But (and perhaps I'm more cynical than I'd like to admit) I feel like that doesn't happen enough for my liking. So sometimes when I can find a rare character that embodies something I enjoy or can connect too, I reserve myself to, "I'll take what I can get!" That is the crux of their role within the game. I think there are very few male characters in video games who are there solely for the purpose of being eye-candy. And I for one think that's a shame.
