Yeah, it's a simplification. What I think really happens is: Both men and women want relationships, but men are willing to sleep with women they would never date, while women would never do that. So women seek some kind of commitment/expression of romantic interest before 'giving up' sex; men seek sex first and foremost, and whether or not a relationship forms is secondary. This still means that ultimately, in casual dating, men are the ones looking to have sex early on and more often.

There are a lot of fucked up "love stories" that would be horror films if the genders were swapped. Have you seen Licorice Pizza? Regarding emotional intelligence, I think OP is talking about that women are often considered to be more emotionally intelligent by default, even though men are better at many things that could come under "emotional intelligence".

That's what gets me about this bear thing - if they were in the woods with a man AND a bear, they would be cowering behind the guy expecting him to risk his life to save her. It's got to the point that I don't think I could ever have a relationship with a "normal" western woman. And this isn't based on social media ragebait, this is from seeing how the women my age in real life behave. Almost all of them have some degree of problematic opinions of men. At worst it's outright hatred, at best it's seeing men as a means to an end. I have a girlfriend who is the most wonderful person I know, if we ever break up I will just resign myself to dying alone lol.

Housing is a big one. If you open any property website and search for a room in a houseshare you'll see a huge number are advertised as female only. This is illegal everywhere but is probably one of the most unenforced laws there is. I lived in Spain for a short time and it was REALLY bad over there. More than HALF the properties I looked at were listed as female only.

The way women talk about sex is absolutely disgusting and so normalised. My ex girlfriend from when I was 18 had a group chat with 8-10 other women where they would discuss their sex lives in great detail, right down to penis size, etc. She never asked my permission before describing my penis in detail to these strangers I'd never met.
