that is designed to gaslight the victim and confuse them in regards to the abuser’s intentions. It’s a real issue, and deserves to be recognised in law as such.

I think I've lost sight of the original argument, as this was pretty much what I was going to say? How did you end up arguing my point for me? I need more sleep I swear

That's actually a good way of saying it, fair enough

Well not really, because people and their ideas come together

So if I act completely differently to another man, how would you explain that? We are both biologically the same

It was an analogy, I'm not implying you have any power as to who enters the community. I'm just wondering why you are skirting around saying that you don't want certain people here, as you then backtrack and say that anyone is welcome to be here

So are you for excluding people or not? If you think it will cause harm to the community and yet you still say that everyone is welcome here, then you don't care that much do you? It's kind of like saying "I think letting random people into my house will cause a loss of property", but still letting people in while you're saying it.

That makes no sense. "I'm not excluding you, I'm just telling you that I don't want you here"

Just gonna drop the obvious, "learn the difference between sex and gender please". Just in case you can't be bothered to do it yourself, I'll give you a summary: sex is biological and requires surgery/medication to change. Gender is a social construct. It is behaviours and patterns socially linked to people based on their sex. So yes, you can change both your gender and your sex, it's just that one is harder to change and more permanent afterwards. Also I hate this argument that, just because so…

I don't think that they are going to portray She-Hulk as "better" than Bruce, I get the impression that he is trying to teach restraint and spiritual balance but she is, understandably, showing off her newfound strength and not getting the lesson he's trying to teach. You can see in the trailer that Bruce isn't trying to throw the rock as far as he can, and he's doing a yoga pose because yoga is what helped him control his emotions early on in his struggles with Hulk. He's teaching her something…

He could definitely put some of his stuff overhead, there's space in the first pic. Then they can both have legroom. What a novel idea

This mindset is something I will never understand, they're murderers. The common denominator isn't that they're men, because women are murderers as well. The common denominator is that they're murderers. End of discussion

Yo this would be a much bigger issue (and false accusations are an issue) in somewhere like the US or UK, but the law works differently in places like Cyprus. State power is much more prevalent, and often results in police abusing their powers. In this case, there were many issues that wouldn't happen in the US or UK that would have resulted in whatever the police wanted, ergo the woman in question deserves a bit of leniency because she withdrew her original statement that was, for all we know, …

You can't generalise all workplaces like that, in some places there will be a meritocracy but in some places there isn't. In this context however, we are assuming there is one because the people replying to her stated that's what they were doing.

The issue is she wants more female writers as standard, and what others are saying is that yes, they will hire women if they are the BEST CHOICE, not just because they're women. Affirmative action is not the way forward.

Buddy, the people replying to her are saying that they want the talent, regardless of where it comes from. They aren't saying, "Wait, what about the men?". If anything, she's bringing gender into it when there is no need for it

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
